    Very nice! I have been driving my 1978 Toyota hilux every day for 6 years now. I use it to haul all kinds of stuff and it's been all up and down the east coast.

      @@0hjaa3.06 California has strict emissions laws where they enforce a maximum parts per million on exhaust pollutants. Some Carbs allow more "pollutants" than others.

    Have any photos of the stock linkage connecting to the carb? I did the whole install but am having issues with the stock linkage fitting the Weber without binding. 1976 chinook

    Ohhh DAMN! Dat be a Chinook I spy next to your name? Man, I really want to get me a Sandtana.... or any of them shorty 70's Hilux (you know wassup with that sweet frontend on these 1st gen!). But can you get any good performance out of these 20R motors like how them old skool Yota street racers do their with their 18RG's and such?

      The Sandtana is really cool. Although even more rare than the Chinook. The 20R isn’t bad. The 22R was a little better but at 3,800lbs it’s pretty slow. I would love to swap in a 3.4L but alive decided to swap the camper to another chassis. I’m going to upload a chinook walk around video this week. 🍻

    Just wondering what route I should take with the pcv valve I see some people just put a breather filter on it an some trucks re route it with the adapter plate not sure exactly I wana do any advice?

      I’ve done just about everything. The two filters looked amazing. I had oil spraying at freeway speeds so I added the pcv back and ran one filter . It was much better but it would still happen occasionally. So I added an oil catch can and fixed the problem. Doesn’t look at good but the catch can looks cool I guess

      @@azorianification thank you for the reply we’re putting a completely rebuilt 22r back in my 1990 Toyota with the Webber carb an lce has an adapter plate to route the pcv back in the engine I think I’m just guna go that route.also I believe the Webber carb does not have a fuel return line I may be wrong we haven’t gotten to putting it together yet dropping the motor in this weekend

However I don’t want dirt an debris getting in there an clogging it is there something that you know up to cover it but still allow it to breathe? Thank In advance really appreciate you feed back👍

      I believe that was 62-1370 from LCE. It’s a K&N filter.

      Thanks. I’d still like to clean it up a bit more. When I bought it everything in the engine bay was spray painted black. It was horrible to work on.

    I have a 79 with that carb, electric fuel pump (stock) and it just overflows as soon as I turn on the key. Checked the float valve etc… any ideas? Thanks

      No gauge, it’s the dial type pressure regulator.

    What did you plug the hole under the air filter cover thing with? Mine came with a plastic 90* barb fitting but I don’t want to vent it to my valve cover as I have the 2 K&N filters

      I ran the K&N filters for a while but I started having issues with oil spraying on my valve cover on long drives. I replaced the filters with hoses to a catch can. I may install the 90s but cap them off unless I can find a better solution

    I also have a 20r on a 79 toyota pickup but my issue is that the fuel pump is next to the Windshield Wiper motor. Every week i start it and i need to manually suck the hose and reconnect quick to the carb.. i have bought 3 mr gasket fuel pumps and keep running to this issue . What is the proper way to install a fuel pump? And its also feeding from the tanks original line or ther still might be an old original fuel pump there!! Also do i need a fuel pressure regulator?

      A fuel pressure regulator was suggested with the new Weber carb. Is your fuel pump an aftermarket unit?

      Daily Night Society Yes a MrGasket pump and it stays on with the ignition switch and overflows my carb !! Any ideas on what to do??

      @@jessepacheco02 It's possible the previous owner added that in line pump because the one in the tank is bad. Have you thought about checking out the one in the tank? It would require dropping the fuel tank.

      It’s the easiest swap you can do if your truck had the 20r.

    Very nice. Is the throttle linkage all stock, or modified in any way? I have 1980 with 20R I will be putting a Weber on. Will need to adapt or replace the current throttle cable.

      I was able to use the stock throttle linkage. Took me a minute to figure out how to attach it but it works great now. 🍻

      The ground wire needed to be cleaned and reattached. Thankfully it was an easy fix. 🍻

      The silver thing is the aftermarket fuel pressure regulator. You need to set the fuel pressure when using a Weber carb. The plastic thing is a fuel filter. My fuel pump is located in the tank. Are you still running the stock carb?

      @@azorianification no I am not, I just bought an 89 22r that the previous owner did all this Mickey Mouse shit to it. Found out It has a China imitation Weber carb, I’ll just have to order a real Weber, found one from LCE engineering it has your set up.

      It was one I purchased at a local auto part store. I bought a few and swapped them out after a few miles while the old fuel and crud cycles through the fuel lines. Try to get one that is more see through. Helps to keep track on how dirty the filter is getting

      @@azorianification it’s not spitting enough gas. It use to do 3psi now it’s like barley putting out any gas at all. What kind of fuel pump are you using?

      That was my first thought. I did adjust the valves but it’s didn’t make a difference. The valves must have been adjusted recently

      I did the complete smog delete and it runs MUCH better now. A huge benefit was how clean the engine bay became. It’s a lot easier to work on the engine without all that equipment and hoses in the way. Do you have a 20r or 22r?

    awesome work! i have a 76 2WD long bed with A40 transmission. im finishing up almost the same setup. just dropped the engine in this weekend. how was the installation of the pacesetter header? im thinking about it now :)

      The A40 is the 4 speed, or the auto?
      The pacesetter was daily easy to install. I had to redo the wrap once because there was a section that rubbed in the frame rail. The clearance was tight, it it fits and looks great. 🍻

      @@juandlcgil They were inexpensive enough that I figured it was worth a try. If for some reason it didn't fit, I have a welder that could fix that.

      There isn’t a return line with this setup. There is a vapor line that runs down to the frame and just ends. I was confused when I first installed the Weber.

      The Weber 32/36 usually does not have a return line, or even a fitting in it for one. The stock Toyota return line system is actually a fuel vapor return line, not a liquid fuel return line.The Weber 32/36 usually does not have a return line, or even a fitting in it for one.

    Hey I just installed a 32/36 and de-smogged my 79 yota. Where did you run the fuel line return? I plugged mine, but notice yours has a hose connected. The one that goes back to the tank that the stock charcoal evap unit was connected to.

      Mine doesn’t have a return line. There was a mine that ran back under the cab but terminated in the frame. I believe it’s just for fuel vapors. Not sure but my setup didn’t require a return line. Have you started it?

      @@azorianification yeah she's running rich and I think it's because my fuel regulator is failing to keep pressure below 3psi, getting close to 6 when it's running. Not entirely sure if it's a bad regulator, gauge, or I need to add resistors to the after market electric in tank fuel pump. I plugged the return but not seeing a difference between plugged or unplugged.

      As far as I’m aware there is no need to run a return line on the Weber. I’ll have to take a closer look at my setup but from what I remember I eliminated the charcoal canister and the line terminates in the frame. It’s not a liquid fuel return line, it’s only vapor.

    Was the header a direct fit or did it need some massaging? I got an lcengineering header for my 78 chinook, and no way it would fit

    Will not having the PCV valve affect how the truck runs? On my 22R the hose goes from the valve cover into the carb. I figured it would affect how the carburetor works but your truck seemed to be running fine without it

      You’re correct that my engine ran fine without the PCV installed. However after a long trip at freeway speeds I ended up with oil al over the engine bay. Oil was coming out of that filter.

      I added a PCV back into the valve cover and kept the front filter. No more issues with oil spraying out of the valve cover filters. 🍻

      These are K&N filters. I bought them from LCE 🍻

      Thanks. At the moment I'm still running the OEM exhaust from the header back. I'm planning to replace everything from the header back soon. Still deciding on the exhaust diameter I'll go with.

      @@azorianification 22R in an 87 2wd 5 spd. I'm just about to upgrade to the dual row timing chain. I might install the Weber on the stock manifold (for now) until I get the 300.00$ for the Offenhauser.

      The coolant temp sensor location on my 20r was on the waterneck that connects to the hose attached to the radiator. On the passenger side of the engine

      One hose is from the PCV f the valve cover to the manifold, and the other is a coolant hose from the manifold

      Yeah I’m still using the in tank system for my fuel pump. I purchased a replacement pump from rock auto. Have you checked there?

      In the video the exhaust (beyond the header) is still the stock size. I’ve recently upgraded that to match the header pipe diameter. Sounds much better!
