When you were about to play in Argentina the pandemic came and you couldn't play here. At that time I knew the Hellacopters but I wasn't into your music so much. Now I grew a strong love for your music, and it's a big influence in my style of playing and understanding how music should be played. I hope you play here sometime and that I can meet you to hug you all and tell you face to face how much your music means to me.
I didn't realize most of this was from the original tapes - I thought the whole thing was re-recorded. Interesting that Nicke thought the original was guitar heavy, the updated mix makes them sound a lot more powerful.
I was a little low on expectations because I don't like remasters and this stuff, I'm always on the original BUT damn this revisited version is KILLER!!! Feels weird and at the same time so awesome to hear an album that I've listened to so many times for so many years with all this new details and things!!! On the other side, I would have prefered have the original instead of the remaster but sounds great too!!!! Long live The Mighty Hellacopters!!!!¡
I had it back in the day. A roadie for Nashville Pussy offered to take it off my back in exchange for some of their merch. had to decline as it was super difficult to find Hellacopters stuff in Canada at the time (and still is).
The original is already a masterpiece, so nothing bad can come out of it.
