Good morning.... it's freaking snowing again. What we got In the super early hours of the morning on Monday finally melted yesterday. Today it's coming down again...I'm mean it's coming down hard. We've been battling power outages. Now we have boil water notice. Because we're so not used to this weather, everything is a mess and Texas was very unprepared. Your board looked so good and both pastas looked yummy 😋. Yes, Williams Sonoma is super $$$$$. I love that store though, because I love to cook and bake. Have a good rest of the week and weekend 😁
You did a great job on the board. The pasta and meatballs looked really good too. Hairdresser did a perfect highlight on your hair but then again you always look great.
For my son’s eczema he soaks in a tub of warm to hot water and dried rose petals that we boil then add them and the water to the bath. Over the years his skin has improved dramatically. He used to be itchy and in lots of pain. Nothing worked and creams only burned since his skin was always cracked and bleeding from the dryness and scratching. We used to do this monthly and now he rarely needs it. His eczema is almost unnoticeable. The same treatment can be done using iceberg lettuce leaves as well. We did this twice a month. Lettuce helps but isn’t as strong as roses but is good to use to maintain comfort and keeps the cost down.
You did such a great job on your board!! It turned out so pretty! What did you think of the Netflix Crime show about the Cecil? It’s such a bizarre story!! I told my hubby we have to ride by it when we are in LA again...I just want to see it...but I’m locking the doors and not stopping! 😂

I have made the Tik Tok Feta/Tomato dish and loved, loved, it, I think you needed a little more cheese, I used a bit more than that. So easy and I tasty. Lovin the hair. i have not yet made a Charcuterie Board but I need to do this. Funny enough, I remember the video where you bought the board....we had to cut a tree down at our cabin and there just happened to be a slap that had a great shape that I saved. I think I will treat so that I can use for a board. Woke up Valentine's day to a dozen red roses, beautiful. We enjoyed a steak and lobster dinner at home. OMG that pasta with meatballs looked so good. I have to laugh, that one poor fern by your pool always ends up in the pool, lol.
Taryn, I don't know if it would make a difference, but have you tried using a humidifier? I wonder if it is not just the cold but the dry air that is aggravating your eczema. I would suggest seeing your dermatologist because it sounds like it makes you miserable. Also maybe try your MAC moisturizer on one of your spots and see if it offers any relief as it works for your facial eczema.
My eczema is the same way!! Only bad in the winter. My doc prescribed me Clobetasol Propionate and it’s literally the only thing that has ever worked for me. I’ve had medicine, treatments, etc and nothing works like this cream!
Always a bonus to see a Layla photo bomb! Publix has raw pizza dough! There’s a great recipe for pizza dough from WW (check Pinterest) Greek yogurt + self rising flour! Your pasta looked 😋 yummy!
Taren- i haven’t bought an air fryer yet! There so many- I just don’t which one to buy! I was looking at the Corsori on Amazon!! I would love as I’m sure many would to show us how and what you prepare in your air fryer? Which one do you have?? I would love your input!!!!

I find the best items at Aldi for my charcuterie boards. Use Naan Bread or pitas to make pizzas on..I do them for lunch or dinner all time when I need something quick but yummy.
I just made the feta tomato tiktok pasta last night. I enjoyed it. I did read you are supposed to use feta made from sheep's milk. That's supposed to make it creamier. Bummed I didn't read that till after I purchased my feta. I still enjoyed it though. I want to try it again with the sheep's milk feta.
Hi Taren. A hot shower us the worst thing you can do for eczema. It will make the itching so much worse. Have you tried triamnicilone ointment? Worked wonders for me. Good luck and I love your channel 😊

I was on the fence with getting the air purifier, but you just helped me decide to purchase it. We have two dogs, and I've been having sinus/allergy issues lately. I'm excited to get it and see some results.
It does, but it doesn’t bother us. There are 3 settings: low, medium and high. It gets lifer the higher the speed. We keep the living room one on low and the bedroom in medium. I sleep right through it.
I’m gonna ask, have you tried true lipids truE therapy Ceremide + cream by Cheryl Lee MD. My friend swears by it! She uses right after a shower and it’s made a world of difference.
I'm at work watching, lol that's why I'm leaving so many comments... I'm sure you have tried before, but I have severe eczema too! It's so miserable, especially in the winter. I dry brush (I got my brush for super cheap at Walmart), then shower with something moisturizing (I use the Aveeno for sensitive skin), then halfway dry off (still leave some moisture) and soak my skin in body oil (I use either Nuetrogena or Dr Teals) and then cover that with an unscented lotion, usually either the Eucerin or Aveeno. It's not completely made it stop, BUT I have noticed a huge difference.
I had psoriasis and I had to get on Stellara - what a huge difference! I had it all over my whole body and tried the tanning bed. its really a non issue now. so much better. really- go to a dermatologist and get help with that.

My dermatologist prescribes Betamethasone Valtrate Creme. I break out so bad that my skin itches, cracks and burns. It literally clears me up in one day. Not sure if you have tried it but it is the ONLY thing that has ever worked for me. It is very important to get the cream not the gel. The gel did not work as well and was very greasy. If you have tried it and it did not work then I am so sorry because no one understands what this is like unless they live with it!
Holy moly. Maybe it’s the angle but that is some thick sliced bacon. My daughter is salivating 😆. She may come move in with you after seeing the charcuterie board.
No recommendation because I know you’ve heard it all but my boyfriend has horrible eczema too so hopefully you don’t feel alone 🙁 maybe a heating pad will help when just relaxing though!!

Lol I have gray hair and I stopped covering it. But I am your mothers age and I was done with the dying it. Oklahoma is 17 today and that’s way warmer than the last couple days. Hot showers are bad for your skin if want heat on it try a heating pad or two. We use the kind that goes in the microwave to warm up.
We had record breaking temps and snow in Arkansas. Apparently the weather hasn’t been like this since 1989 I believe. There’s over a foot of snow and we’ve been basically in a lockdown since Sunday the 14th. Two snow storms that took majority of the south for a turn.
Has a doctor ever mentioned collagen supplements for your eczema? Working from the inside out? I started taking it for mine and it has helperd so much and also my KP is almost gone. I know every body is different but may be worth a shot. I’m so sorry yours is so painful. I’m sure changes in the weather and humidity makes your symptoms so much worse.
I have been contemplating an air purifier because of my spring allergies. Half the time I develop pneumonia because of my symptoms. Both of my boys suffer much worse than I do. I'm not balking at the price tag, but at the cost of the filters! How often do those need changed out? Yikes.

For the environmental, we're starting allergy shots. For the food allergies, we have to avoid those when she is going to be doing things that require lots of clothing changes. She dances competitively and the breaks out horribly during the quick costume changes when she's had a lot of the foods she's allergic to (eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts), So just a thought, but maybe you're triggered the same and can figure out how to manage the triggers? Hope you find something that works for you!! It's such a problem but seems small in the vast world of medical issues...but when it's happening to you or someone you love, it's huge!
Was coming here to say the same thing. So many skin problems are allergy related. An elimination diet would help determine whether any foods are problematic. A allergy panel test is great for identifying environmental allergies. Taren, if you are able to see an allergist, I highly recommend it.

Nope! I tossed it in olive oil and lemon pepper seasoning, then threw it in the air fryer. Delicious!

Have you tried Tea Tree Oil? It worked on my eczema.

I’m with you with the dry brushing it helps so much and the curel wet moisturizer right after a shower has made such a difference

Taren, my doctor told me the worst thing I could do is take a hot shower. He suggested cool showers. He said the heat dries out your skin more.

Was coming here to say the same thing. So many skin problems are allergy related. An elimination diet would help determine whether any foods are problematic. A allergy panel test is great for identifying environmental allergies. Taren, if you are able to see an allergist, I highly recommend it.
Ps. I’m so sorry you are suffering with eczema. I have a mild case and I know how itchy and burny it could be.

Embrace your gray hun, each one represents a life lesson you have been through. Or at least that's what my grandma told me. I started going gray at 17 and stopped coloring my hair at 37. I feel Sasser now than I ever did as a redhead.
