Awesome build and a very informative how to video..! I've always had problems with dioramas and this will help me get it straight! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
thanks mate, I am very glad you enjoyed it and found it useful to you, I hope to do a few more dios and vignettes throughout 2020! thanks and happy new year!
unfortunately I know very little about Soviet subjects, I quite like vallejo paints so least from that stand point they should be very easy to work with, but in regard to color accuracy ect I really can't say sorry
Cracking build Shane nice easy tutorial to follow. I'm doing something similar with my M10 fantastic work as normal will look forward to your next upload
Fantastic Shane!!!! Love your subjects and your details. Painting , weathering , I am a disabled Combat veteran , single father of 2 kids, this is "my time".....lol Inspirational work!!! Great subject dio as well. Question for you, please. Are you going to do builds, painting weathering on Mengs new M44A3 ?!?! Or RFM M4A3E8 ?!? Have you done one on Asukas M4A3E8? Anyway "Charlie Mike " with your work Spot on!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍😊
always happy to have servicemen and women in the community you guys are always most welcome! I think I will be giving Meng's M4A3 first as I have soft spot for VSS Shermans. Though I will add RFM's E8 to the stash at some point too :)
Thank you for your service and your sacrifice for our country Don. I have subscribed to your channel. I am a retired vet, but still doing contract work for the military in Ga.
Shane nice work just when I think I have a diorama planed I always see something to go in the to be build plans impressive most impressive let me pick your brain what color do you use to paint a tri-color M4 Sherman the tamiya kit says XF-64 that's too intense what would you suggest earth brown or a tan color ? thanks for your input and time stay the course Bruce
Cool build, but you should have made the Sherman either "moving" into or out of a crater, as if a Dragons Tooth was blown up either from demo charges or an aerial bomb, because the Dragons Teeth were designed as anti-tank barriers and were not spaced out enough for tracked or wheeled vehicles to pass.
There were roads going through the dragons teeth which this Sherman is passing through, though the allied demo'd parts of line this proved to be very inefficient
Shane Smyth - scale models , yep, I am aware of that. I really meant that it would have made it a bit more interesting with a crater there. It would have drawn in those looking at it, creating a story. Still a really good build though.
Beautiful result Shane.
thanks mate!
very good work and great idea of you, thanks for your video
thanks mate!

Nice work..as a tank vet, I love seeing tanks in a scene as opposed to just the model, stand alone
always happy to have tankies and tankers on the channel you guys are always must welcome here! thanks for your comment and support!
Liked that you showed the use of the Vallejo products. Very good tutorial Shane, thanks 👍
thanks mate, I quite like Vallejo stuff they make good products
Vallejo, Mig, AK, etc., they all make good products. Some of them are a cash grab though but I really like the Vallejo landscaping products.
Excellent tutorial Shane! Very classy little dio!
thanks mate glad you liked it !
Working on a Russian IS-2. Have you used the Vallejo Russian Green 4BO set ever? I am going to try it and was curious if you had any thoughts on it.
unfortunately I know very little about Soviet subjects, I quite like vallejo paints so least from that stand point they should be very easy to work with, but in regard to color accuracy ect I really can't say sorry
No worries, was just curious what I am getting myself in to.😏

Nice work Shane those dragons teeth worked out pretty good. Keep those brushes wet my friend!
thanks Scott was a nice warm up dio project now on to something a little more complex ;)
Cool, the D-Day one?
It looks awesome!
thanks!
very nice tutorial! + a good idea to show models in a little scene instead of just the plain model. :)
it can make a massive difference having a simple base
Really nice tutorial with really good looking results. Do you ever have problems with the balsa wood warping when painted?
nope never, I just paint the acrylic paint or spray right onto it without problems
Hello Shane never a dull moment with your posts how is your Rangers diorama coming along looking forward to a update All For One and One For All Bruce
just finished filming and editing the video now, but I've come down with a flu so it is difficult to do the voice over
Great stuff as usual Shane take care my friend 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 🐑😁✌
thanks mate glad you enjoyed it
Turned out great. If you do sue Clay you can prevent cracking with white glue when smoothing out.,
thanks mate,I've had some success with the clay PVA mix, but tend to prefer the ready mixed wall filler myself, though its all down to preference !
Amazing work, mate
cheers!
Nice work shane..... Keep it up...
thanks Norm!
Great tutorial, learned some tips, enjoyed it too 😊 ta Shane !
thanks mate

Right on , I salute you, being May memorial day is for those that gave all.
I salute you
Awesome diorama, just out of curiosity why does the Sherman have a grey front? Is it meant to be like a concrete add on for more protection?
yes indeed, later in the war some US tank units began adding concrete to their glacis plates for added protection
Shane Smyth - scale models thanks for the clarification and great diorama :)
excellent work!! one question.. how i can do the concret protection front your tank?
in this case, the concrete armor was a resin add on piece from DEF Models, also comes with a metal 76mm barrel too!
Very nice diorama sir
thank you!
Liked it already !
cheers mate!
Fantastic
thanks mate
Nice work!

depends on the camo scheme an earth brown is always a good bet, or a buff color for the sand camo areas
@@longlance67 Shane thanks it just so happens I have both.colors once again thanks stay the course Bruce
Superb
thank you!

perhaps in a later Sherman build we can explore diorama theme with broken ground :)
super cool
cheers mate
