I played against the ork warhorde at 2:32, all of his games went way over time and only the one against daemons finished round three. He only suffered a fifteen point penaltiy from his total score at the end of the tournament, however his scoring is not depressed its just that his scoring was just very low overall. The missing game is his game against the tyranid player (idk why its missing). Also he didnt run a 20 beast snaggaz he ran 20 ork boys.
@TacticalTortoise The guy was nice enough but mate it was not a good time competing against him. It's only the second 40k event that store has done so they didn't have chess clocks or penalties for slow play set as there was no need last time.
Was the 4th place daemon player and would just like to add a little info from the event. Just a little bit of contex it was the ork players first event of over 3 rounds. The rounds were only 2.5 hours and the 10pts for battle ready wasn't part of scoring.
That Bile list looks brutal. You could probably value each buff (1-2 of) at about 10-15pts per unit, so you're getting about 100-200pts of "better troops" value in most matches. Which kind-of makes Bile himelf free (or double free if he soaks wounds and gets revived). Considering he buffs himself and his bodyguard too, he's an absolute steal at 85pts in this detachment. (I'd be really tempted to try and fit Huron in there somehow. Whether it's just shuffling units around a bit, or taking them off the board, I think that'd do more than Cypher. +1OC helps too) ((Taking Cypher out, and the C.Lord out of a Rhino, and putting Helm of anti-deepstrike on him alongside 5 legionnaires, makes your home objective a lot safer than Cypher ever could. Or just Huron and some legionnaires, for 17OC and Possessed shuffles. That helm is amazing though, it turns off entire army's rules, or their gotcha Elite's. Cheaper and better than a bit more melee damage))
I personally am not a fan of cypher, his datasheet is fun but nothing to write home about, and I've tried out Nemesis claws before (with renegade raiders) and again found them a bad comparison to legionaires. I'm going to test a list out with 3 possessed 10 man squads and a MoP to further push movement, but if i find it to much i think, like you said, another 5 man legionnaire w lord and rhino is always Great. I find the helm a little matchup dependent tbh and more of a points filler
I just played a game with creations of bile with an emphasis on nemesis claws, raptors and warptalons and a term core it's a very blendie army. I managed to get +2 to move and had to reroll the +1 to hit at range and got +1 attack and boy does this thing slap. I pushed with cultists merely to take and hid my jump infantry for he first turn my chosen just pushing a flank with a full raptor block. Turn 2 everything just smacks into my opponent units are just melting to the warptalons and mass plasma the chosen touch 2 units they melt I knock out 1 character and consolidate into the next which a small squad of warptalons cut down to 3 wounds. I take the sides and the centre I lose my backfield as my cultists had been shot off and a deep striker took it. But I just withstand the counter attack with my chosen being -1 to hit and +1 toughness from the stratagems in this detachment, it's amazing having toughness 5 chosen but then going to toughness 6 the same goes for the terminators it's so good for some melee that peaks at strength 5. The Nightlords clean up what the raptors shoot and move on from. It's very nice to have advance and charge on warptalons it gives them so much more threat range and now they can just get in deep and pick on units, with the additional movement I rolled and the attacks they just go through the roof with damage and the optional stratagems like mutations for extra toughness it's a great unit to use in this detachment.
@TacticalTortoise It's basically a detachment about breaking things and with their abilities and this detachment you never have anyone get the drop on you.
@@TacticalTortoise I get it. It was just a wild list. 6 wave serpents 4 venoms 4 kabalites units giving wave serpents sticky yvraine a farseer 9 reaver bikes 5 mandrakes and 2 vypers is one funky list.
Was at that event, my mate was the ork player. Crazy that it was picked up by people checkin stats, we were there thinking it was just a large scale end of year local tourney. Might have put more thought and practice into my list if i knew this was the case.
The 5 Chosen. The tactic is to have them and the Nemesis Claw in one of the Rhinos, then when the time comes you charge the NC into an enemy unit, locking that unit out of being able to use strats, so the super-saiyan Lord and Chosen can come in and destroy whatever they touch. The 10 Chosen brick is led by Bile, because he (along with the detachment buff) makes them S5 and T6.
Nah TJ has gone through a big redemption arc He goes above and beyond to play cleanly now and even helps other players with recovering from high-profile misplays and community backlash You can watch plenty of games on my or other streams where he plays great games
@TacticalTortoise I like the guy but he's a relapsing cheater and a bad example for the community, in any case, he has the right to redeem himself but I have my doubts
If the terrain is all layout 1 or layout 7, Creations of Bile has a massive advantage there.
Also layout 8 but it depends on the deployment

Yeah I figured timing had something to do with it - that's usually the case when final scores are unnaturaly low
Hope the game was okay!

Yeah jump pack Infantry seem so sick in this detachment - supercharging the speed on already fast units makes em go absolutely nuts

If all 6 of that ork players games didn't go to time he needs at the least a yellow card
Yea those scores are looowwwww

I was really hoping to hear your thoughts on the Aeldari list that won the coastal cup GT... that list was WILD
Where can i find this?
Unfortunately I didn't cover events that weren't using the slate this week. 😢
What’s the list
@@ProxyHammer1 I'm assuming it was the coastal assault tournament listed on BCP, but I can't access the list since I don't pay for it

That last one! Damn! Well done that player!
I think it's funny, but under reported... that CoB argumentation apply to cyphers pistols melee profiles lol
mutant guns
You sure orks wasnt differential scoring?
Yep; WTC-format scoring scores players out of 20, and the other results each round had more normal scores out of 100 points
@TacticalTortoise yeah that is severly nuts idk
I wish I knew what units he attached that lord to
