He’s a great pick for more than just the fact of being a fantastic football player, he’s a fine young man with a great future, proud to have him represent us .
A few things here (some transcend the sports world):
1. Any sports fan (even if not a fan of Washington or the NFL) could appreciate the content of this video.
2. Always a great situation when the coach wants you on his team (also applies in general businesses).
3. Things can happen and change very quickly, so flexibility and prior preparation/anticipation is vital.

Wanted Chris olave for years. I was livid when we traded back and missed out on him. But instead we got Dotson Brob Howell and Turner. Although olave looks to be a beast I feel like we could have potentially build an offensive foundation with this trade back

i still want to know what was offered for the JDot pick, we know there were a couple offers for 19 just curious what they were...I am not a big fan of 1st round wr picks that arent fast big body men but JDot is starting to make me change my mind on him :P lets see what the young man does for us.

The last time Washington drafted a WR in the first round who amounted to anything and even played beyond 7 years in the league was Art Monk in 1980. It's not fair to compare any other Washington WR to Art Monk, but Washington's first round busts at wide receiver include Josh Doctson, Rod Gardner, Michael Westbrook, and Desmond Howard during that time.
I wish people would at least let the young guy put on a helmet before they start any Art Monk talk. Sometimes preseason translates, sometimes it doesn't. My experience is that approximately 0.013% of football fans can tell the difference. And he might get injured. Or apparently run over by a garbage truck. Don't dump all this stuff on him yet.
I was hoping to see a discussion on passing on Kyle Hamilton before trading back to add a WR. Or i guess they figure they keep spending draft picks on defense and its still bad, so why bother. I hope Dotson is productive. Can't remember the last WR that washington drafted high that produced.

Can't really tell that was the case. I think his dad was just surprised. I think no pundit had Dotson going that high. He was a mid 2nd-rounder after the combine and just kept climbing up the boards.

Could’ve had Chris Olave and Rivera wanted to look like a genius and trade back. Then traded back and could’ve still taken Pickens but instead we over reached on Dotson and spent a first round on a guy traded after a few years. Then the next year Rivera really ignored every draft analyst professional in the world and instead of taking the true dominant #1 CB Christian Gonzalez Rivera had to try and show he was smarter than everyone again and drafted Forbes. So glad Rivera gone but unfortunately his HORRIBLE drafts will still affect us for years to come smh. I cant knock him taking Chase Young, he was the best player available just busted. But then taking Davis, Dotson and Forbes that staff over reached on players in the first round 3 years in a row and left us with nothing to show for it smh.
