@@FutureProGoaltendingUSA In your position I wouldnt be too worried about making money on TH-cam, you can make a lot, and i mean a lot more money on the back end from A:becoming the "go-to" guy for goalie training, and selling plenty of goalie camps or lessons from having a big following B:creating a goalie online teaching program (videos+books etc) C:virtual goalie traning where people send you their videos and you critique them etc etc. Even the big guys on youtube make their biggest paycheques outside of the platform. The key here is to create a following of fans and give them plenty of content they love (Im a marketer, sold over 10mm in online products)

My little guy is 7 and plays U9 as and under age and his biggest struggle has been learning to move side to side being so small in a big net he is just starting to get the hang of butterfly pushes he had quite the time figuring it out so far, the things that helped the most were changing his skate sharpening hollow to 5/8 and him being on the ice as much as possible . he is very good at covering the bottom of the net compaired to goalies in his leauge, now we are continuing to work on his slides and pushes ( he was blown away watching the iron cross drills from your recent video) I am trying to get him to keep his gloves projected and square to the shooter as he can put himself off balance, so I told him to try and get his ankles flat to the ice be up on his knees with his hands forward to help him stay stable while sliding ( hopefully I am correct) Id love to see some videos on younger goalie issues/problems( but I'm sure most of your goalies are a older than my little guy) and what should be key training areas for youth goalies and what to avoid when training them
@@vexslayer great insights there. At his age, cultivating his love and fun with the game. I wouldn’t be too worried about complicated stuff. Work on goalie skating, starting to manage rebounds and getting the early stages of puckhandling started... but fun, fun, fun!!! If he loves it, all technical growth can come much later....i never skated until I was 10 and still made the NHL.. 😎
@@FutureProGoaltendingUSA very true he loves hockey he will go to a practice or a game and come home and its hockey in the house, garage or rink....never have to ask him to play and if he gets tired of the net he will take his gear off and work on his player skills... I make him take the odd practice and game as a player when they have another goalie his last game he scored 5 goals and when asked if he wants to be a player now he said " no I'm a goalie I just wanted to see if I could score on the older kids" Hes got the bug.. I'm gonna have to stop him from watching Travs videos hes 7 and asked for a lawnmower 3.0 for christmas

this guy is aggressive but controlled, no wasted movements, and quick and sharp like a cat. Not to mention intelligent. Exceptional awareness of the game around him. Excited to see more hopefully in the NHL.
I actually know Devon from a goalie camp I have attended for the past few years with Robb Tallas, goalie coach for the Florida Panthers. So it made a lot of sense that Devon was a Panthers' draft pick in this year's draft. From what I remember Devon was very mature and knew what he had to do to improve his game for the next level. It's awesome to see him playing in this tournament and I'm hoping he'll turn pro after his collegiate career concludes!

Excellent video. So here’s the question: After he put near record setting numbers in college, what would Devon Levi project to be? a.) Back-up NHL Goalie b.) Starting Goalie c.) Elite Starting Goalie d.) Franchise Starting Goalie. I’d say he’d be in the range between starting and elite, so will say that he’ll be a good starting goalie, maybe top 10-15 range.
A ton of record setting college goalies never pan out. He will be a decent starting goalie. There is a HUGE difference between the NHL and D1. Like a peewee hockey goalie would be to an OHL goalie……😎

Great breakdown. However, respectfully how do you decide to compare Levi to price? Like are you saying he has as much upside, or that he just plays like him? 2 very different things. Like what about Askarov who was playing in this exact game? Askarov is clearly the more athletic goalie, and quite frankly has been utterly dominating the KHL as an 18 year old, and would likely be a fairer comparison to price, in the sense of how young he is and the amount of upside he has. Im fairly sure he will shake out to be the top netminder this tournament. We’ll see
I only really compare the fact his face looks like Price at that age, and he plays a similar style. You will note in the video, I don’t predict in any way he will be as good as Carey Price...😎

Talked to all his teachers, and people around the rink. They ALL couldn’t speak highly enough about Price’s character. (And he was the calmest goalie I had ever scouted to that point...

The Russian goalie does have way more upside than Levi because of his athleticism, his height and his proven ability to play in the K

With the game against slovakia Russia really seems like they don’t got a offensive presence they have a good goalie and a good defence. I haven’t done must research on that team this is just my observation

Someone has to be but no one yet. As good and as worshiped as Price is he hasn’t really been able to overcome the team weakness in front him. Legends can do that. He has so far had a really good NHL career without getting the team over the hump. If you recall, when Price came out he was the next Patrick Roy and he has come no where close to that guy statistically or accolades wise.
Jrs last year we’re fucked from Covid but they won’t get devon (leaveye ) spelled Levi or anything like him even if last years world jrs went trew as normal

This tournament, this year especially, will be very hard to predict... There will be lots of injuries because of the spotty game experience during covid... it will create excitement because of the wild nature of what is likely coming
He has a decent body of work outside of this tournament but as I often say, even when you do get drafted to the NHL you still only have a 1/7 chance of really making it. Thanks for watching
The next Carey Price? That doesn't sound very confidence inspiring. Price is a shit goalie. Hasn't been able to get the Habs out of their division in the playoffs in over 8 years.
Did you know if you divide Price’s salary by the number of saves he makes in a season, you get approx. $5000/ save. Point taken.. he needs a big year with the Habs

I also coach down in South Florida and know Robbie. He loves Devon’s upside. After 4 years in NCAA he will be the real deal.

I was impressed with him as well... I will see how schedule works with me, but the Russian guy is the real deal..

The next Carey Price? That doesn't sound very confidence inspiring. Price is a shit goalie. Hasn't been able to get the Habs out of their division in the playoffs in over 8 years.
Did you know if you divide Price’s salary by the number of saves he makes in a season, you get approx. $5000/ save.
