Hey FTWD fans! This video will discuss some of the problems I saw with the first half of FTWD Season 4. I am a huge fan of both shows and other TWD stuff and thangs....not a huge fam of how the midseason panned out....watch the video for more!

I simply can't get past episode 10. This charlie girl character was not even supposed to exist since she killed nick and nobody shot or runned after, like they were not desperate and pissed. The remaining trio incredibly killed all of her gang, but apparently the writers wanted the girl to be something of a dramatic lesson about human nature. How pathetic. Poor writing and solutions indeed.
I always thought nick was the main character he was on the cover trailer and premiere plus the opening of the episode then I thought it was most likely him and Maddison since it was focused mainly on them then they killed them off killing 2 main characters
Well Madison was top billing and had more screen time than Nick
Losing Frank Dillane as Nick absolutely fucked this show. That man can act his ass off! He’s like a modern day young Johnny Depp. Seriously, Frank Dillane is the kind of actor who could pull off just about anything. He brings so much charisma and humanity to this imperfect but truly awesome character. I hate what they did to this show.
Fear The Walking Dead season 3 was the best season. And it was headed in the right direction. Like the whole concept of a family sticking together and surviving but now that they killed off members of a family it's just turning back into just another episode of The Walking Dead. The Mother was doing at all cost to keep her family together We had Nick had his own personal issues Alicia coming to her own as a strong survivor now all these elements are missing from the show which made it worth watching. I hope the writers dont The writers need to do some test screening or focus groups to make the seasons better.
erica thorn season 1 was good the only reason I wanted to watch was because it was the apocalypse starting and collapse of society too bad they made it go to fast season 3 was good also

My big question is what happened to covering themselves in zombie blood? They all could of just walked right by the horde...

The writing for s4 has been absolute garbage. I like the new characters though. They had an amazing S3 and followed it up by flushing it all down the toilet.
I’ve been trying to watch the last half of season 4 for a few months now and I just can’t. Every time I turn it back on it just gets too cringe and stupid. I think I’m officially giving up on it.
Even though I actually liked Madison, she was an idiot not to listen and take better action against what Mel and Naomi were telling her. After all she's been through, you would not think she'd be that damn naive. It really annoyed the fuck outta me.
Season 3 really was a good season. I wouldn't even watch FTWD until I watched season 3. Then I went back and binge-watched the first two seasons and got on board. Season 4 had a good start and then things have started getting dumb.
There is no way Nick and Alisha would have sat there and let those walkers surround them. The writers couldn't
come up with a better scenario than having them sit there and wait on their mom save them when all they had
to do was drive away. DUMB! I hope they did that to kill Madison off (which I don't agree with) and get back to
the writing we have been seeing.

@@TWDExplained I'm on this thread because I just got done with disc 2 with Madison going down at the stadium, and I'm not in a hurry to see disc 3, I've got time it goes back to the Library, this Season 4 so far sucks, I notice they always take down any tough strong man, Travis, and thenthey injure Morgan and the cowboy and make the women and wimpy guys like nick heroes, why didn't Madison run to the top bleachers, no escape plan out back or the sides, WTF, why cant they let nick and Madison get bit and let's see em walking around infected with walkers, but nooooo they go out heroes, I'm only hanging in because I like victor strand and his antics and you dont know when he's gonna save his Ass or your Ass, I only like Madison because shes still a sexy cougar to bang after some drinks, I never liked Alicia sinch the high school beginning with her nasty Attitude, now I gotta watch her be a badass hero, they clearly dont want strong man figures in this show unlike TWD with Rick Grimes.
The biggest thing I don't get so far is the motivation for the actions of the vultures. What do they get out expending all that time & resources to ruin communities/camps? What did they gain from destroying the baseball stadium the way that hey did? Less competition I suppose but surely there would be more efficient ways if that was their aim.
I know this is late but it was the brother who destroyed the stadium not the leader. The leader wanted them to peacefully give up their resources but it never happened. Although I think its really dumb because you spend so much time waiting for their resources that you lose all your own.
The characters are also really stupid. If rick was in that situation the vultures wouldnt last more than an episode.
I thought Madison was the main character. When she died I was like "Thats kinda stupid."
The Proctors had a good plan. It would be interesting to see how far they have come with their idea of controlling key infrastructure.
On real-world failed states, the real interesting thing is not the failure, it is who restores order and on what template. The interesting thing about Zombie shows is not the Zombies, it is how people adopt to that world.
This mad lad actually watched all of S4 and did a 15 min review.

I agree with you about the dumb writing and bad editing.
It would seem that they were determined to hit certain plot points and did not care how stupidly they got there. This is also the reason for the NOW and THEN. It was just because they had to have Morgan come in in the season premier and have Madison die in the midseason finale.
Just binge watched all 4 seasons. 1-3 loved it, as a TWD fan since the start, I found Fear different & refreshing. The setting up of the apocalypse was well done, the boat nearly started to turn into TWD on the farm, but then BANG, it went full on from there. Then season 4 came along. WTF was that boring abomination. Crazy thing is, I was looking forward to Morgan arriving, I didn't realise they'd kill the show & make it a 2nd rate version of TWD! Straight away this mess had Gimple's fingerprints all over it, washed out colours, Madison death, fighting other groups, then above all, Nick's death - the character that has had the best story arc, & that following Travis dying, was the only character I cared about. I understand the actor, Frank, wanted to leave but I heard this was due to the previous writer/showrunner being fired. If anything, the show has made me NOT like Morgan anymore, never thought I'd say that, as he totally dominated it, he didn't come in to join with the original family, he came in to be the new Rick Grimes. I can't say how disappointed I am at how this has turned into TWD 2.0, this is not the Fear of the excellent scenes at the Bull Ring or Nick drenched in blood walking with the dead to Tijuana. I actually skipped 5 shows as the constant "video recordings" were driving me mad. I then jump to the last 2 shows & there's a whole new random cast, Victor & Alesha hardly say anything & it's the Morgan show. This is not a dig at Lennie James, great guy, but maybe Morgan was so good as he was seen in small mysterious doses. RANT OVER.

Pretty much summed it up all I wanna say. Season 4 is an abomination Slow. Pointless story lines to make it longer (Naomi/Laura/June and John) And yest it didnt made me like Morgan anymore. Madison's death and Nicks death, Boring villains...(Martha...and the Vultures), so damn slow.....
Wow I was just doing some looking back and this was very well said. It is a huge disappointment with what happened after season 3, had so much potential especially with season 3 being the best season yet, imo

They killed the show when they killed Madison. There’s no one left to care about. They’d have to bring back Tobias and then merge Fear with TWD to catch my interest again.
Michelle, I'm not trying to be funny or argumentative, really.... but I see a 'Morales Syndrome' happening with the TOBIAS character. Why, story wise, would it be good to have him back? And how does a teenage kid get from LA to Austin, TX on his own? His parents were away on vacation weren't they? What am I missing? Honestly?
I loved season 1 and 2. 3 was when Nick went into the background and I didn't like it as much although I still thought it was great. I watch FTWD and TWD with no expectations. That's usually the cause of dissatisfaction: the gap between your expectations and reality.

I agreed with much of what you said. The last scene, *I liked the way she went out* but WHY DID THEY NOT KILL THOSE PEOPLE WHEN THEY STEPPED AROUND TO THE BACK OF THOSE TRUCKS!!!!! At that point they went from being a 'distraction' to an ACTIVE THREAT TO THE COMMUNITY'S SAFETY AND CONTINUANCE. Just the same stupidity that killed all of Ezekiel's regiment... why didn't they remain "Ducked and Covered" until they took the objective? Was there really NO VETERANS in that group to make sure they did the SMART thing?! Artistic License can be a bit much....

A couple of questions: 1) Do you think that it would have been way better if Nick had done what Madison did as he wanted to leave the show anyway. 2) My main issue with season 1 was that the could have explored the emotional aspect. What I mean is that they could have looked at how a main reason for 95% of people dying/turning is because they couldn't bring themselves to kill loved ones/friends...etc who had turned. It's like they became way too hardened to the situation far too quickly.
I think (HOPE) they will make references to what happened over the past few years. I also wish they hadn't killed off Troy in the last season. Another great video though!
I don't know. The producers decided to write out Madison while knowing Nick wanted to leave. They should have rethought Madison leaving....but...there was a tape labeled D.S. - could be Daniel Salazar and we would some of his back story but I do not think we will ever see Madison's or Nick's anymore.....
What I mean is if Nick had Madison's death and Madison still alive somewhere. I have enjoyed this season so far although, I think I said already, episode 7 was confusing.

I don't get why the knew what was coming and instead of opening fire the second they saw the trucks. So they couldn't jump out and open them up. They just stare at them and let them do it. Then they try to drive through them instead of staying behind reinforced walls.

@@TWDExplained So many of the character's actions were inexplicable. Over and over, the plot was driven by stupid mistakes. And what's up with these people who have been dealing with zombies forever constantly ending up on their backs with under a teeth-gnashing zombie.
So glad I wasn’t the only one that thought about this or when Jim threw himself onto the car to sound the car alarm off but there were cinderblocks in that very rooftop lol

I don't know what some of these actors are thinking. I would ride a role in a major TV show until the wheels fell off. Lauren Cohen's new show looks like garbage. ABC sucks. What if they quit and the only gig they can get is a chair at comicon? It's happened to most of the former WD cast members. People like Seth Gilliam are pretty solid though having done OZ, The Wire, etc. Same for Kim Dickens: Deadwood, Treme, House of Cards. But these first time no namers...a bird in the hand yada yada yada.
lol I don't agree with what Nick's actor did, he left to explore new leads and opportunities when tons of people loved his character on Fear. He's an amateur musician btw. But not too popular as a musician... he's really only known for his role as Nick. And I can't believe the dude left after 3 complete seasons to pursue music and new lead roles. I don't think Fear will ever get its star season now for what he did. He could have stayed on the show as an anti-hero and all the fans would be happy with him staying, but noooo, Frank Dillane had go do his own thing. If the showrunners of season 1 knew Frank would leave after 3 seasons, they would not have signed him up to be Nick's character. For sure.

I hated so many things about this it was such a let down, the plot line sucked nothing made sense and everyone was dumb, also I don’t like Charlie since her character makes no sense children are not robots and when we finally got rid of kid Carl we get another who cannot act, her deep voice is also very off putting.
Hey man, I agree with you Kim Dickens did not appear to have wanted to leave in her appearance on "Talking Dead" But if the showrunners are shaking things up don't have the new characters follow the same path. I'm not a fan of 'Darma' but willing to stick with the show! FTWD show was a good idea but more time should have been spent on an explaining the plague perhaps they could have gone back and focused more on Doctor Jenner from season 1 of TWD at the CDC they could have made Kim Dickens his wife who figured out the progression of the plague! It was cool that Kim announced a "Deadwood" movie but not if it's a feature or made for HBO.
Maybe we will get more of the early days of the outbreak from a spinoff. TWD and FTWD won't ever go there again. Sad. As far as I can tell....the Deadwood movie will be on HBO...not theaters....but no real word for sure - Thanks for watching!
I find it incredibly unrealistic that no one on either shows cares about how the outbreak started, why it started, how to find information about it and maybe answers to it. They all just accept it and move on. I feel like I would do a lot more traveling and exploring to find answers before I gave up and just tried to live in the world of zombies...
Chris Stanley - There is not a good explanation from the creator. Frank Darabont wanted to explore it but the producers and the comic creator do not. It seems they would see that it's their cash cow....it's what everyone really wants....when they are 3 to 4 years into it....it gets boring. My opinion of course, judging by comments and other things I have read through the years about what fans enjoy most about the genre.
Well said about Charlie quote how to people think like that. Unquote. The problem is people get reality mixed up with fantasy. It's just a TV show people. It's not like she actually shot Nick. If you want to get mad at somebody get mad at the writers. Anyway great video man love the explanations. I'd love to see more videos about stuff you think is dumb about season 4. I think that would be funny I'm not a big season 4 fan. Peace.

It's funny how the show kinda sucked by S2 so they started making plans to get rid of the showrunner and one main character wanted to leave and another they thought was bringing down the show so they axed her. But they actually had a good thing going by S3 but they already had the other plan in motion. They screwed up at the start(S1-2) - fixed it (S3) - then screwed it up again(S4). Like I stated in the video I think there was not a clear lead from the get go....by the time Madison became the lead in S3 it was starting to get to be ok..... then they kill the main lead in S4 right after setting her as such last season. Now we are lost and looking to see who the lead will be......or if they even have one. - Thanks for watching!
TheWalking DeadExplained i really liked the show up to the end of the last season. The whole thing with troy was amazing even killing of travis did not harm the show for me. Aldo i liked travis alot. Overall it was how i liked to see it. And i did not have very high expectations the first 2 seasons. the visuals where quite good in my opinion even as the building up sort a speak was not much to complain about.
I guess this is not about eh second hald of season 4. I was go bummed out with the poor writing of the antagonist for Morgan. He deserved a better adversary.

Okay everyone one hear we need to fucking do something. The show might still have a chance if it rebooted itself again and ditched s4 and s5 for a real continuation of s3. June 4th was the day s3 came out and it will be sad if on that day nothing in it mattered. We need to use our numbers and get more fans of the show to help us. Every week we are expected to like this churned out repetitious trash, well if they think they can get away with it then lets try and get them fired and get Erickson back on to tell the story he wanted to. Nick's actor not returning, then just make his death at the dam real before they decided to make a soap opera where he gets killed by a annoying little kid.
What
are our options you might say, well there are 3 I can think of right
now while typing this that combined could get this show BACK ON TRACK.
#1:
Get this trending on twitter with the combined audience of ftwd and twd
if possible. Tell people about Fear and specifically say to STOP at
s3's finale. Then we all put all our efforts into #BringBackErickson
#GoBackToTheDam #RetconFear #MakeFearGreatAgain. There are others that
we can do but those where just a few suggestions. Also talk about it on
twitter with people higher up and get opinions on what they think of the
show now. Celebrities or anyone with a large following that is similar
and would be interested. Just don't be obnoxious and spam all over the
place, that will just make us haters in AMC's eyes.
#2: Make
videos about how much we love this show, each of us making some content
at least to get the ball rolling could do numbers. As long as it's not
s4 and s5 and we make sure they know just how nonsensical the show has
become. Do a video on what you loved and now what you think went wrong. A
petition wasn't enough but we can still win. Just anything to get the
word out and I'm sure if we all do it it will amount to something.
#3:
Stop watching the later seasons if you want to see a return to s3. It's
fine if you like the seasons but for the majority we can't stand the
OBJECTIVELY BAD STORYTELLING, PACING, AND DIALOGUE. Just tell anyone
that is still watching it because of how stupid it is, and just find
amusement in the ridiculousness, to stop watching IF THEY WANT THE SHOW
TO BE GOOD AGAIN. We should not be forcing anyone as that will just make
us look bad.
These all combined could actually make Fear one of
the only shows to be resurrected by going back whole seasons, actually
not sure if any show has done that but if they haven't then that would
be something a lot of people would be talking about. Just makes me sad
how they massacred this damn good show, well Predatoure if your watching
this, you've been doing your part to highlight how this show has
deteriorated after its first three way better seasons. So you have a
sliver of hope left for bring this show back, then please help get the
fans to work together and accomplish the not ye impossible. there is
still time as the actors aren't too old at this point, and reintroducing
them could still happen. The clock is ticking, we can't just wait
around for things to get better, we need to act as one soon before it's
too late. Fear the Walking Dead isn't too far gone yet.

repost since I think a lot of people feel the same and we could really
achieve something here, so the Predatoure thing was for his video, but
if you aren't from that video then go check his channel for so actual
good content concerning TWD Universe. Also check out more TWD Explained, hes like the Acid Glow of TWD.
If only all the fans of s3 and the youtubers covering this stuff could work to tell the showrunners that we want to go back to s3. It's ok if you don't feel up for it but I've commented on other channels similar to this that agree and with our combined audience I think we could achieve something great. well we didn't really see Madison die so there's that right?!? lol naw just kidding but seriously when Aleesha was telling the story and Morgan had a tear!! lol. wtf??!?!?! bad writing indeed. also thought Nick and his sister could have stopped those trucks. why do character's do the dumbest stuff or nothing at all that's out of character?? the first three episodes were off the chain tho. hopefully they go back to Alexandria with Morgan. one can hope!!

there is so much wrong with the writing of this show. They act so stupid and the writing is so dumb,
I stopped watching FTWD when season 3 premiered but I thought it was pretty solid and felt good about the show.
Then….. Season 4 rolled in and the first few episodes with Alicia and her group were fighting Morgan’s group was good but it went downhill after when they met the truckers.
They kept going in circles with the dialogue and Morgan became so annoying trying to save everyone even if the person is a psycho like that woman who tried to kill them all.
The writing became inconsistent .
I love walking dead but fear season 4 was boring

The moment Nick died, Madison became a failure. Her reason to fight was her family. When there is just one left of the 4 people she was fighting for, Its pretty obvious she is doomed. Rick lost his fight in season 8. And now Lincoln doesn't want to go on playing a failure. And he is jumping ship.So why was this death such a surprise? I suspected it when Nick killed that garden gnome looking bad guy. When Nick died, I knew it was coming. And I'm not super smart. Or psychic for that matter. I just have a basic idea of Hollywood storytelling.
Krzysztof Mular Olsen 100% agreed. I had a feeling Nick and Madison were goners this season idk why. Was just a feeling. And so when nick died that confirmed it for me that Madison was dead. She’s always been looking for nick and fighting to keep him safe and to me from a storytelling standpoint, if Nick was to die she should at least be around to see it or mourn properly. There’s no way they would’ve robbed her of that and so when they did, that said to me that she was gone already. Nick’s reaction and how brutal he was to the guy pretty much said that.

It was like Travis death the way it was handled this dude just fought off two people who killed his son , fought to escape , get captured fights waves of walkers to survive , then he does by being the only one shot on a helicopter 🤦🏻♂️ like hey we built up these characters you care about for 3 seasons now you just ganna find out there dead !!!! Haha but here is Morgan and his annoying bullshit !!!!

Quick question. Umm i thought Mel was in the car with Nick & Alicia?? How did he manage to get away? In his "condition" nonetheless?? Im soo confused man smh.
That's part of the fancy editing and them not really showing anything....like the gun battle at the dog track and the death of Madison.....I call it JUMP editing because they jump time from shot to shot.....they also did those annoying fade in's and out's. So to answer your question....Supposedly Madison, Strand and Luciana get to the car and get Alicia and Nick out and make their way back tot the Gate. Mel gets away in the car they left....and finds Charlie and rescues her. - IF MEL COULD GET THE CAR OUT OF THE PARKING LOT WHY COULDN'T ALICIA AND NICK!!!!! - Every time I think about it it kind of irritates me, sorry
As far as why THEY say Mel could get away with the other car was that Madison had distracted the herd by then. smh

Jon is a cool character. Some of the ideas are interesting but this was an overall awful season. Every OG fan of fear can agree
Its funny but also shows how tv shows change on a dime cause the hole point of Alicia an Nick character was to show how one who had no life an was an outcast pre apocalypse, an one who had plans for college an to make a life an all that, shift mentally when it all hits. She was ment to not be able to handle it while nick would be a hero to others with how well he handled it an you sorta see this all by the end of season two but 3 an 4 were constant changes on the shows development now I don't get what there doing any more with just Alicia an Strand left two characters who originally were ment to show how the new world was not for them like the old one.

There isn't going too be a season 5 of the fear of the walking dead because just in season 4 they killed off two people Nick and Madison while Nick was leaving the show but why did they have too kill off Madison they r killing off all the main characters
As in the video, I think they saw her as a weak lead and one reason the show was not doing well. The producers decided it was best to do a total reboot. They may keep Alicia. - If Morgan stays, and most of the rest of the group lives...there could be a five. Do you think they will try and merge FTWD with the main show (meaning they will take the few characters left on FTWD and cross them over to TWD)?

😂 😂 i was so tick off like its so many dumb az moments in this show from season 1 and on 😂. But i learn to accept it after a news broadcast on fox came on about car jackings and uber saying hey drivers can refuse a ride. 🤷 like its a lil too late to tell if someone a carjacker or not once they get in your car. 😂🤦🏽 then tmz came on about some lady rushing a kid claiming he stole her phone n really left it in a uber. Then a story came on about people scamming people out of stimulus checks and other things people fall for. So it pretty much says in reality people do dumb shit so i guess we gotta except the dumb shyt in FTWD 😂 🤦🏽🙄 its a headache n TV 📺 but wtf 😠😡 😂 im just so glad im only watching this for the first time because its a fukin pandemic. #Bored

Yeah, I am wondering if they simply left it open just in case? Like the writers did at the end of S3. They left it open for the next showrunners to do what they wanted with the story and each character. What would really be funnnnny would be if suddenly Madison showed up in Alexandria with some burns and amnesia.

Season 3 was good until season finale and just scrapping all the story that could’ve came from it
The last half is so much better, a lot of the main character they we’re dicks and not even well written anti heroes, by time Nick died I was glad cause they turned his character into a cranky villain.
Season 1-3 was awesome. Great TV. Was even better than TWD 4-11. In season 3 FTWD, I felt like troy survived way too long. The Clark family was Badass. Honest I can't stand Morgan as the main character. He fights with his team more than killing zombies. And the constant back and forth of "I'm killing everybody, I'm not killing anyone" is annoying. The actor is good but Morgan is annoying as hell. Same with Strand. Daniel should have killed Victor early in S3.

The negative comments towards Charlie, season 4 and the overall direction of the show are justified, in no way is season 4 acceptable shifting from 2 different stories while never keeping any form of consistency. The writing forces you to not only abandon any feelings towards the characters but you lose all empathy, its running into the same issue TWD has which is a flare for the dramatics when it comes to telling the story, 1 example more scenes of pointless dialogue in season 4 then 2, and 3 combined
Yeah, the first half of Season 4 is about the worst the show has done in my opinion. It's not that it as all bad begingin to end. No alot of it was good. Even Nick's death was actually good. But the thing is each NEXT episode they got worse and worse and worse. And as things got worse going ahed, they slowly ruined what had allready happened. And by the end of this Half they are making the big death pretty Pointless. Madison died for almost nothing. One of her kids got killed after trying to get revenge for her death. And they all turned into wild beasts still. A tape reminded them of what they where supposed to be. But really.... Thus far, it's just bad writing. The first half of Season 2 was pretty dull. The first episode was a one epic bore... Nothing happened. But i'll say this half is the worst the show has seen so far simply because they've wasted so much. The thing is, the actor playing Nick wanted to leave. So they should instead have given him the big mid season death. Sure there would still be alot of problems here. But they would for the most part be made weaker due to them not just wasting the show like yesterdays trash. Like WTF!? Nick was like the fan favorite... And now his Gone. Madison was the lead that half hated and half liked well enough. Shes killed. And not much more then a season ago they Killed travis wich was also lead material and a very popular character. They've killed off thir top cast memebers... But we still have Strand. Wich i don't hate... But i feel like i've been forced to kinda like him because the show refused to get rid of him. And Alicia or what ever... I don't hate her. But shes not anything wow. Shes ok for the most part. But her family is gone. And she worked best with them... So i just don't know... Fear is a new show. Everything up until now was a waste of time and i'm kind of not interested in seeing any more of this show. But i will because i want to know if all this BULLSHIT was worth it.

the showrunners should have begged Frank DIllane to stay on even if he wanted to go. They should have paid him the most for his role. I doubt it, though.
The first half of season 4 was the worst? Care to reevaluate that now you've seen the 2nd half, which was so mind numbingly boring I skipped from Strand getting drunk going out to look for Charlie till the last 2 episodes, where suddenly there was a whole new cast of people in the new "Morgan & Friends" show. The 2 originals, Strand & Alisha hardly said a word, while Morgan set out to be the next Rick Grimes in a weird way. Utter trash & biggest disappointment, going from seasons 1-3 which I loved to that shit show. Had Gimple all over it.

Couple small critiques on my end.
They did show the early days of the zombie apocalypse, Gloria was literally patient zero.
They also never claimed they would explore how it began. Robert Kirkman was pretty open about that since day one, and reiterated that before Fear premiered.

Catching up on this show, I am absolutely shocked people liked season 3 because I found it unbearable. Not only did I find Madison to be a complete monster, she didn't even work as a hero--villain because she didn't even come up with good plans. All she did was yell over here--run to yell over there--run some here else to do more yelling and then circle back to yell to get here way again. Her family drama became excruciating and their relationship and protection of Troy was ridiculous. It became the All Madison Show All the Time.
Then I get to season 4 and I actually liked it. I liked the sepia wash; the use of vignettes; the cutting way back on dialogue; and the weird characters we meet along the way giving an overall other-wordily and eerie vibe. But NOPE! Madison has to gate crash everything halfway through and bring back her very specific blend of mediocrity, megalomania and I and the Queen of the Universe and you shall obey me--ness.
What' interesting is , after she is gone and her dull (but loud) character isn't sucking everything out of a scene... you can finally see how bad the writing is and how the episodes and greater story arcs alike just loop over and over and over. Worst writing indicators:
1. "TWD Combat Move:" this TWD move i used probably at least once in EVERY FTWD episode, often numerous times. Attacker has victim cornered by holding a gun at victim. But attacker is standing too close to victims so... yup, EVREY SINGLE TIME.... attacker grabs for gun and fight ensues. This is so lame and insulting to viewers.
2. What did they do to Morgan?! One of my favourite characters has become a bore with all that guilt, all the time, in every scene, in every episode.
3. Writers want to skip ahead so they wrote dialogue where some characters fill-in one character with what happened or an explanation of something they don't want to actually show. This is so incredibly cheesy and I feel sorry for this group of really great actors that cannot make this cheapness work no matter how hard they try.
4. Maudlin scenes of Care Bears speaking about how important each one is, or how they are there for someone or some other go round the horn with every character saying something sappy set to piano music.
Anyway, I am glad I can still watch a few more seasons before I have to stop because of Madison's return, but the writing is pretty city college night school learning annex fiction writing remedial class 101.

Great show until this horrible season. Terrible storytelling. There were some highlights, but overall, the first half was tolerable, then the second half veered into complete idiocy. Nothing worse than a plot driven by stupid mistakes. Painful to watch. The characters were good except for the corny truck thief siblings, and the lunatic woman was ridiculous. Not to mention Hollywood seems to have a fetish for creating crazy dreadlocked black woman characters. I was impressed that the guy in the wheelchair survived the season, you know they can only have so many black characters alive at once.
I lost interest in FTWD during season 2. G.A.R. was right. TWD is a just a soap opera with an occasional zombie.

Here's a direct quote: FRANK DILLANE: "I had been doing it for three or four years, the show has undergone many changes in terms of different people in charge, all of this stuff, and I just felt like the beginning of this season kind of felt like the end of an era with this show"

Sentinel Randy Nah. He's a lot better than what he was in the first couple seasons. It does take time for him to get used to not being the duck he was his entire life. So one year isn't going to 100% completely change that. I mean, that's just my opinion of course. And you have the right to have your own.
