In one vid (forgot which), it said that RM was willing to make the concession of 40%-60% for Mbappe. PSG allows him to keep 100% of his image rights. Ultimately it's about the money. Still baffled Madrid are so obsessed with him. Yes, he's the best player in the world, but he's not a striker, he's a left-sided forward who can play centrally. They have a guy named Vinicius Jr. that likes to play in the same positions. It's never been a great fit. Madrid should have gone for Kane or Haaland, especially with Benzema leaving. If rumors are to be believed, in some ways Mbappe is the best thing that could have happened to PSG, because he wanted to get rid of players like Messi and Neymar who didn't care about the club or integrating, he wanted more French players to come in, less flashy names and better fit, and it's early right now but PSG is not as talented as they were last season, but they look a much better and more balanced team with depth. They don't have nearly 250m in wages tied to 3 players now (with one of those players being injured half the time) and trying to make do with the rest of the squad. They're on the right track with Enrique, and I like their squad. I don't think it's still good enough for the CL, but they're at least a valid contender with depth in the attacking position, but their midfield is still suspect, although Ugarte has been nothing short of sensational so far.

Now that the dust has settled with regards to this current transfer window. I think it’s clear that the original plan he had with Florentino was 2024. Any other outcome makes no sense whatsoever. If he was after money. Why not trigger the extra year at PSG? No other club besides Saudi will come close to matching his potential earnings including bonuses etc. by him sending an official legal letter to PSG stating his intention to no trigger the extra year is clear sign he’s going to Madrid. This way he maximizes the most money for himself. The compromise that was made between him and psg was to give up the bonuses for this season while recouping those exact figures when he gets the signing bonus from Madrid. If he renews with PSG he loses money and the signing bonus. It doesn’t add up. The only logical solution from a financial and sporting perspective is Madrid in 2024.

Still baffled Madrid are so obsessed with him. Yes, he's the best player in the world, but he's not a striker, he's a left-sided forward who can play centrally. They have a guy named Vinicius Jr. that likes to play in the same positions. It's never been a great fit. Madrid should have gone for Kane or Haaland, especially with Benzema leaving. If rumors are to be believed, in some ways Mbappe is the best thing that could have happened to PSG, because he wanted to get rid of players like Messi and Neymar who didn't care about the club or integrating, he wanted more French players to come in, less flashy names and better fit, and it's early right now but PSG is not as talented as they were last season, but they look a much better and more balanced team with depth. They don't have nearly 250m in wages tied to 3 players now (with one of those players being injured half the time) and trying to make do with the rest of the squad. They're on the right track with Enrique, and I like their squad. I don't think it's still good enough for the CL, but they're at least a valid contender with depth in the attacking position, but their midfield is still suspect, although Ugarte has been nothing short of sensational so far.

Now that the dust has settled with regards to this current transfer window. I think it’s clear that the original plan he had with Florentino was 2024. Any other outcome makes no sense whatsoever. If he was after money. Why not trigger the extra year at PSG? No other club besides Saudi will come close to matching his potential earnings including bonuses etc. by him sending an official legal letter to PSG stating his intention to no trigger the extra year is clear sign he’s going to Madrid. This way he maximizes the most money for himself. The compromise that was made between him and psg was to give up the bonuses for this season while recouping those exact figures when he gets the signing bonus from Madrid. If he renews with PSG he loses money and the signing bonus. It doesn’t add up. The only logical solution from a financial and sporting perspective is Madrid in 2024.
