Hi Max, thank you for this nice QSO between you and station from Coventry I guess near Birmingham ! This is what I could understand ! You had a quit good waves propagation between England and your mountains ;-) Kind Regards Philippe
Hi,max good conditions today, good to catch up 👍,next time we speak I can now use my foot warmer 😀,,,,,good luck tomorrow 👍,,,waiting for the video, 73 from John...
Good video, Max. I’m gathering your radio showing 0.2V less will be due to the voltage loss through the length of the cable, just something i learnt at college. Will have to get a video from you when we have some good conditions to see my audio from 7300. Whenever i hear you on band. It’s usually with poor conditions, and when it’s busy i know you will be down at 26mhz lol. You were sounding good today (yesterday) with the 450D.
Yes good point on the power cable loss. I did measure it on multimeter and found the same difference. As ever You are on the ball. Catch Up Soon. Cheers
LOL thats cool.Thats our local lads on ch33,I normally jump on and have a chat with these guys and they keeping the CB radio alive in the local area. Great bunch.
Hey max! I own the same radio model but I was wondering why your noise floor meter but mine is showing a lot I mean by a lot even if the propagation is great on 11m or 10m. Yours doesn't even have any bar showing. can you please tell me how?
Hi. I have a very low noise "floor" here. There is nothing near to give interference. I could explain all the intricacies of the set up but I feel it suffices to say I have the same zero-bar base noise woth my mobile FT891 set up. Not sure what to say, really. Any number of things can cause this from neighbour faulty charger to heating boiler bad earth to hybrid/electric vehicle nearby. I would check all your installation then have a wider investigation about. I wish you luck. Cheers
Hi max how come you don't use the A/B button for 26.285 and click again for 27.555 ? saves clicking down to it.. how many watts were you pushing to talk to UK
You should have 100 memories on the 450 max Program them in the whole UK 40 after its done its a one button press if you don't want to do it manually RT software is available you can do it via your pc
Hi there. Talk Back feature? Not sure what you mean. It can be programmed to call a recorded CQ if that is what you seek. Let me know if (or not) this is what you ask. Cheers
Seems normal. Depends on your SWR what your power gauge/meter shows. Even if you were to manage to obtain the 100 the difference would be minimal and as such 80w would be safer for your outputs. If you want more power then linear amp is your option there along with the inherent likely technical issues. If it works, don't fix it. Cheers
@@cqdx1677 OK Like I said 80 - 100 = no great difference. Check all the settings in the Menu & Ext Menu in case you missed something. Really, I wouldn't worry.
Hi Max, big help in showing how the offset is achieved on the UK FM band. I have the same rig and have followed your guide in using the CLAR (+1.25), but when I transmit, the frequency goes to the zeros, i.e. RX = 27.921.25. TX goes to 27.920.00. I haven't been able to rectify this yet. Any ideas or advice would be greatly recieved, thanks Max. 73.
Hi, yes it is a bit of a button-press-fest but really, that is what playing Radio is for! Ok, If I surf skip to UK/nIE I scan with selector and clarifier at +.125. If I find and TX I go off-Fast on SSB and TX + .120, it is near enough and not a CB on the planet would detect -.005. The 450d wasn't designed with that in mind but a wee bit buttonology/front-end-play is fun. Cheers
@@MaxMountainWorld Ah cheers Max, I get you now. Bit of a faff but workable. Thanks for your help. 👍🏼 Hope to catch you on 11m sometime. I often sit on 26.285 USB. 73 from 137RV01.
