I am a level 65 noob and this was the hardest quest so far. I really enjoyed it. My high level hunter carried me through the bosses, but I advise people to come here at least 70+ with good cooking/fishing/hunting levels. I can't wait to go back and kill those moons again!!! Such awesome content.
For the Eclipse Moon shield special I've found the easiest thing is to mark the 4 corner tiles in a square 1 tile wider than the shield, keep run on, and move as soon as the shield starts moving. It's perfect every time and easy. I find spec energy is best spent with DDS on Blood Moon to avoid healing.
@@jxntxn1462 Nope it works perfect everytime. Note it’s not the tile touching the outside of the moon, one wider. Also use highlight true tile for the moon.
Colossal blade is a fun and powerful weapon to pull out during the Eclipse Moon clone phase. Good thing you've got a Giants' Foundry guide already out!
Best guide on the moons of peril! I now understand why the blood moon heals so much. I might need to switch out my dragon defender for a dragonfire shield when fighting him
It's frustrating that this content is seemingly easy for everyone else, but I can't get blood moon lower than 25% before his rng shoots straight up to space and heals him back to half. I haven't even finished the quest yet lmao
late to the game of moons of peril. everytime i search a guide i end up using yours over everyone elses as its not too long but its got just the right stuff in it. keep it up
Thank you 😊 Some viewers think the gear part isn't necessary since they already know what gear to wear, but I'd rather have too much info in a guide than not enough.
you forgot a blue moon strat. when the tornadoes come up you want to put run off and control click the braziers. so even if you get hit you only lose 1 tick of running and is just less tedious.
@parallax8896 D scim and Cudgel each have a better attack bonus than Hasta (in their respective styles), but that only affects Accuracy They have a lower Strength Bonus than the Zammy Hasta, which gives it a higher max hit, so the Hasta ends up with better DPS generally This video about the DPS calc might interest you - th-cam.com/video/tduV7gw01-U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Xd270wKHqx8CJ_uU
I have a question, if you bring multiple weapons do you have to punch or kick the frozen pillars to get your weapon back why not just equip a different weapon?
When you try to equip a different weapon in that phase, there will be a message in the chat saying that your hands are too cold to wield one or something along those lines. Only option is to break the pillar with the sigil to free your weapon.
Isn’t the Dharok method also viable ? The Dharok axe shreds thru the eclipse moon and the blue moon , it’s a bit more problematic with the blood moon but , I just switch to a whip and a defender and spec it with a crystal halberd.
Wouldn't the dual macuahuitl beat out the abyssal dagger as a stab weapon? Im about to do my first kill and am thinking about just bringing the Dual Ms and an Abyssal Tentacle.
If I don't have any of those stab weapons (as a low level ironman) would you say keris partisan is ok? Or am i better off just using whip or zombie axe on eclipse moon?
The Dual Macuahuitl isn't bad for stab, but specifically for the Eclipse Moon, it loses some DPS because of the Flat Armour. Eclipse Moon's Flat armour reduces each of the 2 hits from the Macuahuitl, so many other "weaker" stab weapons will still out perform it
@@TheEdB0ys Ohhh makes sense. I thought all 3 of them had negative defence. I see I see. The wiki says +6 for stab, -5 for crush and -2 for slash. Cool cool cool.
The Guthan's Warspear is a little bit better DPS, but that's not including the Dragon Dagger spec. You can always switch to the Dagger for just the spec, then back to the spear. Overall they're pretty close though. Sorry for the super late reply
The Ghrazi Rapier on Slash is almost the exact same DPS as the Abyssal Tentacle. This can slightly depend on stats and gear, but I used a mid to high level setup in the DPS Calc to test it. Abyssal Whip has a little higher Slash bonus than the Ghrazi Rapier, but the Ghrazi has a higher str bonus, and it's accurate enough against the Blood Moon so the Ghrazi ends up at better DPS. Plus the Rapier has a stab option
Death pile outside food if you're doing the quest. If you passed the quest already, it's pretty hard. Blood Moon is almost impossible. Eclipse and blue moon are pretty doable though and you can open the chest without killing blood. Use a ring of suffering. It's pretty much bis for pures here. The recoil effect is insanely good. Thralls are also pretty good here

I have problems believing the "powerful" part. But can imagine it being fun. Will try it next time as a "spec" weapon for the clone phase.
Best osrs guide I've watched in a very long time

Very through and well structured video. Good on ya
I’ve learned so much from your pvm vids, really the best guides for this type of content 🙏 especially with the 1 hour example vids
I'm glad the guides have been helpful :) I just got the 1 Hour of Moons uploaded today as well!
By far the best Moons tutorial
Thank you ☺It's good to hear that the guide is actually helpful lol
Good video. I got crushed when this first came out and decided to try again. Very simple with your guide!
Best of luck on the Moons gains!
Big ups dude, this guide helped a ton!

Bought the Zammy Hasta after watching this, and dang, what a difference. Thanks, bro!
Hell yeah! Good luck on the drops!
Nice guide. Have done Moons a few times but never thought about prioritizing Defence or the Zammy Hasta. Will try those next time, thx.
Good luck to you!
Great Guide as usual

Good guide, but what's a Djag-wire?
Just wondering, why is the hasta better than cudgel and like d scim for crush and slash if its bonuses are lower

If I don't have any of those stab weapons (as a low level ironman) would you say keris partisan is ok? Or am i better off just using whip or zombie axe on eclipse moon?
Look like Whip would be best. A quick check on the Wiki DPS calc said Whip > Zombie Axe (slash) > Keris Partisan against the Eclipse moon
To avoid dupes would it be worth to only kill one moon god and loot chest if we have the other 2 sets completed?
Yes, just killing the moon you need items from is that fastest way for collecting the items you don't have
Why is the dual macuahuitl good for crush but not for stab? The bonus is similar yet the wiki also doesn't consider it an option for stab...
