Brandon Yeah man, it’s super fun bc you are relatively mobile during aoe. I used the arcane aoe traits i showed in my last video. I was considering going over what i used, but i didn’t want people to think this was some expert video on vision speed runs haha. I just wanted to show something I was doing for fun and see if anyone does similar stuff :)
I have also seen people use the food that lowers your threat to move by mobs so you can save your invisibility and invis potions. There is definitely a strat that involves skipping as many mobs as possible to max speed run this.
Awesome video. I would just say all my 5 mask runs on casters are easier with Purification Protocol major. It has a shorter cooldown than meme beam and also it stuns all the mobs so reduces chances at stuns and CCs on you. Every now and then it does erase mobs and even minibosses (rare). Meme beam does do more damage I think but Purification Protocol offers more strats I think. This is my perspective using a warlock for 5 mask clears though. Haven't done any mage 5 mask clears yet because it is still a new alt for me. Also for a pure pure speed run, I'd just change specs if my major cooldowns are on cooldown. I run destro and if my cooldowns are down i can just change to affliction and nuke a boss with my cooldowns and switch back.
Semi Awesome! I will definitely have to try the purification protocol then. Having one more stop could make some of the pulls safer. I honestly haven’t even watched any speed runs of visions, I definitely have to do that before I try another set of them in like two weeks. And yeah I was mainly going as pure arcane just for fun but I will have to try the spec swapping thing if I try to go for pure time. Thanks for all the info man, it’s mad interesting how many strays can go into this stuff!!
JoseDanielR120 Yepp! The talents are the same ones in my past two arcane videos if you want to check them out. Then my major essence is Focussed Azerite Beam, however as some have mentioned in the comments already, it may be advantageous to run purification protocol instead. As for minors, you can run vision of perfection and whatever else you want really! For azerite armor traits, generally AOE ones are favored. I am running the same azerite as shown in my last Arcane video. It is like 3 arcane pressures, 1 echo, 1 equipoise, and 1 HoD.

Yeah I use PP also, its a nice 1 min CD, decent aoe damage and it stuns all abberitions which is huge. Great CC on big pulls
