    I just don't understand these people not only lack of decency, but complete lack of shame. I would be so unbelievably embarrassed about even getting into a situation where my vehicle had to be repoed, that if anything I would be profusely apologetic for forcing the property owner to send someone to pick it up or at the very least would quietly hand over the keys and just want it over with hoping my neighbors didn't notice what a piece of human garbage I am. Then to take it one further and act like they have a RIGHT to someone else's property that they haven't even paid for yet, wow. Just wow. Really makes you lose faith in humanity that we have so many unreasonable "me first" cockroaches like this in society.

      Brian Waller Uhhh, no they aren't. I'm not some special snowflake, and I buy all my cars with cash, I have two years savings in fluid assets, a 401K I can borrow from that is well funded, a diverse stock portfolio, and good credit if I need a loan by always keeping my word and paying my debtors back. Yes. I would be very embarrassed.

    Smh, that debter was really bright. He knew he was up for repo so he thought that it'd be a good idea to park near the exit, with the wheels you need to pick up facing the exit and then thought he could catch up to a moving vehicle.

    Some people say you guys are cowardly. I say you're brave. You could get attacked so easily. People that legitimately don't pay their loans should get repod. I speak from experience. Not something I'm proud of but I acted like a mature adult who calmly gathered my possessions, thanks to the repo man, and said goodbye to my vehicle. As I watched them drive away I took comfort in knowing that I would get another one eventually. And I did a few months later. It's a freaking CAR and they come and go! If you participate in the finance a vehicle game you have to be man/woman enough to lose the car when you haven't followed through on your end.

    Many years ago, I used to work as a skip-tracer (financial side) at a collections company. Out of the literally thousands of accounts I handled, I only ever felt sorry for two separate debtors. One, was a guy who was taking care of an elderly parent who couldn't take care of himself any longer. The guy had a great job. Not sure if he quit because he wanted a raise and didn't get one or because he got laid off. Only work he could find in his field was at a company that paid hm half as much as he was making. So, the parent's medical bills caught up to him. Another was a mother paying huge medical bills for her very physically ill son. In both cases, both debtors were polite and tried to work things out with us.
    This guy.... Hey, it's not as though it's a Toyota Yaris, Chevy Aveo, Mitsu. Mirage, or Nissan Versa. You buy a Dodge Charger, check your frickin' finances first to make sure you can afford the payments. If you realize you honestly can't, then get financing on an older Charger, or get something you can actually afford. (Hey, what a concept!) I can't feel sorry for this guy. Years ago, before he got some professional help to get his finances under control, a good friend of mine always made sure that his car payment was paid every month. He fell behind on some things, but never his car payments. He made sure he'd never experience the sort of thing seen in this video.

    How can anyone be on the side of the guy having his car taken? Second repo, same car? C'mon. You want your car, you make the payments. If you suddenly can't, you call the bank and say, "hey, I gotta give it back."
    The repo nut didn't endanger anyone. He knew what he was doing. I wouldn't have stopped with a dude chasing me, either. He could have done anything, including pull a gun.

    • @ltr4300
      @ltr4300 6 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Occasionally people just get in a bad cycle of finances and the bank or lot won't work with them, or they think they won't so they don't even ask. Not many, but there are a few. There was one young gal, single mother, I took her car three times and each time she would pay the past due and repo fee within a week, get it back, then same time of month it seemed to get sent to us to pick up. She never tried to hide the car or play any games, and always seemed to make sure she had all her personal stuff out of it like it was a given that it was going to be taken. I know she had young kids and she wouldn't even leave the car seats in it. Sensing a pattern, I started to wonder if maybe if she had a break from this cycle of having to pay current plus repo fees if maybe she'd get back on track so I started ignoring the car when it went up for repo next time. I had to deliberately keep my cameras from seeing it or the system would have alerted on it, but I could see it parked where it always was. A week later the repo order was rescinded and I never had to go take it again, so I assume that was the break she needed. I'm not totally without compassion...it's just that it rarely proves to be the right way to go in that biz.

      MysteryWolph there’s a lot of deadbeats out there who think everyone owes them something
      Like a business owner doesn’t need their money as much as the dead beat does so somehow it’s fair they keep the car without paying

      Justin Myers don’t buy things you can’t afford
      There may be legitimize reasons behind it, but you don’t get your car repossessed if you took responsibility for your debts
      ..should call the creditor and make arrangements to catch up. If they want their car back then you return it
      Can’t get to work? Take the bus
      Owning a vehicle is expensive, lots of people use the bus to save money

    • @ltr4300
      @ltr4300 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      And that means what to the repo guy? He has a job to do too. Most loan companies will work with you on some level if you have a legitimate problem. By the time it comes down to a repo, usually they have not heard dick from the debtor for at least 60 days. You signed a CONTRACT, the car is yours for as long as you make the payments. At the end, it's yours. If you don't we come get it. Pretty simple. It's not up to banks to work around your life's inconsistencies, and yet they will actually try. It's better for them to get late payments than no payments. Repo, transport, auction fees, title work, loss of capital on resale all cost them money. Good life lesson, although nobody ever listens...if you gotta buy stuff on credit, only do it if you have enough saved to make at least three payments if you have income problems. Otherwise, you're just skating on very thin ice. That's not their problem, that's you.

    I used to repo cars for the sheriff and loved taking cars from deadbeats who stopped paying for them.

    I had this exact same Charger lol! Got repoed but now I got a newer Charger with better payment plans and I pay ahead of time so I won't go through this again. I learned my lesson the hard way

    How'd you get the steering wheel straight without the keys? Shouldn't it have locked in place?

    • @GarciaMotorFreight
      @GarciaMotorFreight 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some vehicles (such as Dodge in this case) don't have locking steering wheels. That's why when he would take turns, the car would pitch further and further to the side. When he stops and gains entry into the vehicle, he puts the seat belt through the wheel to prevent it from pitching, and to keep it tracking straight.

      It’s a Dodge Charger, they have and always will be RWD. They do have an awd version I believe, but they are pretty rare. 99% you see on the road are plain Jane entry level.
