In my childhood, my main admiration was for the Christmas tree, not gifts. I adored to enjoy the flickering of lametta, Christmas tree balls and garlands in the darkness of the night.

The toy clock you see the toddler grabbing was a popular nursery gift that came out in 1940, was probably a gift for the newborn. The bases were blue for boys, the clock sides were pink for girls, as I recall.

I wonder if the kids are still alive, they are super old now if they are.

Must of had money. Nice quality film camera. WWII and the dads are home? 🤔 My dad was on a warship in the Pacific until the Japanese surrendered. Kid in snow suit looked like me😛🤣

Could have been after the war. It just says 40s. But, yes, very wealthy family

One child in the film was 6 weeks old. He could have been a baby boomer conceived shortly after the end of the war.

I think I’ll locate the original film and look for an edge code. That should narrow down the date. Appreciate the comments.

See description for additional info about date

So I've done a little more research. Since there's no date code on the film itself, I decided to research the mother's hairstyle. It looks like the "Victory Roll" style which would have been popular around 1945 and later.

@@99baggett Thank You For Your Clarification~
Watching it again I still would put it later just based on what I am seeing ~ Perhaps it was late 40's ~Either Way It Is A Lovely Piece of Film ~

no wonder all the grandparents want to go back to a ''simpler time'' no wrapping, simple gifts of wooden toys and books and dolls, easy to buy when that's all there was, not like the variety of children's needs today. PSappleBOXx5/13 okay, here's connect 4 go play
