Armored Core Nexus - Full Ending

- This is the full ending you get in Nexus when you complete the game (rather than select the final mission in the Free Mission menu).
It's worth clarifying that the final section of the video is unique in terms of Armored Core's history. In that...
1) You die fighting overwhelming odds.
2) You have no lock box to even try and defend yourself.
Many thought that Nexus was to be the last Armored Core game on the PlayStation 2 as a consequence of this rather morbid finale (though it wasn't and more games followed).
That's to add the 'hopelessness' to it. In Last Raven, all remaining ravens are present, and there are very few of them. After Nexus, the pilots won't exactly have much time (or reason) to 'retire,' seeing as how few of them are left. Regardless, given how morbid this ending was, one pilot's death seems negligible.
In the English version, the last thing she says is "We have to fight. It's our way.". It's right at the beginning of the last sequence...
that ending....
this game has my favorite ending
Yeah, this ending miffed me up. But then again, they never SHOW you dying, just getting the snot kicked out of you, but still, abit of a buzzkill after that last fight.
Actually, it's most likely and ( obviously ) some sort of hybrid between Nineball/Pulverizers.
So you've got a beef.
With an Armored Core game.
And it's about the game's story.
i kept replayin the game coz i thought i had gotten the bad ending.
For noobcola, The bots are suiside androids. Basicly... If you beat nineball, those things come out and you die from them as seen in video (The operator says its time blahblah this is our way*Basicly meaning fighting til end* )/ For everyone else, if you lose against nineball, you get a video of everyone battling eachother. (City with guns-a-blazin), and if you lose from the giant MT, Crest takes over the world.
Ah, so this is where Last Raven kicked off from. Nice vid.
A right-hand karasawa does exist and both the karasawa and the moonlight blade can only be acquired by unlocking them in the Revolution disc by finding them in a mission, performing special tasks in a mission, or simply completing a mission. In fact, you can unlock all of Stinger's parts and recreate his AC.
I know you made this comment ages ago, but in case you're still looking the intro song for Nexus is called 'Shining.' You can find it on daitrombe; just google that.
If you believe the Raven in Nexus is also the Raven in Last Raven, that's pretty much what happens.
truth. its about mech love and gameplay and mechs shooting and more mechs
I believe the canonical story is that the pilot died in the unmanned suicide bomb attack. I forget which AC site I found that on.
I'll beat you to the punch.
District 9. Aliens come to Earth. They live on Earth for a while. Oppression, slum, eviction, arms dealing, experimentation, action, genetics, more action, two of the aliens get on the mothership and go home. Possible sequel. Worth $6.
AC2: Mars. Ravens. Frighteners. Ravens get owned. Phobos is a weapon. Leos Klein is a cool guy. Ravens get unowned.
AA: ...do missions.
3: The Controller is malfunctioning. Bad crap happens. Blow up The Controller.
SL: At first, do missions. Learn what Silent Line is. Infiltrate, holy crap there's another Layered, destroy the computer.
Nexus: Navis monopolizes. Everybody hates Navis. Ancient technology. Planet gets raped.
Ninebreaker: TRAINING MODE
Okay, maybe this takes three comments.
@SongOfTheShadows It's called "Red Butterfly" off the AC:Nexus OST.
in my own custom story of AC, Impulse's pilot (Impulse being my AC from AC3-ACLR who replaces Jason) survived the attack from the suicide bots, but others presumed he was killed in action
in ACLR, he goes into hiding and changes his identity and names his AC Omega which later on became his own name that others called him
he dies sometime between ACLR and AC4 only to have Jason Tyler (Turbo's pilot from AC1-AC2AA) come back after being "reborn" by the Alliance (inspiration from Mass Effect 2)
agree, well thats what they were trying to do making it more generalized than for fans
thats probably the most fun armored cor moment ever. well, that and killing the frame rate with missiles. thats always fun.
@purplejim8 you make your own custom story? Neat. Me too, unless I begin from AC3.
If you beat the giant MT inside the sewers, it continues the story of the game. Just if you lose against it, you get a ending anyways. Trust me.... If you have problems with it now, have fun on Last Raven when you fight 3 of them at once and they fly. (Not that hard to me, got all endings in it but still... Fear Zinada in it for the last boss. Eh, don't think i spelled her name right but oh well)
Pretty sure Nineball isn't even part of the AC3 continuity. The appearance is probably just a homage.
you forgot that you aren't penalized for being overweight and also you don't overheat.
I used the laser canon. The one with only 10 ammo. Forgot the name. Even more cheaper than using pods.
thanks
You don't have to die in the final part, try jumping off the building when they start overwhelming you.
This Ending was so depressing, it ended on such a down note, the 2nd coming of the great destruction. After AC3 man finally migrates back up to the surface, then it is all destroyed..
Nineball activates the weapon that caused the great destruction. derp.
Duel snipers can make ur life easier....
FROM SOFTWARE eliminated the possibility for player to gain the human plus. They have them just because FROM wanted to make the game more difficult
QUESTION!!!!
Can you uplode data from any of the other Armored Core Games?
looks hard! im getting the game soon.
great video!
Nineball looks like a transformer here
@000UchihaItachi
i think genobee is stronger becuz he should come close the player for hit......this stupid MT stays too away and the player can miss his strikes... is hard to miss genobee's cannons from a close range
I love this mission, so far, I have beat it with only 2 machine guns and a light weight AC.
It gets easy after a while though...
I remember that quote the operator said has a deep meaning, but it's been a long time I played Nexus, so i forgot
...you can lock onto enemies, btw, just listen for the sound.
NEVERMIND I JUST DID IT!!!! TANKS FTW
Yeah, I suppose that works, but the slum and eviction deals are a bit important to the movie's social commentary, whereas with Armored Core...heck, I don't think I missed any important storyline details with that, because there are so few they're hard to miss.
Actually, I think I neglected to mention how awesome Genobee is.
But, regardless, Armored Core story is never spectacular, but it doesn't need it. It's too busy being fun to care about story.
wtf did i just saw. thats the ending, dodge red robot sperm for an eternity
That's what I said; you have no lock box (which is not the same as saying that you have no lock-on)..
Silent Line, though there were other linear weapons in the old PSone games but they functioned very differently.
I thought the unmanned bombs just weren't infinite in number. I don't think any amount of ACs could've really stopped the destruction. Given how fewer ACs were left in Last Raven, I'm betting a lot of them died trying though.
@JustAnotherPest So fucking true. I always enjoyed imagining that the story was deeper, but let's be honest: Playing a game from the POV of a mercenary that doesn't give a fuck means NO STORY
honestly I much prefer LR because of new parts, tuning versatility, less waiting to access the garage and less heat.
I freaked out when it said nineball on my english version... I really thought he was back again, but then when I found out he shows up as the AC from the nine breaker game cover in nine breaker... I knew the red MT was probaly a lost technology prototype pulverizer with out the melee
Armored Core games have NEVER had an impressive story. There's almost no point in worrying about the story in the series. Heck, I'll sum them all up in the next comment, maybe two.
AC: You're a mercenary. Murakumo hates everyone. RAGE AT NINE-BALL. Blow up a giant computer
PP: Phantasma Project. STINGER. Doomsday Organization. STINGER. STINGER. Phantasma STINGER.
MoA: You're ticked at Nine-Ball. Go through the Arena, exact revenge, learn that Nine-Ball is really some computer. Blow it up.
is it just me, or in every AC game, you have to whoop Nineball's ass...?
the only thing I don't like about that Nineball in particular is when he stops moving. which meanm he will shoot with every single weapon he has. (which scares me. hell, say Nineball and I'll just freak out)
It's like a prototype next in a way it seems.... all leading up to 4 and For Answer.
Umm, you can beat that part without dying. even though you have no HUD if you listen closely, you can here your ac locking onto the enemies, and they can be destroyed. keep destroying them and it will fade to black with your ac still alive.
yup! That one!
I kinda forgot what the unit was, since I have LR. I haven't played Nexus, but I can tell you that Last Raven will be a hard feat
Actually because he said 2 he's referring to the first game, you fight 3 in moa and then you fight Seraphe
By the way, try using Rifles with snipers or Bazooka. Although the FCS ox will be so small, it's pretty effective and strong. Micros doesn't seem to hit that prototype hard. Nymphe is better.
Since more AC games came after this, doesn't this pretty much mean that Raven was somehow able to survive that onslaught of enemies?
I love that mssion. I've actually lasted a fairly decent amount of time against the lost techs on top of Bayload. A good 1-3 minutes. Which wasn't easy.
Naaaahhh! Your not hopeless! Armored Core games are hard, and those Giant MTs (Leviathans i think they were called, Not positive), Fire against a low armored AC... God forbid, expecially in those sewers, no manuvers in there...
Aha.
Well, 4 and FA are the only ones that even do that(for the most part), and I don't think it was executed very well. However, having played several games before those, I'm kinda used to it. So basically, it just becomes a matter of lowering your standards for story. The gameplay makes up for it if you ask me. Especially in 4. Destroying the Ehrenberg and Exavil? Beautiful. Definitely landmark moments in the series. Especially Exavil.
I couldnt agree more, all though my friend seems to be immune to missles, out of every 150 shot at him, he gets hit by like, 4 or 5
--Actually, you can fight in this last part, against the falling drones. You can hear the lock on and use that to aim. I was disappointed, however, to see that the ending would always be the same regardless of how little ap you lose, unless you get destroyed completely before the demo. In which case it was a mission failure. Which is ridiculous as hell.
--Once again, the people who made AC were lazy and I wish I had the opportunity to make the game myself. -.-
Exactly.
I'm the "all around" type player when it comes to this game. and for that boss.. I ended up having to boost dodge with the machine guns to get him down.
no they dont, i handled all of the toughest acs with 1 or 2 snipers, the rate of fire may be slow, but it makes up for it by having extremely great accuracy, speed of round and long range
Theres an art to it. Once you get it, its easy.
Actually, the drones are pretty weak. I took them down by the hundreds and all I had was a coupla machine guns. Your weapons still lock, but the HUD is removed so you can't see it. I was just ticked that the game just slowly faded to black, though my ending was punctuated with constant gunfire. Still say Nexus was the best overall, despite the disappointing ending.
@JohnnyRazor69 oh well, at least im using my...*places hands over head* Imagination *creates rainbow*
Hold on, now let me get this straight.
You're complaining about story.
In regards to an Armored Core game.
It sort of does, corporations mess with ancient technology, accidently activates it, whole world is screwed. It feels incomplete to me as you're not really given a clear goal as the game is almost entirely the usual corporate warfare, they never elaborated on story on those games, it's not their focus, but most of the others make you feel like you're actually accomplishing something (freeing humans from a defective controller for example), whereas Nexus just ends there.
@IamVendetta95 Nope, looked like an early pulverizer based on Nineball designs
I heard there is a way to destroy some of the drones (well not all because they keep coming)... is this true? What does it take, 10 grenade launcher hits?
i was talking about the last several lines, from the start of the movie sequence, but thanks anyway
i didn't play nexus but from what i hear Jack-O was in there right if it is can you tell me who he is and i might i want to buy a PS2 and try it as i only play armored core on the PSP i completed SL all s rank Armored 3 sweet and crazy shit got most of it S rank for using PsP is nuts and lastly Last Raven got all S rank so i want to start trying some other Armored core on the PS2 but it will be hard to find in my country :D
well...because they hanged the story to last raven...who stopped the unmanned suicidal....jack 0??evangel??or...zinaida???
Wow this is the only ps2 Armored Core game that I actually beat. xD I need to go back and finish Silent Line as well as all the others... :O
actually nine breaker is before the eventos of nexus it tell you how the raven join the Rávena ark he or she after números of exercise and beating etzan nar then it was the true test the final confrontation vs nine ball replica after the jak-o tell you the you the enigma from the past and then youre the nine breaker
hated that last boss pain in the backside lol but didnt get the unmanned missle thingys
Yeah, I did the same thing, but my problem is the wierd things doesn't stop.I did it for 10 min but I got frustated, so i jump off to the sea and still had an ending.
the third last on PS2. Behind it is nine breaker, then last raven.
for The AC series its
AC3 --> Silent Line --> Nexus --> Nine Breaker --> Last Raven
Right?
i have been searching for 1 particular armored core for the ps1 which the last mission was u fight with 2 nineballs and then the Ravens Nest.. what is title?
Man, there is no way in hell, i could beat him in 30 seconds, only way i can beat any mission, is as a tank...due to the fact im all about heavy damage...
I like the ending to Nexus. It leaves a hole open for imagination on what could happen to the world next. Though, this ending has to be so frustrating to watch your AC and Raven die like that. I personally like to think that after the game ends, the Raven goes on to become a super badass, kills some more Ravens, then retires and lives on. This....however, is like watching a part of you die and never come back.
OverlordAntares yeah this one doesn't leave any ambiguity as to what happens as opposed to the other endings where you succeed and live on, it's very much like FROM SOFTWARE (they were mean before the souls games.) And it all leads up to last Raven
does anyone know the name of hte song for the nexus intro
shit u won that thing man fucken pro even i cant do win that guy
Anyone know the song that plays when you're getting pummeled to death by mass produced kamikaze bots?
Yeah, but it's a lot easier to do it to Armored Core.
IT'S NINE BALL FROM AC Number 1
In the Nexs series, why is it that our computer opponents gets Human plus enhancements and we don't?
i found this boss hard. Finallly i decided to be cheap and just kept shooting those weapon pods (i cant remmeber the name) at him while i hid. Cheap but it worked. ;D
it isnt.Nineball is just a mistranslation
it depends on the piloting skills dude, not the parts... most of the time
@rzNeedsABmw Armored Core Master of Arena. I did a video of the level you mentioned too:
3JNwp01VNhU
i really find that easy, just duel snipe, or grenade it it cant move so its a sitting duck just need to move from left to right and vice versa thats all to it
you do realise that, i nthe way you summarise things, EVERY game can be shortened to one or two sentences.
IOt've to be something else, I did the mission and it say we failed wen nine-ball is destroid.
So, I thought that we've to do in there is just leave Nine-ball and continue the trail where was the last locked door you saw.
man.. alot of the thing from this are in the original armored core 4 ps1.. like the energy bar and such...and yea nine-ball( a.k.a hustler 1) is from that one az well.... but idk wtf was happening in there... u killed him but then what happend ???!!!
I was a nub when I killed Nineball MT O_O!!! kinda a bummer at the end though but rather suitable for a Raven :) I am a raven fan but when I killed him I only used the pixe 10000 bullet type and Evangel's EOs makes it interesting
considering that you can keep your parts whet you transfer your file to last raven which would imply that it is the same raven
Nicholai Crawford or that there were copies left for in case something happens, The Raven just didn't think it would be this.
@@boxtank5288 for the portable versions which didn't have nexus, it's definitely the same raven since AC3. my head canon raven basically been in stasis/coma since the end of silent line and woke up before/at the beginning of Last Raven.
