This video's pretty long because the mission has a large number of checkpoints for the player to go through, rather than one seamless stealth playground. The mission can be solved almost completely through Routing alone.The only time any real patience is needed, is when I'm Stealing the key from the guard talking about rats. I just have to wait for his conversation with the other guard to finish and for him to put his back to me. At the start, I have to Knock Out one guard (the Whistle tutorial) because the game won't let me advance unless I do. Later, when two guards are interrogating an informant, those have to be neutralized as well. I tried talking to the informant before they were dealt with, inside the Smoke field, and the game doesn't give the option. Instead, the cutscene automatically triggers once both guards are neutralized. The fourth and final mandatory KO is when I'm moving through the side-rooms into the Laboratory. The two guards standing in the tight passageway will both react if I walk into one of them with my body hard enough to move them out of the way. In this video, the guard on the left walks backwards out of the way, but this is not reliable and he will not always do it with the same timing. It is possible, though, to just slip past them if he does. Finally, during the Assassination itself, fans who played Unity will notice that it is no longer necessary to Kill Targets using the Hidden Blade only - you can now Kill them with any weapon that drains their HP to 0.

I love non-lethal stealth so much There's something to be said about the power fantasy of being right behind your enemy and them never knowing you are there Your metaphorical blade at their throat but having the restraint to contain yourself knowing that literally everyone you encountered could be dead on a whim Such as 7:20 And they would have never even known it either

That's awesome! I hope you enjoy the games, they can be so much more interesting if you just play in a very aggressive, item-heavy way, or try to ghost areas, but they're not really made for that. I just make it work because I'm an insane person.

Pretty much exactly the same, yes. Hold [Drop]/[Empty Hand]/[Interact]/[Loot] on a Guard instead of using [Assassinate] and you will choke him out. Syndicate adds two little things: 1) You can get an Upgrade that speeds up how fast you Choke-Out works. You get this as a "Perk" which is an upgrade that is applied permanently and automatically, as soon as you reach a certain requirement. For the Fast-Choke Perk, the requirement is to Stealth Kill/Assassinate a bunch of enemies over the course of your playthrough. 2) You can Kidnap people in Syndicate, which basically puts both you and your Hostage in a state of permanent Blend. No one can see you even if you walk in front of them, as long as you don't let any enemies walk inside of the Blend Circle at your feet. This is super useful for moving people around without killing them. You can then stuff them inside a carriage and they'll never leave it, so I consider that a Non-Lethal neutralization.

99% sure it is, I just happened to record this with my finished game save since I didn't want to just delete it but I don't think I do anything here that can't be done on No Upgrades. None of the improvements to Evie are actually doing something to help me here, except for maybe having some extra Smoke which can probably be looted with a bit of luck.
I should pick up Lost Legacy soon for that nice Stealth gameplay :P I've also got lots of other Stealth gameplay on my channel, usually played with speed/flow, so do look at it to see if you like any. :P

This is actually how a assassin is suppose to be only killing who it needs to without getting spotted
