I never saw Jerry being angry at Kramer for taking food from his fridge, every day. I always felt that it was very goodhearted of Jerry 😄

Apparently Jerry Seinfeld really enjoyed cereal in real life. The first time Julia Louis-Dreyfus met him on the set, he was eating a bowl of the stuff.

Jerry is that friend who always had food on his fridge and never minded sharing everything he had in there, I don't recall a single time he refused something except for when Kramer prepared himself that turkey sandwich he didn't finished 😂😅 that's a very good and wholesome friend and it's never even brought up or mentioned ever in the whole series
It s brought up in that very episode. Kramer is to leep inventory and pay for what he eats. It's also indirectly addressed in the Bizarro Jerry episode. Elaine takes olives out of Kevin's fridge and he says "Ever hear of ASKING?".

thats what you call a push over, a door mat asking to be walked over. I think the only reason jerry never complained was that he knew without kramer, half his food would go bad. So is he really a good friend for enabling people to never go to the grocery store or is he a bad person for buying too much food. I mean look at the expired milk. How can milk be that bad in a place where everyone comes to eat? With all the cereal...no Jerry is probably a piece of....but good thing hes fictional, hed waste so much food, i feel that the tv show proves hes not a good person. Despite having a lovable personality.

It looks like Jerry doesn’t eat much considering he’s thin physique but buys food that doesn’t get all eaten, so you’d figure he has a bunch of food left over.

Kramer was living rent-free in Jerry's fridge.
This should have included when Jerry gets Kramer to keep a record of what he takes from the fridge so he can pay for it later. (Which never happens)
After declaring he doesn’t have “this kind of money” while reading Jerry’s bill for him, Kramer does get the money to pay Jerry back by selling Elaine’s bike to Newman for $50.

The fact that he never cared about taking his food was great proof that Jerry was doing great. Food costs are a big deal to most people.
And that he was truly generous. Even people who have more money than what they know to do with still get territorial about people eating their food, often more!

Kramer's character was so different in the earlier seasons.
When you think about the food situation, I understand why Kramer is always eating Jerry’s food.
Both of them are not fat guys and are quite genuinely thin guys. Jerry likely buys more food than he eats, so you’d figure he has enough food left over that Kramer can also eat which is likely not a lot considering kramer himself is pretty thin.
I’d wager a good amount of food is just sitting in the fridge due to them just snacking on things and choosing to eat out more often for their main meals.
What I always found odd was that Jerry had a fully stocked fridge and pantry yet he was always having all his meals at the diner or they would order in now and then, enough to know the Chinese delivery guy by name. Occasionally you saw Jerry have a bowl of cereal but at least to me it seemed like Kramer always made much more use of Jerry's kitchen ie: Making sausages, Jewish singles dinner, making his breakfast before heading off to work at Brandt-Leland, heating his clothes😁, and of course making full use of the fridge contents.
@@Sr.ChilePepper The thing is, Jerry is a comedian. Yeah, there's a lot of night life work, but I feel like when he essentially works from home (writing material), and has a bit if a compulsion about neatness, he'd probably make time to clean his fridge regularly.
However, he's gotta waste and replace a lot of food.
I think you're right, if he often has to worry about expiration dates he is certainly slow at going through his food.
@@lostskull7467 ...and Jerry being a neat freak would most likely have such an attitude about expiration dates. Just rotating the inventory would eat up a couple of hours a week.
Plus he goes out of town alot so Kramer taking food likely works out for both, less food gets wasted and a hungry friend is fed.

The episode where Jerry says to Kramer you haven't been out of the building in ten years, Jerry's apt looks very different from later episodes. No cereal boxes on shelf, color of cabinets is different. Different fridge. Even Kraner's hair is flatter. Different color couch. Must of been an earlier episode.

That was the first episode. I think they had a different vision for what Kramer would be. Sort of like how the office Michael Scott was originally overweight, selfish and wears a white dress shirt sort of like a used cars salesman. While season 2 Michael Scott was better looking, childlike innocence, and wears a dark blue suit that is more like a manager of an office.
