1. Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, full of pity, love, and power. 2. Come, ye thirsty, come and welcome, God's free bounty glorify; true belief and true repentance, ev'ry grace that brings you nigh. 3. Let not conscience make you linger, nor of fitness fondly dream; all the fitness he requireth is to feel your need of him. 4. Come, ye weary, heavy laden, lost and ruined by the fall; if you tarry till you're better, you will never come at all. 5. I will rise and go to Jesus! He will save me from my sin. By the riches of his merit, there is joy and life in him.
This is wonderful! Thank you ladies for doing this. You girls are gifted and sound very nice. Keep your talents dedicated toward God. Just a beautiful and edifying rendition. 😊🎸🦅
Ladies we are going to sing this song in church and I have practiced it over and over with your video. Thank you, the Holy Spirit moved through you and stirred my heart.
Thank you ladies for the song, for the inspiration, and the faith I feel when I hear you sing. Please continue to post new material as there are those of us who treasure your music and the spirit it brings.
Beautiful job, ladies. For a few years the pianist at our church would play an arrangement of this music during the prelude. I had never heard of it before. When at a Bible Conference in Great Falls, MT, I went to a Lewis and Clark museum. There was a Ken Burns documentary in the theater of the museum. This tune was used as as background music. So, when I got back home I looked through the pianist's music to discover what the name of the song is. Of course, her piano music has no lyrics, and with a name like "Beach Spring" I wondered if it was actually a hymn at all. So, I looked it up on the internet and found your video among others. It is a beautiful tune and the lyrics "Come Ye Sinners," is one of my favorite hymns (though I know it to a different tune). At any rate, thank you for posting this. It was a blessing to me this morning - more than 5 years after you posted it!
very nice , truly a blessing to hear. I had never heard this song until today and with that I say that you have set the bar which all future renditions will be compared with

I am only copying a comment from two years ago by Marilee Alm. Thank you! Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, Weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, Full of pity, love and pow'r: He is able, He is able, He is willing, doubt no more. (Repeat sentence) Let not conscience make you linger, Nor of fitness fondly dream. All the fitness He requireth Is to feel your need of Him: This He gives you, This He gives you Tis the Spirit rising beam (Repeat sentence) Agonizing in the garden, Your Redeemer prostrate lies; On the bloody tree behold Him! Hear Him cry, before He dies, “It is finished!” “It is finished!” Sinner, will not this suffice? (Repeat sentence) Lo! The Incarnate God, ascended; Pleads the merit of His blood. Venture on Him; venture wholly, Let no other trust intrude. None but Jesus, none but Jesus Can do helpless sinners good. (Repeat sentence)
I'm looking for some type of sheet music to help a violinist find the melody for this version. I assume you are playing this in D. Do you have any references that may help her? Thanks, SS
The tune is "Beach Spring" and was first published as a setting for this hymn in The Sacred Harp, 1844, composed by Benjamin F. White (1800-1879), and named after the Beach Springs Baptist Church. A tune that is commonly used for this hymn is "Arise"/"Restoration", using a refrain that was subsequently added and was not part of Joseph Hart's original hymn. Beach Spring is a fine American tune, well matched to the words of this hymn, and should not be regarded as wrong.
There are several traditional tunes used for this hymn, and many modern tunes. The original tune used is a mystery, as the song was published without musical notation. By that measure, whatever tune you think is right is "wrong".
So cool, girls! Ladies, now, 7 years later. Up worshipping early, you came up. Thx. Be blessed.
A smart young man should marry one, and listen to the voice of an angel all his life!

+Steven Salter My copy of this music says the tune is "Beach Spring." Hope that helps!
Thanks. And yes, it is beach spring indeed.
Would www.hymnary.org/media/fetch/111237 help? It's for piano but maybe she can figure it out from there..

This is the wrong tune, but it still sounds good
