It definitely seems like splitting your forces into large cells but keeping them near each other instead of garrisoning them all together might be the best course against heavy defended positions. Supply parties are also useful so your decently stocked.

Damn, Boston has cavalry. As expected Cavalry is OP. As sending knights to peasants. Remember seeing can research Dragoons( range cavalry ) mot sure can get mele one. Mele one is awesome. What you need to do is maneuver and trick the AI. Also like AI in combat when bells on you not stays get slaughter. BUT DAMN mele cavalry will be so nice on the red coats when running for their lives.
Half way through the vid and I must say I feel you made the mistake of doing to much consolidating when you could instead have made smaller armies of 1000 each who could spread out and form a net that could catch any and all stragglers
You can merge up to 4 units into a regiment in campain map for easier control, though when join garrison that regiment will be split up and have to merge again when leave

I have been waiting for a game like this since Empire & I feel like the developers are going to be able to rival TW & do very well if they make the right moves as it looks like they have been so far. I’m really excited for this game as I haven’t been able to enjoy the last few TW games and know they will never make an Empire II or anything close to as good as it. So I’d even invest money into these guys. It looks like they’ve made some improvements since Civil War & I’d love to see their full vision of a Grand RTS set around historical events, wars, cultures, etc.
The game goes on numbers and not training, so they just swamp the British and that is the end of that. We know that is rubbish. I am getting draws even the British hammered me, its happens some times when the British are defeated on the field as well, if you leave before the game gives the victory sign it will call it a draw. Like i said training seems to count for nothing except the brits last about 5 minutes longer than the Americans. Cannons are nasty and so they should be.
This game can really use some engineers that can throw down defences

No kidding, so much unclear what can be doing. How best use recourse, raise a army and how get broke.
If your units are low on manpower you can merge two units and make one big unite

You have supply parties which you are completely neglecting by the way make a supply chain, you’ll need infrastructure when they open the map on you
what difficulty are you playing on?

Also you can merge units in battle map up to 320 troops, they will have stronger morale, more firepower but move slower, and lose condition faster

Right now only as the americans but they will add a british campaign in the future
