Hi mate , I have a house worth $1.1million currently its got $250k in equity to spend .Am planning on purchasing either a Charcoal Chicken business or butcher which are making $25k to $30k revenue and $5k to $7k a week net profit after expenses .My question is it essy to get a business loan with house with that much equity.The businesses am looking at are around $300k to $500k asking price
If you’re looking to purchase an existing profitable business, you could get a SBA loan for 90% of the purchase price and you put 10% down. You will have to use some of the equity on the property as a guaranteed for the loan. That’s the short of it. Do you have experience running these types of businesses?

@@LeoLandaverde Hi Leo, I'm so sorry I totally missed your response. Yes that would be great! would love to hear your input. I'm actively in my learning stage. I've considered an online business given that I'll like it to be decentralized and not tie down and dependent on its local area, but I'm also open to a more traditional business. Regarding price range I have to stay realistic and would like to stay within 300K to 400K I don't see how I can get any higher than that given my experience. A lil more info on myself: I have a pretty decent paying job (75K to 85K per year) and started a small "business" about two years ago.. I quoted because it's literally a one man operation, which nets me an extra 20K to 25K per year so its a nice bonus for an extra 10hr per month or so. I have good savings and a good/fair credit. I feel like all this is great and given me a foundation for me to take the next step. I would love to set up a meeting with you, would love to get some guidance. Sorry for the Horribly long response =)

Guess what, that has changed. SBA rules change from time to time and the SBA just went through the biggest change in rules in 20 years. It just became much easier to own a business. Stay tuned.

what are young people like me supposed to do if they tryna elevate but don't have a net worth? work 30 years to have some net worth and then think of buying a business?
You don’t have to work 30 years to accumulate some net worth. You don’t really need huge net worth to buy a business. Most important things are good credit, 10% down payment and management experience.

There is no replacement for experience. Unless you can get exposure to management, you won’t have any experience in management which is gonna be an issue for the lender.
@@nnnnnnnnm948 - You can take a business management course and intern at the business you are interested in purchasing. When you are young and not established you need to think about how to increase your value beyond your age.
