Nah man. What you can interpret is that salaar is set in a very modern day world as compared to kgf. Because there are automatic guns and all. I mean you can see right that the world in this movie is much more in future than the world of kgf.
Now if we are seeing the actor playing garuda here then that means he is playing some other character in this movie because it cannot be garuda as garuda was killed by rocky in 1978 only right (kgf ch1)

He never liked what his father wrote at first. He will atleast change 30% of his father’s story. If he didn't did that then we wouldn't able to see Magadheera, Eega and Baahubali. And if Rajamouli had never made Baahubali 2 I don't think any big movie would get split the movie with risk
