i think it’s the style.. the wide band will probably only allow skinny feet in.. or one with low instep ( no shade).. there is still space at the front where your foot can’t get to… if the strap is snug style it will probably constrict circulation.. u dodged that one at least…

Actually these are half a size bigger than the ones I already own. My other pair is a 37.5, so they really played me with this size. I actually think I’d need a size 40 coz the fit of this one makes me wonder if a 39 would fit

You're right that strap was way too tight. I really liked them so its my loss but at least I got my money back
