    Thank you for your effort and the video.
    I also prefer the unpolished variant, but cleaned should be a lens.
    I cleaned all my brass lenses. However, the subsequent paint is new to me. I thought that was because of the look and not that it starts to oxidize again. Thanks for this valuable note Dennis.

    I would love to see a video where you show your process for cleaning and coating one of the lenses you work on, in the future.

    What is the coating applied after cleaning, and more importantly best cleaning method. I have several antique hand held telescopes I am concerned about. Note I will check you other uploads to see if the questions I have asked are even relevant. Thanks.

    Cleaning, Yes. Polishing, not so much. I love the natural patina of the old lenses.

      interestingly properly cleaning a lens is quite harder, needs more experience and work then just point blank polish a lens down. it took me years to adjust my proccess.
