As we prepare to hang up our archaeology tools for the last time, we take one more walk down crumbs memory lane during the fabled, long-awaited, highly-unanticipated Block 4 Part 2.
Yes, the Prodigal Block has returned at last as we sweep up the few remaining crumbs from Season 3 filming and lock in our final predictions for Episode 7 and 8 with mere hours to spare. We'll be scattering blue and yellow confetti in celebration of some very special nuptials, pondering the future with Eloise on the garden swings and stopping by the kitchens for a salaciously instructive installment of Baking with Legumes.
So join us as we wave goodbye to the years of waiting, reminisce over fandom days gone by and strain our eyesights one final time on this hallowed Part 2 eve.
Were they blurry? Yes, but they were our blurs. And they're about to get their happily ever after.

Its shocking how badly the writers and show runners bungled the story lines for the second half. Your predictions were much better than what we actually got😅

I'm gonna miss so much after today, Nic and Newt's insanity on their press tour, the anticipation and you guys.
And LW's last, "Goodbye" almost broke me.
I was very disappointed with the second part and was so excited after watching and obsessing over part one. Not enough Polin and Colin didn’t have any additional character development or end to his arc
The first half of this season was hands down the best of bridgerton yet. But, i am actually really let down by the editing choices for the second half. They cut so many polin scenes. Post whistledown reveal we have literally fifteen seconds of a four minute long pen and colin montage. That is the entirety of happy married polin we get. They skip ahead and no pregnant pen, no telling Colin she is pregnant, no writer colin and writer pen bonding, no happy married Colin. Rushed epilogue with surprise, babies! And a few throw away lines. Im so disappointed. They showed totally different episodes to Nicola and Luke (In addition to those that were sent screeners and those that attended screenings in person) which is why they kept saying this season was the spiciest yet; that we weren't ready for part two, they saw those episodes as they should have been. These are the scenes that are said to have been cut:
1 instead of packing pen off in a carriage to go home after he finds her outside the modiste the night before the wedding, Colin goes home with her. They argue and have an angry kissing scene.
2 pen and colon lying in bed together discussing publishing his manuscripts
3 Colin whispering sweet nothings to pen in front of the mirror, kissing her neck and being playful
4 a long intimate montage in episode eight including a scene of colin going down on pen - this montage is where the fifteen second clip of pen on top of colin in bed is ripped from.
I think a huge disservice was done to nic and luke this season. They acted their damn hearts out and you can see it in their performances that they really gave it everything. Truly, Nicola and luke are fantastic actors and i loved watching them bring these characters to life. However, to cut those scenes leaves Penelope and colin separated and unhappy a huge chunk of the season and gives us only a tiny sliver of what could have been - and frustratingly enough was already filmed, edited and produced and included in the episodes - showing them upset, yes, but working things through together. Not colin sleeping on the couch and freezing penelope out emotionally for forever. There is a petition for those original cuts to be released. Hopefully shondaland and the bridgerton show runners see how disappointed so many fans are and give us those screeners.

We need to make a petition to get the 4 minute saucy montage that was cut down to what 15 seconds?

I do hope they release the footage at some point, I feel like we the viewers really got cheated in this regard. I needed to see at least one fully happy/romantic Polin encounter after the LW reveal, this just felt tacked on and wasn't satisfying enough for me to feel good about their story.
It's a little crazy listening to this after seeing the last half of the season. 😅 Based on the first half of the season, all of these comments make sense and go along. I think the big thing that the writers forgot in the second half of the season (this isn't spoilers) is that Bridgerton is not just a romance but also a comedy. I really missed the comedic beats from the first half of the season.
Listening to y'all this morning before I begin watching. Not going to lie, I'm really anxious about diving into Part 2 so I think I will watch it from ep 1 and do the whole season. I've never had a tv show make me this anxious but I honestly think it is because all of the online negativity and fan wars.
Same for me I'm so anxious ! And the few reactions I found from the mirror scene seem weird too, all that keeps raising the anxiety.
I'm gonna remove myself from all social media and youtube because I don't want my watching experience to be deterredor lessened by anyone or anything
@@Almarilys YES! At this point, I think I will do a social media blackout for awhile. I am even considering starting my watch from season 1 to get the whole journey. I already suffer from horrible anxiety normally in real life and being online is making this whole thing overwhelming

Lack of Pen and romantic/spicy scenes. Upset Pen for so long. Sad Pen in her wedding night. Too much of Benedict and that lady and that man( i didn't bother to remember his name), i just skipped most of their parts.
Fran's story:/ is just completely ruined. It was such an unnecessary twist.
What is the most upsetting is that people throw accusations at others, of being rcst or hmphob*c. When in case it was so unnecessary and harming to the whole Michael/Fran storyline.
But the main complaint is lack of POLIN. At times, they felt not like main characters, but like supportive cast.
They are ky favourites and i am so upset
I still listened to spotify and this. I'm so happy that its 2 hrs long hehe, it is helping me with post part 2 withdrawal.
What a treat right before I can get into part 2! Thank you ladies for rushing to get this out just at the right time to enjoy a bit more speculation
Watched this while I'm at work waiting to watch part 2. These episodes have gotten me through the antagonising wait for Season 3. Really going to miss Nicola and Luke being the season leads, and will be sad too when it is over. Big thank you guys, you're absolute legends. Hope you enjoy part 2💖❤💖

Ladies! Where u at? I know we are all still Reeling of Elation & somewhat exasperated by some of it but, Please! I need ur take on all of it!?! PS: The last frame of Colin & Penelope for me was beyond compare.
We recorded a very long episode over the weekend so it may take some time to edit but we'll have an episode as soon as we're able!
Im disappointed with s3 and i hope this podcast can change my mind.
