At 4:28 when Dumbledore was pulling harry off of cedric, it just occurred to me that I never realised how much trauma harry actually had to endure. He lost his parents so young that he never even got to experience what having a mother and father felt like, spent 11 years stuck with people who bullied him and treated him as a burden, had to watch as a fellow student was killed when he was just 14, lost the only parental figure he had ever known- Sirius, Dumbledore and countless other important people in his life- Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Mad-eye etc and he was forced to battle the greatest dark wizard of all time when he had barely entered adulthood. Everyone was so preoccupied with the fame and attention that he received that no one once stopped to think what price it came at. He never knew his parents and no matter what anyone says about friends being the family that you choose and him having a wife and kids, he never actually had a real family and the bitter truth was that he never would.

Thanks. JKR just expressed some doubts about whether their marriage would last, and I have to agree that their relationship would be a difficult one. Hermione has very high expectations of people and Ron is inclined to feel inferior so that could eventually be destructive.
And in the end she said they'll be fine and later she repeated that they love each other very much and there is no need to worry. Can we please stop talking about that on every Romione video, it's getting exhausting! She would have to rewrite the entire series to uncouple these two! I think she made a point in telling the creators of the play to make sure that Ron/Hermione are very happy together! I mean snogging in her office, being in love in every time line, and vows renewal, that's pretty romantic to me. Also while I do like Harry and Ginny together, I think their relationship is pretty boring, it seems almost too perfect. They had an amazing love story. It was amazing because it wasn't perfect. It was teenage romance. There was jealousy and heartbreak. there was a whole jealousy competition in Half Blood Prince. Ron I think needed to go through his empty relationship with Lavender to fully realize that there was only girl he wanted to be with, Hermione. And at the end of HFB and the beginning of Deathly Hallows, they were basically dating, because they knew they liked each other, but the also knew it wasn't the right time to start a real relationship.

Emma is a great actress, probably the best of the three, and the greatest criticism she got in this role (more like towards the casting director) is that she is too pretty for the role. Even JK Rowling admitted this, saying Emma is perfect for the role but unfortunately she had to contend that her geeky, gawky, nerdy and average looking Hermione will be gone in the imagination of her readers/viewers. Hermione character development from a bright know-it-all to a teenager who feel invisible and unattractive because of boys' lack of interest on her is hardly on the plot of the movies as it was not believable. Hermione was obviously written to tell kids and young adults that beauty comes in many forms and sizes and must not be contained on the physical. This is hard to imagine in the later books as readers tend to imagine characters' looks based on the movie, I, myself included. I kinda always forget that Hermione in the books is not as attractive as Emma. This is the reason why the character development of book Hermione to a confident young lady was not that appreciated by many.
Ship Ron & Hermoine. Also ship Rupert & Emma, felt like they secretly liked each other for a good while there. Too bad none of them really kept in touch & all ended up in relationships with others 😢 would’ve loved to see a real life love story too!!

That's not how it works Franzi. For example Albus had a Muggleborn witch mother and a Pureblood father and so he was a Halfblood. And Tonks had a Muggleborn wizard father and a Pureblood mother. So she also was a Halfblood. It doesn't matter if one of your parents is a muggle or a Muggleborn. If one of your parents is Pureblood and one of them has Muggle blood, then you are a Halfblood.

At 4:28 when Dumbledore was pulling harry off of cedric, it just occurred to me that I never realised how much trauma harry actually had to endure. He lost his parents so young that he never even got to experience what having a mother and father felt like, spent 11 years stuck with people who bullied him and treated him as a burden, had to watch as a fellow student was killed when he was just 14, lost the only parental figure he had ever known- Sirius, Dumbledore and countless other important people in his life- Lupin, Tonks, Fred, Mad-eye etc and he was forced to battle the greatest dark wizard of all time when he had barely entered adulthood. Everyone was so preoccupied with the fame and attention that he received that no one once stopped to think what price it came at. He never knew his parents and no matter what anyone says about friends being the family that you choose and him having a wife and kids, he never actually had a real family and the bitter truth was that he never would.
Couldn't agree more. The movies skate over the trauma and pain to a large extent, but it's there in the books.

And one of the other things that I like about the series is that, even though the entire wizarding business is fictitious, Harry is a real character with real emotions and he's dealt with realistic problems in his childhood, unlike the books written about overly sheltered protagonists.

Thanks. JKR just expressed some doubts about whether their marriage would last, and I have to agree that their relationship would be a difficult one. Hermione has very high expectations of people and Ron is inclined to feel inferior so that could eventually be destructive.
And in the end she said they'll be fine and later she repeated that they love each other very much and there is no need to worry. Can we please stop talking about that on every Romione video, it's getting exhausting! She would have to rewrite the entire series to uncouple these two! I think she made a point in telling the creators of the play to make sure that Ron/Hermione are very happy together! I mean snogging in her office, being in love in every time line, and vows renewal, that's pretty romantic to me. Also while I do like Harry and Ginny together, I think their relationship is pretty boring, it seems almost too perfect. While Ron/Hermione , the fact that they are very different, it makes it more interesting, and more challenging, and yes ofcourse they'll have to work on it, but it only makes it more realistic! Also JK totally loves the opposite attract kind of couples, Newt/Tina are the prove of it, even their meeting had parallels to Ron/Hermione!

They had an amazing love story. It was amazing because it wasn't perfect. It was teenage romance. There was jealousy and heartbreak. there was a whole jealousy competition in Half Blood Prince. Ron I think needed to go through his empty relationship with Lavender to fully realize that there was only girl he wanted to be with, Hermione. And at the end of HFB and the beginning of Deathly Hallows, they were basically dating, because they knew they liked each other, but the also knew it wasn't the right time to start a real relationship.
One thing I love about Ron is that he was NEVER jealous of Harry being close to Hermione! Throughout the 7 years!!!!! I don't blame Lavender for NOT falling in love with Ron. He's absolutely charming 😍 Sorry Hermione, but I have to admit he's gorgeous 😍 ♥️ ❤️

Emma is a great actress, probably the best of the three, and the greatest criticism she got in this role (more like towards the casting director) is that she is too pretty for the role. Even JK Rowling admitted this, saying Emma is perfect for the role but unfortunately she had to contend that her geeky, gawky, nerdy and average looking Hermione will be gone in the imagination of her readers/viewers. Hermione character development from a bright know-it-all to a teenager who feel invisible and unattractive because of boys' lack of interest on her is hardly on the plot of the movies as it was not believable. Hermione was obviously written to tell kids and young adults that beauty comes in many forms and sizes and must not be contained on the physical. This is hard to imagine in the later books as readers tend to imagine characters' looks based on the movie, I, myself included. I kinda always forget that Hermione in the books is not as attractive as Emma. This is the reason why the character development of book Hermione to a confident young lady was not that appreciated by many.

That's not how it works Franzi. For example Albus had a Muggleborn witch mother and a Pureblood father and so he was a Halfblood. And Tonks had a Muggleborn wizard father and a Pureblood mother. So she also was a Halfblood. It doesn't matter if one of your parents is a muggle or a Muggleborn. If one of your parents is Pureblood and one of them has Muggle blood, then you are a Halfblood.
