      For Gains : 1.6Gram per kg body weight
      How much to consume if my goal is fat loss?

    • @rkirwan1
      @rkirwan1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@soujanyakoduru4161 a similar amount is probably fine. You could consume as little as 1.2g/kg and that would help maintain muscle as long as your doing resistance exercise. You could consume more too if it helps control appetite.

      What are pros and cons of whey vs plant protein. What if I want to lower cholesterol? Would plant protein better?

    • @rkirwan1
      @rkirwan1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MatthewTKeough If we're talking exclusively about powders, we can't really say if there would be much difference in the effect on cholesterol levels (whey would only contain trace levels of cholesterol if any) as I'm not aware of any research looking at that specifically. As for muscle protein synthesis, whey is better than plant at lower doses (20g ish) but if you consume more (30g+) of each the difference in MPS becomes less notable. We'll have a video on that soon.

      Yeah bro forgive me for being stupid but could you explain to me as an individual how many scoops a day of protein should I take? I'm using THE Whey from myprotein rn and it says per serving is 25 g of protein, my mom says to just take one scoop a day so I won't get liver failure but I'm not sure if I believe that I should be taking only 1 scoop a day. I weigh 165 pounds rn so how many scoops should I take a day?

    I am 88+ years old. I come from a small town Ajmer in Rajasthan India. When I was small, around 1942,my mother who was a medical practictioner ( which was very very rare in those days ,Even in Europe), liked to keep cows in the residence, so that we all could get unadulterated milk, Clarified Butter(i.e. Ghee, for cooking,& consuming). We used to make Ghee at home from home made curds. At times we would curdle the milk by adding yogurt to hot milk,so that wecould get cottage cheese, called 'Paneer', for making tasty curry from it. My mother used , use the whey for kneadig the whole wheat dough, to make 'Roti'.Now after reading on TH-cam about the nutritional walue of whey & whey protein, I salute the wisdom of that generation, who understood the value of milk & its products. Thaks for enlightening us.🙏

    I remember when i had surgery on my abdomen and was in the hospital for over 30 plus days. Two of the weeks I wasn't allowed to eat bc my stomach wasn't digesting food properly. After i got out of the hospital. I was still the same way. I discovered this product (whey protein). I started making shakes with it using fruits and peanut butter for a thicker consistency. When i tell you, i started gaining my weight back and becoming more active. I have never felt so better. Now, my body is starting to reject meats as if and everytime i eat meat i throw it back up. So im about to start back to my old diet using this product so i can keep up my weight. Thanks for the video ❤

      Expire date and best before date are not the same.
      Best before explains itself by it's name: the date suggests when the food is guaranteed to be good, but it could be good a few days after the date.
      The expiry date is more accurate, since it tells when exactly the food isn't safe to consume anymore.
      Hereby, while you can take it after the best before date, it might be expired. I would suggest you don't consume after the best before date unless you know what you're doing.

My goal is to "re-gain" my normal weight back. I'm 5 ft 4 1/2 inches tall. My normal weight range was between 113-115lbs. That was back in 2015. Now I'm sad to say that I'm only 90-95lbs.

      Creatine is for endurance and stamina , creatine increases the atp of muslces leading to more reps and sets , better go for whey and bcaa . Whey after post immediate workout within 5 min for muslce repair and bcaa at night before that 6 hrs sleep for muscle recovery

    • @colinkee3537
      @colinkee3537 ปีที่แล้ว

      He says it in the video, you should take at least 1.6g of protein per kilo of bodyweight, per day. In your case 1.6g x 58kg = 92.8g of protein every day. 93g won't do you any harm.

    • @colinkee3537
      @colinkee3537 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So, you weigh 75 kg. You should take at least 1.6g of protein per kilo of bodyweight, per day. 1.6g x 75kg = 120g of protein per day. One scoop of protein in a shake will give you around 25g and you can get the rest from natural sources; chicken, eggs, fish, and nut butters, especially peanut butter, as well as dairy, ie milk or cheese.

    Is there a disadvantage to using casein instead of whey? I find whey causes bloating and nausea. Casein settles much better in the stomach for me, also mixes and tastes better.

    • @rav1617
      @rav1617 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Casein is slower digesting, meaning it might be easier on your body with these side effects.

      It's a bit late but yes whey might have slightly better nutritional stats but you should choose what you can stay consistent with. Everyone is different and reacts differently, so go with what works for you. Just know what it is that you're doing

      i take whey isolate and 3gm kf creatine post workout, one of the buff dudes told me taking whey and creatine together is a good idea for muscle recovery as well as muscle building by protien as well as creatine (water retention and atp production)
