It's remarkable how those evolving Tangerine Dream-style bass grooves that I used to think were quite complicated are actually fairly simple. By programming in a few subtle changes to a simple pattern, I could get lost in a groove like this for hours!
Quite easy to enjoy, given it was well done. Besides, I was still bobbing my head from the jam I did a couple of days ago. Berlin School never dies ;) Have a great evening!@@synthseeker
Your Berlin school/synth wave videos are fantastic and appreciated. Great teaching technique. I prefer the hardware video but the soft synth vids apply. Thank you for these. I will keep watching over and over again.
Unrated really is a better fit. Regarding niche: Your content is really valuable for learning any kind of electronic music production. I listen to modern electronic music (psybient, chillgressive ...) and this guys make often use of this oldschool techniques as well. @@synthseeker
Nice one Luke but don't forget Sorceror! Many thanks for sharing your knowledge, I've been slowly learning the Berlin School vibe so I can use it as a basis for further exploration, and you're really helping me. I could listen to that riff for hours... maybe due to me discovering Encore Live in my formative years, which I've never gotten bored with. Cheers, and please keep it up :)
Been a Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulz, J M Jarre fan for decades but never quite able to replicate the Berlin School style but your videos make it possible! Thank you so much. Regarding transpositions, a common technique which I find very effective is to move a whole piece in steps of minor thirds (3 semitones).
Six minutes in and I'm immediately struck in mind of Jean-Michel Jarre's track 'Arpegiator' from 'The Concerts in China' album (1982). This is a good thing.

That is two layers in Omnisphere. The first is a D50-style fantasy bell, the second is something with Jarre in the name. Sorry I don’t recall! :( I’ll try to note them in the future.
i saw this in a previous vid and am confused; where do you find the scale setup in the clip view (or any view, for that matter), because i can't find it anywhere - i've had to write out the full scale each time, highlight it, hit the back arrow before inputting my notes, and do that for every single clip... please help [edit: forgot to mention i'm using v10.0.1]
Thanks very much. By viewing your videos I was able to create my own track. Maybe the baseline is very similar to what you shared here, maybe the track overall is a bit boring. But at least I find a way to make music I adore very much. Hope it’s a start to make something more “professional “. Thanks again. I hope the videos help you do your own!
As soon as the Airwolf pic showed up I heard the theme playing in my head...
Great info in here!
If it had lyrics I would sing it.
OMG been looking for a channel just like yours forever!

Yup! Perfectly in the spirit of those times.
Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks man. Most underrated synth/electronic music channel.
My pleasure! I would say "unrated" rather than "underrated"...we're kind of niche here. :P

Hey and its sounds great but what is the program your yousing ?
That is Ableton Live. :)
Thanks and a great day to you and your famile 🎹🎹🎹👌💪👍
@8:34 The metronome doesn't annoy me. What annoys me is a lack of information about the exact instrument and preset you used for this ethereal pad. :)

I think that is a feature of Live 11.
@@synthseeker thanks, i'll check it out - it's a really useful feature
The Germans love David Hasselhoff. Even Edgar Froese.
As they should! ;)
Alright? Ehm... *tsk* Right? Okey. Alright. *tsk* Ahem. Right. Okey. Alrright. Right. *tsk*

I have no reason to create my own... All I want is to duplicate what Tangerine Dream music.
Nothing wrong with playing covers! Have fun!
