- In his 10th year, Kelce continued to reach new heights and cement his status as one of the greatest tight ends to play the game. Kelce broke the record for most games with 100+ receiving yards with 35, became only the fifth TE all-time to have 10,000 career receiving yards, and set new records for career postseason receptions (133) and TDs (16) by a TE on the way to his second Super Bowl win.

His TD this past weekend was superb. Truly hard fought within a “scrum” if I daresay.
So essentially what George Kittle is saying is that Travis doesn't actually run the route as it's drawn up on paper. Travis actually used to play QB before switching over to Tight End. So he has the added ability of being able to read coverages a lot faster than other TEs can. So the Chiefs' offense essentially says, he's the basic idea of what you're supposed to do, but once the play starts just find the soft area of the coverage and stop. What's so incredible is that Patrick Mahomes is so familiar with Travis that he anticipates what Travis is going to do based on the coverage as the play is developing live.
There have been multiple times where Travis is originally supposed to break to the right, but based on the coverage he decides to stop or break left and Patrick will throw the ball, before Travis has even completed his break, to the left. That's an incredible level of chemistry and timing. Both Travis and Patrick together make each other look good.
Its crazy how often he'll run his route and turn around with his hands up and the ball is instantly in his hands with him fully ready for it every time. Their timing is crazy
@@TheGoodChap Its mind boggling how every week he is making catches with no other players within 10 yards. He is a beast finding that open spot. Teams HAVE to quit playing zone against him or they will never have him contained.
@@notsomadscientist9602well I mean you can’t play man against him either cause of his route running lol. Unless you triple him like the dolphins did. And you can’t blitz either because mahomes is back there. The chiefs are inevitable.

Travis played Hockey at a high level. He said his game in football improved because of it. In fact he recommended the kids played hockey in order to improve their football game. Also playing basketball helped him with jumping and leaping.
TE is a hybrid position they both block and receive. Mike Evans is a WR they primarily receive the ball.
Usually double teamed and still beats them.

There are 2 reasons most big guys dont play offensive skill positions. 1 being most cant move and catch like kelce so their skill set and attributes are better used on defense. The other reason is pay.... if you can be disruptive on defense you are way more likely to secure a big bag whereas skill positions aren't paid as much because of the depth at the positions
Tom Brady doesn’t feature because it’s the top 100 players for 2023 not the top 100 players of 2022.
Those 2nd team all pro teams are likely him finishing behind some other great TE’s in that span. Gronk and Kittle likely took some 1st teams in there.
His first season don’t even count because he was only in one game before getting an injury that kept him out the rest of that season so that makes his stats even more impressive I think.
