Just remembered why this anime rubbed me the wrong way. I like the message of self improvement but i hated how he's forced to make friends and be in relationships. In the beginning i was okay with it because he needed it but later on the more we learn about hinomy. Her philosophy is very flawed, it sounded like she's saying personal wants are irrelevant or non-essential to what a person needs. The mc proves to her that just being himself is better than trying to be what others wants. I hated that the mc likes hinomy because i find her personality very unlikable.... is she just being fake in order to successfully make it through life without fulfillment of her personal enjoyments.... like thats not right.
Yeah, eventually she's gonna regret it(speaking from experience T-T). But the way u said her personality is unlikeable hurt me dude, it like someone said my personality is unlikeable😢
Aoi's outlook is like "the end justifies the means". We never get a glimpse on what her motivation is. She is impenetrable. She toys with Tomozaki as a game but knowing he could take on the challenge. We all thought Tomozaki could break her down this season as he grows himself. But we find he wasn't ready to take her on. At least he is building up friendships and getting comfortable with life. Sure, he is challenged to be in the situations but he isn't in a situation he didn't agree with ultimately.
