@@Rubymation Have you heard of the entire concept of acquired tastes? (Although I'm unsure if bacon is an acquired taste but I'm pretty sure that's what they're implying)
Fun fact, the cells on your tongue responsible for taste are completely replaced as fter roughly 10 days, and if you haven't had meat in that time, then you'll start losing a taste for meat, and start to think less of it.
If that is happening it's likely because the person in question is not getting enough Zinc in their diet, which is found in large quantities in some common meats and seafoods. Zinc intake effects the sensitivity of your taste buds, if you aren't getting enough of it your tastes will just change.
No way, dawg. Baking bacon is the best way. Not only is it more efficient and less time-consuming, bacon gets nice and marinated in its grease w no risk of scorching, AND you don't get your whole house permeated with bacon grease and smoke. It also gives you a more consistent cook amongst all the slices that you can't get from a frying pan on a stove coil/top.
Yes you can TF? If you're baking your bacon then You've failed, I don't know anybody who bakes bacon, and bacon doesn't permeate your house or clothes, you're either doing something wrong on the pan or something else is wrong with you. @@dangerxbadger2300

Onion soup
* 4 tbsps butter
* 1 tsp salt
* 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
* 2 large sweet onions, thinly sliced
* 1 (48 fluid oz.) can chicken broth
* 1 (14 oz.) can beef broth
* 1/2 C. red wine
* 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
* 2 sprigs fresh parsley
* 1 sprig fresh thyme leaves
* 1 bay leaf
* 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
* salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
* 4 thick slices French or Italian bread
* 8 slices Gruyere or Swiss cheese slices, room temperature
* 1/2 C. shredded Asiago
* 4 pinches paprika
Directions
* Get some twine and tie together the following: bay leaf, thyme, and parsley.
* Top your red and sweet onions with salt and then fry them in butter for 37 mins. Try to stir the contents every 3 mins to avoid any burning.
* Add in: Worcestershire, beef and chicken broth, and red wine. Drop the tied spices in as well.
* Let this gently boil for 22 mins, with a low heat, and stir the mix at least 3 times. Take out the spices and add in some pepper, salt, and vinegar.
* Place a lid on the pot and let the contents continue to stay warm with a very low level of heat.
* Turn on the broiler and toast your bread under it for 2 mins then flip the pieces and toast for 2 more mins. Grab 4 bowls and add an equal amount of soup to each.
* Then add a piece of bread to each as well.
* Add a topping of 2 pieces of gruyere and an equal amount of asiago to the pieces of bread and some paprika.
* Cook the bowls under the broiler for 6 mins.
* Enjoy.

Bacon is mid
@@SenyaiGrubs I agree
@@SenyaiGrubs look at the newer comments if you eat it enough you will see how good it is just like other foods bacon is so good if you eat it for a while you will see
@@christinavickers4390 bruh if someone doesnt like it the first time they aint gonna like it the next few rounds of eating it
@@Rubymation Have you heard of the entire concept of acquired tastes?
(Although I'm unsure if bacon is an acquired taste but I'm pretty sure that's what they're implying)
Gotta love Senyai’s honesty (I’m Muslim so no v bacon)
Nobody asked.
@@asiburgeractually I did ask
Try turkey bacon it’s like bacon but healthier for you and made from turkey not pork
@@somebody1824 turkey bacon or beef bacon, both very good. Just in time for Ramadan as well, sounding good for an iftar one day
@nanashi7779 I wish I could find beef bacon without ordering it online. I love pork bacon but I really want to try that.
"Rawdogging"😭
Think adding a little water in the pan would have helped with the bacon

How has this man juggling skills escaped me for so many months😮
Don’t sleep on me bro I be out here throwin stuff in the air and then catching it
20% bread 70% vegetables 10%meat😂
Fun fact, the cells on your tongue responsible for taste are completely replaced as fter roughly 10 days, and if you haven't had meat in that time, then you'll start losing a taste for meat, and start to think less of it.
Probably works the same for vegetables and sweets with that understanding
If that is happening it's likely because the person in question is not getting enough Zinc in their diet, which is found in large quantities in some common meats and seafoods. Zinc intake effects the sensitivity of your taste buds, if you aren't getting enough of it your tastes will just change.
Bacon is one of those things you have to cook properly, pan frying imo, and find good quality. Both significantly effect the taste.
And before anyone says anything, I was taught this by a chef who worked in a Michelin star awarded restaurant, so no one gets to come for me.
Yes you can TF? If you're baking your bacon then You've failed, I don't know anybody who bakes bacon, and bacon doesn't permeate your house or clothes, you're either doing something wrong on the pan or something else is wrong with you. @@dangerxbadger2300

Same. My taste buds have decided that bacon's flavor profile is "salty earwax."
@@hithere911I’m worried that you have tasted salted earwax now
@@kingv1nce263 I ate earwax once as a child. And still vividly remember what it tastes like. Needless to say, it did *not* taste good.

I agree, meat is overrated. I went through a similar journey of trying all the stuff the meat eaters I know like. The majority of it is lost on me. Only chicken holds up. Beef is mid. Bacon is fine, but doesn't really beat crispy shiitake.
