A note on Guardian Project: Face down creatures don't have a name so they don't share a name with anything else. If your facedown lands are creatures, then they would trigger this.
Great video! One more thing to consider is that Yedora's face-down forests can morph. That means cards like Proteus Machine and Temur Charger can be turned into a creature at instant speed (without even using the stack!) I find that these pieces combo with altar of dementia even more reliably because there's no opportunity for someone to respond to the combo (once altar and the creature have resolved) aside from split-second spells. Natures claim on your altar of dementia? That's fine, just activate altar again and combo off while the nature's claim is still on the stack!
That is amazing! Definite includes, the thing the deck lacks is a variety of ways to combo off, with this you just need Yedora and a relevant sac outlet to win instead of a payoff and something to make your lands creatures. Brilliant! - Peter
CARD SUGGESTION!!! My very first (and currently most powerful) commander deck is Yedora aristocrats. I recently stumbled across an underused card that works flawlessly in this deck. Natural Affinity 2 and a green, instant, turns ALL lands into 2/2 creatures. Anytime someone dares to wrath the board while Yedora is in play, you can respond with this at instant speed to make sure that EVERYONE loses all lands and all creatures. Since Yedora saw all your land-creatures die, they all return as facedown untapped Forests. Everyone else is SOL while you have all the mana in the world to steal the game. If you like having friends, you can instead use this at any time you need some benefits from your sacrifice engine and don't have any creatures to sacrifice.
@user-rr4hr7bz7n False, effects exist on the stack even if their source is destroyed. Look up the interaction between death triggers and board wipes, you'll understand.
The lands yedora make actually dont have a name. Theyre nameless lands with a land type of forest. Evolutionary leap and embodiment of insight also let you grab every creature out of your deck too. I never thought if thousand year slider though. Im adding that to mine as well as some nice ideas here.
I thought long and hard about it but at the end of the day, there aren’t enough creatures in the deck to make it worth it unless I were really trying to get rid of my hand. All of the land walk abilities will either draw me too few cards or break even, so this doesn’t feel like the right deck. Again, if you’re going for more self mill than I did, it’s a great pick. - Peter
@@CommandValleynot only that not many creature are 3 or more power so you’d be discarding more than you draw If this was a titania deck then yeah 100% add it
I'm sure someone said already, but its much easier to do a loop with Morph creatures... Either Temur Charger or Proteus Machine Morph for free. Then all you need is Yedora and a sac outlet. There are also ones that cost 1, so an altar goes infinite. Sac / Return as Forest / Morph Repeat. This is also safer. There is no reason to make all your lands vulnerable by making them creatures. One sweeper like toxic deluge and you pretty much lose automatically doing that.

Using the Living Lands approach was definitely the first combo that I thought about for Yedora too!

doesn't that not work? it says the facedown card has no abilities
@@snowdazeTV morphs don't have abilities either but they can still flip, it's why ixidron still works with morph

Problem is yedora dies the EXACT same time everything else does so the lands don’t see yedoras ability so everything just dies

Yedora and morph cards have a funny little interaction

Blasting Station does work with Yedora and another landwalk card.
I'd definitely find room for greater good. A sac outlet that draws seems really good here.

If Yedora is out, they just become lands again, so it's fine if they die
If you are ever using huricane - directly swap it for squall line. Instant speed for 1 more green and same effect
