Vilnius and Lithuania are both hidden gems - full of beautiful architecture, fun people, a progressive spirit, and most importantly, incredible food. In an age of really fast paced, short form content its nice to see a channel that lets the story telling, information and visuals captivate the audience instead of fast paced cuts and over the top presenters.
What a delight to watch and listen to someone who talks calmly, not shouts into a camera. Beautiful video.

I visited Vilnius for work in 2006, and have always wanted to go back, the people were wonderful, the place is beautiful and you’re so right about the food too. It’s time to visit again I think. What a special place and a great video to remind me of it. 👍

Another cracking video - thanks Alex. I went to Vilnius in November last year and I too fell in love with the place. The zeppelins are fantastic. When I go back I'lll have to try the soup. More videos please especially from the lesser known destinations. Kind regards

@@attachetravelI have a quick question, do you have any specific websites or sources you use when finding these special little gems such as this prison, that little community or the restaurant? Do you just spend hours on tripadvisor and reddit?
Great question. In this instance, the prison and many of the restaurants were recommendations from our friends at GoVilnius. The community is a place I'd been to many times before with friends. But more generally, we do a ton of research. From 25-30 resources over many weeks. Would you be interested in a video breaking down our research process?
@@attachetravel yes, absolutely! I like planning trips and I'm always looking for new places to look. I find that common websites such as Tripadvisor is ok for general stuff, but it's harder find those niche and interesting places that makes a trip fun

I've visited a nice handful of different countries in my lifetime, but unfortunately in my 40 years on this planet, the only thing I've ever learned about Lithuania is Hannibal Lecter is from there😄 Thanks for opening up my eyes to this country. I just might have to visit😊

It really is a treat, I love the stuff.
Food is 1000% the best way to get a gauge on a region. Come to my neck of the woods and try a donair or deep fried pepperoni and you'll understand why we have a life expectancy of like 34.

Actually just got back from Seville last week and while it's just crappy Cruzcampo everywhere, a nice crisp beer with fried bread or croquettes is unbeatable.
