      He told TA in msg2 will be used to compare while receiving msg4. I don't have the details though.

      What is the size of the random access response window?

      It is determined by ra-Response Window Size. This window size can be the number between 0 and 10 in the unit of subframes. This means that the maximum time difference between the end of RACH preamble and RACH Response is only 12 subframes (12 ms) which is pretty tight timing requirement.
