Esp Hank, after so many top guitarists have acknowledged that he was their inspiration to learn the guitar.
Great memories cliff and the shadows I’m now 72 but still remember them all and the fantastic years of pure professionalism Thing is I can remember the words to cliff songs and every note the shadows play. Great musicians in their own right. Best group in my opinion the world has seen. Clean living respectful guys long may they enjoy their time in the future. Keep safe to you all.

When I was 17, growing up in South Africa, I played lead guitar in a band that played most of the Shadows tunes that had been released at the time (1962-63). I got to see Cliff and the Shadows when they came to SA - a highlight of my youth. I only wish I could have played half as well as Hank! This music is in my blood! I love it!
Summer Holiday is a very memorable song for me, its the first time I heard Sir Cliff Richard over the radio, since then I often like to hear his beautuful alluring voice.
