Although i don't think Harry should've won over Bey and i agree I feel like he didn't read the room, anytime ppl get into discussion over his sexuality (which he has already said he doesn't label) based off of the weird clothes, i kinda have to roll my eyes. Yes, a lot of fans overhype some of his actions, but I think that a lot of the ppl who dislike him don't know his personality has been like that all the way back in One Direction, he just wasn't allowed to be that expressive as he is now.
Right ! & he knows what he's doing when he puts on a "feminine" outfit, and that's to get people talking! He's an entertainer, that's his job. Staying relevant when new music and projects aren't scheduled to come out and your "character" is kind of on hiatus, is super impertinent to your career as a star. & let's not act like this hasn't always been a topic of discussion for literal decades. Let's not act like Prince, Bowie, Mercury, and how many other entertainers in all elements of the hollywood/music industries were slammed and ridiculed for their choices in characters and outfits. It's such a waste of oxygen as s conversation topic, honestly.
The music industry being about money making and not about the music has always been true. There has never once been a time when the music industry has cared about the music lol. Music & musicians are completely separate to the music industry themselves even though you can't really have one without the other.
miley cyrus is an artist where pretty much all of her albums work with different genres and she pulls it off so well but i just wish she wouldve stuck with rock a little bit longer before endless summer vacation
When you mentioned being interested in planning eras for artists I immediately thought of jazmine zade's series! You two would make an amazing collab. Also, on Troye's new music it's sooo good. I love the sound and the visuals have been immaculate
the thing that really irritates me about the doja cat situation is she's using this whole 'parasocial relationships' conversation as a way to hide what people were originally critiquing her for. no one was talking about fans relationships with her, they were trying to call out the fact that her partner is a terrible person, and she used the 'i hate my fans' bs to sweep that under the rug. I 100% believe her management told her to run with that, to make that a bigger deal than her bf, so people would forget about the original conversation. and the fact that 90% of the people that I've seen talk about her recently don't even acknowledge the fact that it started with her bf kinda proves it ngl.
with ariana’s scandal, i completely agree. like girl idgaf. we too grown to be caring bout what these artists doing in their lives. like obviously it’s wrong, but like, we also don’t fully know what happened. people need to get jobs, touch grass, and start caring about things that actually matter.
that wasn't even the truth, that's just what it looks like outside of context. they both are already seperated before they started dating according to the sources themselves (the same sources that all these "scandal" literally came from) so no, she didn't cheat, she didn't "homewreck" a family because the family is broken already to begin with. but just like what Ash said, am i proud of this? NO, am i happy with this? NO because she could've rejected him knowing his history personally but she technically didn't do anything wrong if both parties are already parted. so the hate is so forced
i feel like you would love ethel cain’s album preacher’s daughter, i think the story telling and conceptual arc throughout it would really be up ur allly!! its so good!
I vote yes for a video on Ticketmaster. It would be so interesting to hear about it on the other side of the pond. Especially since you guys do have seatgeek and us over here in the UK only have ticketmaster. So it's their prices or no show for us 😫
Regarding the era thing, it's one thing I appreciate about Carly Rae because if you need more of that era, she comes out with a Side B of that album a year after it's release!
Maybe making multiple small artist round ups (under 5-10mil streams) would help make it less overwhelming, honestly I like your opinions on music in general so even breakdowns of albums you've already listened to and your thoughts on them/your general music recommendations would be neat
I think when it comes to separating the music from the artist. The fairest way is based on whether they put themselves into the music/story. For example, when Taylor Swift wrote folklore and did the love triangle. It was pure story and for the music. But when Taytay wrote All Too Well, it's hard to separate the music from the artists because it was about her previous relationship with Jake G. So it really about how much the artist puts themselves into the narrative of the music.
Mam I know the music releases have been dry but where is the long lost Little Mix video?? Between Us is right there, lets rank their discography(we won’t fight you i promise sorta). Lets talk about them being a trio, them being mothers (in every sense), first gg to win best group at the brits, leigh annes solo music AND book. Lettuce get into it
Honestly, summed up my thoughts on Ari to a t! People are just so bored and wanna vilify that girl. *IF* all that’s being reported is true, it’s still not really any of our business for one and also it takes two to tango. At least Ariana isn’t the one abandoning a practically newborn. Women get so much more scrutiny. Imagine being so enraged over Ariana’s love life when Chris Brown still has a career and that other dude is fathering two dozen children between one dozen women making it impossible for any of them to actually have a father/partner respectively.
like fr, did she do anything that bad? no. like you dont care about the wife and everyone already moved on from that, you just wanted the drama and part of the hate train because you're bored and have nothing better to do
her love life includes being a homewrecker. she’s definitely not as bad as nick canon but y’all just defend her cause y’all love her. you can see who was raised by homewrecking whores and you’re one of them

I still have been waiting for more music reactors to stream and actually listen to more country music. Like my favorite artist and project this year so far has been Kelsea Ballerini's 'Rolling Up The Welcome Mat' and 'Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good). This project being released on Valentine's Day with a matching short film, has been easily a highlight of this year. I just want for more reactors to actually give quality country/country pop music a thorough, unbiased opinion.
Yes I whole heartedly agree, I think this EP is unbelievable and just really shows Kelsea’s potential and experimentation with the genre and I hate that country radio and country awards shows aren’t giving her enough recognition because she molds the genre and takes different inspirations ranging from pop, alternative, indie, r&b to make her songs and doesn’t stick to the classic roots of country music
@@lunarodrigues214 it really frustrates me because Kelsea has been making really good music for about 9 years. my personal favorite song off of the EP is Penthouse (Healed Version). just give her music a chance!

Great video! When talking about separating the art from the artist, I'm in a similar boat, where I'd be lying if I claimed either side. The way I've remedied this is by not financially supporting the shitty ones, but still finding ways to listen to their music, such as burning their albums onto CDs
You NEED to listen to Lyn Lapid album!! It sounds sooo goood. It basically tells a story throughout the songs. ITS JUST TO GOOD. I know your probably won’t see this but this album is too good to not get listened to
just llistened bc of this comment and i thought that it was good! buut the intro was too good like it was so good that like the actual songs couldn't top it for me
@@allurajane4979 I love the intro, but not as much as the other songs. I love the album because it tells you story about a relationship, and the artist actually made a short film depicting a story around the songs. My personal fav song is cross your mind
for the seperating the art from the artist, i feel like it was easier before when the artist wasn't as much of a brand as they are now. you used to know so much less about their lives than you do now and because of the internet and social media, you are now aware of thier personal lives and beliefs. also, there is the aspect of you buying their tickets/merch and streaming their music which supports their lifestyle and gives them a higher platform and therefore influence over their audience. for example, one who hears about an artist with problematic views and beliefs could judge those beliefs to be less drastic then they are because said artist is famous and it therefore can't be that bad. it could understate the severity of the issue. an example for this, would be Kanye who very publicly stated his (extremely problematic and dangerous) beliefs and has the platform to influence young people, who might not know better and be less educated, could see him having a big platform those beliefs not affecting him in any way or recieving repercussions apart from most of the general public viewing him in a negetive light. With the only repercussions he has seemed to face is with Adidas and maybe Germany in the future if he said the things he's saying in Germany which hasn't happened yet.
Ash, not to be that kind of person, but please reconsider letting your kitty wear a bell. The constant jiggling sound can become very stressful for them. ❤❤❤

19:47 noooo carti has actually a very unique voice and he’s known for experimenting with it drastically on each album…plus he birthed an entire sound with the whole lotta red album
A Ticketmaster deep dive would be craaazzyy bc I pay more for K-pop concerts than I did to see Beyoncé (it was like $70 and we were just behind club renaissance in the middle) so that should be like a 2 part special or something
Ash, are you hyped for 1989TV! I also wanna know ur thoughts on the album. I love 1989! Like that album is so good! But is there a song or 2 where I’m like “ ok, I see you but u just don’t hit for me”? Ofcorse
I don't know if this opinion is popular or not but mine is that promoters should give more time before selling tickets because an artist's concert could still be 6-7 months away but I only have 2 weeks to prepare before the tickets go on sale, lucky if there are still tickets available after but most of the time they sold out in the few hours💔
5:15 same! Women are the best☺ 5:42 I can't listen to the Weekend anymore either. We need to give celebrities there privacy and let them live their lives 16:40 the sound😂
2:03 I agree with this one. Mostly because it sometimes seems as though the "reinvention" feels a bit calculated. Don't get me wrong. I know if you're putting out a project that's very different from the previous one, you'll have to plan for the release and packaging and whatnot differently. But I just feel like sometimes artists do a drastic change, not naturally, but because they think they have to. However, said change doesn't have to be so jarring. Plenty of artists create music that changes subtly over their career, but only because they, themselves, are slowly but surely growing and changing. By the way, Ash, if by some miracle I can get back to working on my album, maybe I'll hire you to do something for it. Of course, that would also require a financial miracle, so . . . 🙏! Okay, I'm done. Apologies for the long comment. 😊

But then you listen to her live album and it feels like putting on a Janet, Michael, Tina, Beyoncé live performance DVD and getting those chills like I did back then
Not that another musicians aren’t great at what they do but I haven’t heard craftsmanship in a live performance by a debuting artist like that in a while😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🫧
pretty sure doja’s scandals aren’t just how she spoke to her fans but also her supporting a nazi and dating a predator
I only got mad when she killed that person and even then I had no right to be mad cause I don't know her or that person she killed🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃

MOTHER HAS ARRIVED❤❤❤
Little Mix is the best and yet the most underrated phenomenon that ever happened in the history of pop culture
@ 6:40 i would def have to agree and in addition to that i feel like artist development has changed drastically from the 2000s and even the 2010s. many people coming up now in the music industry seem like they want that quick viral tiktok hit and less on the development of their artistry. too much is put on streaming rather than the actual talent and how good a song or album really is
Speak it mother.
not ashley calling us out for our reading comprehension (or lack of it💀)
Although i don't think Harry should've won over Bey and i agree I feel like he didn't read the room, anytime ppl get into discussion over his sexuality (which he has already said he doesn't label) based off of the weird clothes, i kinda have to roll my eyes.
It's such a waste of oxygen as s conversation topic, honestly.
it's crazy how Chappell Roan is now putting up boundaries in a way much kinder to fans than Doja Cat, but she's gotten more hate for it
The music industry being about money making and not about the music has always been true. There has never once been a time when the music industry has cared about the music lol. Music & musicians are completely separate to the music industry themselves even though you can't really have one without the other.
miley cyrus is an artist where pretty much all of her albums work with different genres and she pulls it off so well but i just wish she wouldve stuck with rock a little bit longer before endless summer vacation
wholeheartedly agree. she sings rock and grunge so well
When you mentioned being interested in planning eras for artists I immediately thought of jazmine zade's series! You two would make an amazing collab.
Also, on Troye's new music it's sooo good. I love the sound and the visuals have been immaculate
THANK YOU FOR GIVING ANGEL THE RESPECT IT DESERVESSS!!!! BEST SONG ON THE BARBIE SOUNDTRACK PERIOD!
Love that song!
your videos have been carrying me through this seasonal depression so thank you for that ashley ily
the thing that really irritates me about the doja cat situation is she's using this whole 'parasocial relationships' conversation as a way to hide what people were originally critiquing her for. no one was talking about fans relationships with her, they were trying to call out the fact that her partner is a terrible person, and she used the 'i hate my fans' bs to sweep that under the rug. I 100% believe her management told her to run with that, to make that a bigger deal than her bf, so people would forget about the original conversation. and the fact that 90% of the people that I've seen talk about her recently don't even acknowledge the fact that it started with her bf kinda proves it ngl.
with ariana’s scandal, i completely agree. like girl idgaf. we too grown to be caring bout what these artists doing in their lives. like obviously it’s wrong, but like, we also don’t fully know what happened. people need to get jobs, touch grass, and start caring about things that actually matter.
hi i haven’t been keeping up with anything. could u tell me what happened w ariana?
@@gillian6918she had an affair with a married man who recently just had a baby
that wasn't even the truth, that's just what it looks like outside of context. they both are already seperated before they started dating according to the sources themselves (the same sources that all these "scandal" literally came from) so no, she didn't cheat, she didn't "homewreck" a family because the family is broken already to begin with. but just like what Ash said, am i proud of this? NO, am i happy with this? NO because she could've rejected him knowing his history personally but she technically didn't do anything wrong if both parties are already parted. so the hate is so forced
i feel like you would love ethel cain’s album preacher’s daughter, i think the story telling and conceptual arc throughout it would really be up ur allly!! its so good!
I vote yes for a video on Ticketmaster. It would be so interesting to hear about it on the other side of the pond. Especially since you guys do have seatgeek and us over here in the UK only have ticketmaster. So it's their prices or no show for us 😫
Uk has AXS as well
Regarding the era thing, it's one thing I appreciate about Carly Rae because if you need more of that era, she comes out with a Side B of that album a year after it's release!
If there's one thing anyone should know is that a video with Ashley is NEVER boring, I loved it! ❤
nah i think charisma can definitely be learned. but star quality is something that you either got or you don’t.
omggg!! I’ve been waiting for this! thank you for the content queen you never flop ❤

Lettuce get into it
Side note: Your makeup looks absolutely stunning in this video!
SPILL !!!!
This 👏👏
like fr, did she do anything that bad? no. like you dont care about the wife and everyone already moved on from that, you just wanted the drama and part of the hate train because you're bored and have nothing better to do
@@drunk_taylorhonestly yea. It's a little cynical but I bet most people have already forgotten the wife's name at this point. 😵
her love life includes being a homewrecker. she’s definitely not as bad as nick canon but y’all just defend her cause y’all love her. you can see who was raised by homewrecking whores and you’re one of them
3:58 I agree with that comment personally I think the old Red album after listening to both of the whole albums for the first time, The og’s are better
The way my jaw DROPPED when that person said Kehlani is not a good singer like…are your ears good?
I still have been waiting for more music reactors to stream and actually listen to more country music. Like my favorite artist and project this year so far has been Kelsea Ballerini's 'Rolling Up The Welcome Mat' and 'Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good). This project being released on Valentine's Day with a matching short film, has been easily a highlight of this year. I just want for more reactors to actually give quality country/country pop music a thorough, unbiased opinion.
Rolling Up The Welcome Mat is a great album
Yes I whole heartedly agree, I think this EP is unbelievable and just really shows Kelsea’s potential and experimentation with the genre and I hate that country radio and country awards shows aren’t giving her enough recognition because she molds the genre and takes different inspirations ranging from pop, alternative, indie, r&b to make her songs and doesn’t stick to the classic roots of country music
@@lunarodrigues214 it really frustrates me because Kelsea has been making really good music for about 9 years. my personal favorite song off of the EP is Penthouse (Healed Version). just give her music a chance!
i hate that doja cat turned her whole scandal thing into being about parasocial relationships when originally people were angry at her for dating a groomer and then blocking his victims on twitter when they brought it to her attention (and they were fans of her too!!)
04:47 i feel this. After watching alot of shows and reading alot of books, comics and etc. i just get very used to typical storytelling and i can see all the tropes coming from a thousand miles away and it can take alot for me to really like a story
12:02 What are you saying we’re not getting new music?! This year has been fillleddd with releases on my personal radar!
Rebecca Black, Kim Petras x2, Kylie, Bad Bunny, Slayyyter, Caroline Polachek, Madison Beer, Troye Sivan, RAYE, Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Kesha, Jessie Ware, Dorian Electra, hell I even bop to the Addison Rae EP tbh.

I don’t think there was a single unpopular opinion in this entire video but I support most of u
i also wanna share my tiny music opinion and it’s that no other 16 year old could make a debut album like lorde did with pure heroine, that album is unmatchable
To say no other is quite bold. Brandy releases her debut self-titled album at the age of 15 and that is a remarkable body of work.

Great video! When talking about separating the art from the artist, I'm in a similar boat, where I'd be lying if I claimed either side. The way I've remedied this is by not financially supporting the shitty ones, but still finding ways to listen to their music, such as burning their albums onto CDs
so your telling me that that person prefers the og fearless cover? sorry the photo shop on that is horrendous and the change is so fantastic
You NEED to listen to Lyn Lapid album!! It sounds sooo goood. It basically tells a story throughout the songs. ITS JUST TO GOOD. I know your probably won’t see this but this album is too good to not get listened to
yeasssssss
just llistened bc of this comment and i thought that it was good! buut the intro was too good like it was so good that like the actual songs couldn't top it for me
@@allurajane4979 I love the intro, but not as much as the other songs. I love the album because it tells you story about a relationship, and the artist actually made a short film depicting a story around the songs. My personal fav song is cross your mind
@ville__ what do you mean?
$380 is literally what i spent on 1 ticket for bey's tour and it was upper bowl. it was also metlife which is very high demand but still!
OMGG you need to cover LAUFEY she is so goood!!
for the seperating the art from the artist, i feel like it was easier before when the artist wasn't as much of a brand as they are now. you used to know so much less about their lives than you do now and because of the internet and social media, you are now aware of thier personal lives and beliefs.
also, there is the aspect of you buying their tickets/merch and streaming their music which supports their lifestyle and gives them a higher platform and therefore influence over their audience. for example, one who hears about an artist with problematic views and beliefs could judge those beliefs to be less drastic then they are because said artist is famous and it therefore can't be that bad. it could understate the severity of the issue.
an example for this, would be Kanye who very publicly stated his (extremely problematic and dangerous) beliefs and has the platform to influence young people, who might not know better and be less educated, could see him having a big platform those beliefs not affecting him in any way or recieving repercussions apart from most of the general public viewing him in a negetive light.
❤❤❤
I'm a veterinary and i highly agree with you, if she's letting the necklace, remove the bell 🤷🏻♀️

A Ticketmaster deep dive would be craaazzyy bc I pay more for K-pop concerts than I did to see Beyoncé (it was like $70 and we were just behind club renaissance in the middle) so that should be like a 2 part special or something

honestly if you ever get to be creative director for a project i’d be the most excited

13:47 100000% agree! just leave them alone and give them privacy
