I truly believe Chris is one of the few artists that actually sound better live than on the studio version of his songs.

I'm a crazy old man that never gets tired of the string section, he's slowly evolving in America from being pigeonholed as a country singer. He is really an old soul as we say, he is always been a great blues singer and player, even put a bit of rhythm and blues in there. Not only is he ruling the country world now, but he's taking over the blues world as well.

He's the best singer we got in America. Chris sounds better live. He's amazing. A true American treasure.

THIS MAN IS JUST SO TOTALLY AWESOME. THERE IS NO ARGUMENT. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!! CS HAS IT ALL (SUPREME SONGWRITING ABILITY, SUPERB GUITAR PLAYING & UNBELIEVABLE OTHERWORLDLY VOCALS NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT HE HARMONIZES WITH THE BEST OF THEM). I happened across your channel and really enjoyed your reaction to "Cold". Chris is one of the few performers that is better live than on a recording which is rare in music. He is labeled as "country" but I find his music to be rooted in soul and blues. I look forward to more reactions since I have found your channel.

Really enjoyed your reaction to this live performance by Chris. As you have discovered, as good as Chris' studio recordings may be, his live performances are incredible. Enjoyed all you have reacted to. Also enjoyed ur reactions to Home Free and Angelina Jordan as well. Let me strongly recommend another artist as dont believe you have reacted to yet...Dimash Kudaibergen. He is an artist from Kazakhstan and has performed in 12+ languages (most phonetically). He plays 7 instruments. He is truly a singing phenom. At the age of 5, it was discovered he had perfect pitch. Both his parents are performers and teachers of music in his home country. Dimash has a master's in music and composition. He may have already completed his PhD as well. He has been touted as the greatest living singer with a vocal range of 6 octaves+. He highest note recorded being performed...D7...one note higher than the piano contains. Suggest u start with his 2017 performance of a difficult French song S.O.S. in an annual Chinese competition of professional singers I Am Singer. He opened the annual show viewed by over 1 billion and was his introduction to the world stage after winning several other competitions. Once you react to SOS strongly recommend u follow with Sinful Passion from 2018. He does a set of riffs after 3 belts that last 23-25 seconds on one breath near the end. After viewing the 2 performances, I guarantee you will be hooked and a lifelong fan. He has a huge catalog to chose from going fwd. Subscribed.

When he does it in concert, he doesn't have the strings, etc. ... more stripped down version. This arrangement is very much like the recorded version.

You should also check out Chris's work with the SteelDrivers. Adele covered this one on one of her albums. I'd call this soulful bluegrass. He is the writer and lead singer for them. th-cam.com/video/QAxEJ67MIH4/w-d-xo.html
