vs. Something came from nothing, the universe created itself, its all one miraculous accident after another... there are no moral norms and the only truth is that there is no truth and you hate God because he allows humans to exercise their free will and do bad things (even though there is no good/bad). Riiiiiiiight...
1. Go to confession immediately. 2. Register in a class for confirmation.
Don't delay getting the Sacraments. They are intrinsically tied to your relationship with God. Jesus came to give us these gifts, supernatural helps from God, which unite us to Him in a way that no man could do without His intervention.
You are not alone. Jesus gave you a Church... and that Church will nourish you with the Sacraments despite the weakness of its members. God bless you!
Finally, a sane catholic , i have been searching for this breed of Catholics. Growing up in a school of creationist is taking its toll on me.So many young Earth creationist.

When people are spiritual blind, all they can see is darkness and lies.
I pray to God to help these people, and if they pray with their hearts they shall find him.
Pray: God if you are real show me you are real. God please give me the Grace of Faith.

What advice would you give to someone trying to go deeper into their Catholic faith after spending their childhood and teenage years not participating in the church? It feels very intimidating to start this process now as an adult especially since I will be starting college in the fall.

I received my first holy communion at age 8 what do you think my next step should be? Am I qualified to attend confession at this point? Should I immediately enter a confirmation course or wait to develop my relationship with God and/or the parish? I will be moving to a big city away from all my family...How should I approach this journey on my own?
