Hey Sam! How many instruments have you played in your school's ensembles. I know you are "Samuel Plays Brass" but I thought you only play trumpet flavors in your school's ensembles. Just a question...
You're right that I rarely ever perform on anything other than the trumpet. I only recently started playing euphonium in wind ensemble and that's the only other instrument I've actually played in an official ensemble.
@@jamesbanks5597 Understandable. I can read treble (most common transpositions), tenor, and bass, but I absolutely cannot wrap my head around alto clef beyond where Middle C is. Viola parts are always the hardest part of my orchestral notation haha
What a tremendous sound, talent, playing, all. Beautiful.
Thank you! Very kind as always
Thanks for posting this! It's great to see people exploring other instruments.
Love the sound of euphonium.
The classic trumpet solo. C F C. I've had it in like 4 songs played the exact same
wow in tune flutes

Ah, that makes sense. Have a good evening.
Like a real brass player in an orchestra...
Time to catch up on your reading...
🤣🎺
Yes, I know, not the best, but in my defense, the conductor took it far faster than in rehearsal.
@@SamuelPlaysBrass no no, I meant there was plenty of time to read all the Nancy Drew Mysteries.
Oh I see now 😂
How come you’re playing euphonium in this wind ensemble?
Because I enjoy playing euphonium.
Samuel Plays Brass | That’s fair, as I am a euphonium player myself.
Im a trumpet player as well and I also enjoy playing euphonium and other brass instruments as well.
Did you read treble clef on this?
No, I'm fluent in bass clef.
@@SamuelPlaysBrass I'm fluent on both instruments but I'm at a junior high level on bass clef
