I’m 14 years old and Skillet is truly an amazing group, I am not even Christian but this group is everything to me, I really wish I could go to a concert
I wanna get this out to the Skillet band. I discovered your band when I was about 9 years old and I'm 15 now. And I remembered the day that I begged my mom to get me a electric guitar because I was inspired by you guys to play the electric guitar and for my birthday 10th birthday she surprised me with an electric guitar. At a young age I wanted to learn how to play different types of instruments. But at the age of 13 years old I fell into depression. Feeling ignored, not being loved by my family, and feeling that they all hated me because of who I was. I felt like just ending it right there and then. But then I came across my old notebook that I chose to right down some of your bands songs in. I began looking through the pages and began reading the songs lyrics. And it somehow made me feel better. Listening to your guys' music has really impacted my life even till this day your music has always made me feel better. Even the time I was in depression listening to your guys'music is one of the reasons I'm still alive. I now want to start a band for my church and I think I'm gonna go with the very instrument that I was inspired to play the electric guitar. Although I only have one album of you guys (I only have the Comatose album) and never been to any of your guy's concerts. I love the Skillet band with a passion. You guys are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Woke Man Try Ashes Remain if you haven't already, especially their "What I've Become" album. They're Christian too (and have some really cool guitar solos).
RED, Thousand Foot Krutch, Ledger, Fight The Fury are a few good ones. You might have already checked in to most or all of these, but they were the ones that came to my mind off the top of my head as far as Christian bands go. Newsboys are good to though they are not a hardrock band so I don't know if they would be what you want. Flyleaf was really good! Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf has her own album now which is really good.
Woke Man try RED, one of my favorite bands ever! Also there are other great bands such as Disciple and TFK you should check out. They got good music as well. Some other random bands that are decent are Righteous vendetta and The letter black.

i was there that day. it was a truly incredible concert, my very first time seeing skillet live, one the best live band experiences ive ever had, the atmosphere was electric. also the drummer Jen Ledger's family was there as well and it was awesome to see how they got into to it so much as well, i was in the upper stands so i saw how they were rocking out :D It is one of the best days of my life it was that good!
You know what?, certain rock can think whatever they want to think, but I love this song and the music from this band so much, they uplift me, they give me that strength and power to move forward with my difficulties, and that's why this song means a lot to me, thanks Skillet
