The man's been accused of sexual assault, is being questioned on international television about it, understands how quick public opinions about him can change because of it, and is thinking about the implications it will have on his life. Whether the allegations are true or not, he's scared. The whole "he's scared because he's guilty" argument isn’t really an argument; an innocent person can be scared if they’re accused, as can a guilty person. If he’s guilty, he needs to own it and face the consequences.
Not convincing enough, he could have done better to try and display that the accusations weren't true. Just seems like someone who has been caught and crumbling at the sight of truth and implication. He has been in this business long enough and should have anticipated the questioning.
I can definitely understand that. You're right, it's certainly nothing like the accusations from Harvey's accusers. And in looking at it that way, I can definitely see how anything he says at this point could be an "atomic bomb" for him. I just hope, for his sake, that this all gets cleared up. It's one thing to lose an actor to drugs, death, etc, but when it's sexual allegations, it just leaves a bad taste. You look at that artists entire body of work you suddenly feel jaded, like all of the lessons you learned from that person are now tainted.
What a fan you must be to totally refute all accusations and leave him bare, innocent and untouched. Anyway i'm not willing to engage in futile back and forth behaviour. Hopefully the truth will prevail and the consequences manifest.
The only one that seems terrible is the one regarding violet. The other 4 about getting women to take their shirts off... let's be real here, there's not enough context to that. We don't know if it was just a joke or part of his films. He didn't force himself physically on those 4 women, from what I read.
You can see he's devastated that people he considered friends would turn on him like this. Yet he's smart enough to know not to defend himself, because the minute he does he will accused of being a power abuser and prove there point.
It becomes a catch-22 at that point. If you try to clarify what happened, even if it is completely true, then it's used by opinionated spin-journalist to claim that they are just making 'excuses'. The reality of this whole situation is that a girl deliberately targeted Franco to entrap him and use those few messages to try and bring his whole career down. It's a completely different situation than Bill Cosby who deliberately drugged women to sexually exploit them. Who is preying on who in this situation? It comes across more like the young girl on the other end of the phone.
David Butler but he openly says “I could defend myself but I believe in this movement so I’m holding back what I have to say.” That is manipulative. It’s like when people say “I have evidence that proves they’re wrong and I’m not guilty but I’m gonna take the high road and not use it, I just want to move on.” I hope people can see these things
In a sex scene (orgy scene) he pushed a way the women's vaginal prostates while simulating oral sx, he pushed a woman on the ground after she had to hit him in a scene, he got mad when no of the women present agreed on taking their shirts off for a scene. Those we're all things where not only the women where present but the director and rest of staff saw. Say what you want about him but I find it hard to believe that all these people made that up only to destroy his career.
Kevin Frimpong he was obviously uncomfortable, he didn’t have to but he knew it had to be asked, doesn’t make it any more or less comfortable to ask just cause he chose to ask it
Kevin Frimpong obviously it was possible for him not to ask but realistically he would have been massively criticised for that decision because it would seem like he was just ignoring allegations in order to help out a friend
I don't think that the women are completely lying, and I don't think that James Franco is completely guilty. Not everything is black and white, and I think that they all had different perspectives in the different events, but I feel that people are overlooking a very important aspect of these events: INTENT. We should not hang Franco out to dry, nor should we ignore what these women are saying. We don't know all of the circumstances of these situations or the mindsets of those involved, and it's very possible that James Franco was acting purely artistically and not in a manner of perversion. It is also possible that he's worked with many women that are comfortable with his workmanship which has blinded him to the fact that there are other women that are not comfortable in the same situations. The case with Violet Paley is of course different, but it was also the starting point of a consensual relationship. She says she was not comfortable with the act at that point in time of their relationship, but the fact that they entered into a consensual relationship points to the reality that she most likely displayed interest in James Franco sexually. He may have been jumping the gun by exposing himself in the back of a limo, but some people take less time to become sexual than others. There are plenty of women that move too fast in a relationship too, and I don't think it's a bad thing if the interest is on both sides and as long as it is not forced. I think that the women's Tweets should be used to advise men of uncomfortable situations to not put women in for the future, but I do not think that the information currently known should mar James Franco's character. If it comes out that his actions were more malicious than current information dictates, then lets mar him then. As Mark Twain said, “A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
Agent Pancakes for sure Jeremiah said that. I hope that if there are any remaining true sexual offenders that they step up voluntarily! I am glad James took the approach he did, it sucks though to see one of the funniest men alive now to be that serious but this is a serious issue!
Jeremiah James I couldn’t agree more with you but I find it suspicious that, if he had no wrong doings here, why hasn’t he personally reached out to her instead of just ‘letting it be’ ?
sometimes reaching out can be more harmful than good. He might in the future, but why poke at something that is obviously tender when he might not know the trigger points.
James is probably a womanizer and this makes him come out as inappropriate but I believe he is sincere in the fact that he did not use his power or did not realize he had some power to get perceived as harassing the person.
Leah Dijon so what if he had sex with a younger woman? does he force her or did you saw him to force her? Not all man are evil just as not woman are angels
+Kal Kent "Leah Dijon so what if he had sex with a younger woman? Does he force her or did you saw him to force her? Not all men are evil just as not woman are angels." You men are straight from hell. The bowels of the earth, the earth's own crust opened up and fire came out, and then men came up. Did I forget to say how dark it was outside and that the sky was filled with bats and the air smelled like sulfur?
Leah Dijon.....So are most guys in the world much older then Franco (in their 50-60) go after very young women (17-20 years old)…..that would make them 30-40 years older and they dont have ANY problem with that. In some Arabic, Muslim countries is very OK to marry and have sex with 12 years old girls for very old perves. Lets face it most guys doesnt matter how old they are, even if they are 100 and cant get it up anymore or even walk, still will perve on very young women.
I know it’s just because the spider man was such a big part of my childhood, but I have never been able to not see Harry Osborne when I see James Franco.
Facts: there are no charges or even accusations of assault being made against Franco. We have to come up with a very clear definition for what "sexual misconduct" is before we start trying to ruin people's careers over it
Anything sexual in nature that is unwanted, harassing, makes you uncomfortable, feel threatened, etc. And a person should really know the boundaries of what is appropriate, especially in the workplace. Treat women with respect. I think people wanting clearer definitions or worried they will get in trouble for anything are perhaps unwilling to change certain behaviors or recognize the problem at hand.
Well for starters, one doesn't need to be charged in court for their behaviour to be recognized as sexual misconduct. The majority of women who are sexually assaulted do not press charges because of the tendency of juries etc. to not believe them. And don't worry about Franco's career... he's made enough money already that if he doesn't want to he'll never have to act again. And if you listen to his response, it's pretty shady. Dodging questions and waffling like nobody's business.
People are now being heard which is great, but now instead of being undeniably shut down like they used to they are undeniably believed. You can tweet anything, doesn’t mean it’s necessarily true.
Amy Simpson it’s a lot of power when you think about it. Piss off some crazy person and they can essentially ruin your career. Obviously a lot of these allegations have been true though so it’s basically impossible to separate truth and bs.
deadhomelessbum I don't know if it's impossible. I just think people are scared of that grey area so they make an assumption and don't try to get to the bottom of it. It's easier if we have the conversations, because there are levels of misconduct, below Harvey Weinstein levels, where I think a lot of men and women and especially powerful and famous people need clear boundaries about what they can and can't do. That's not to diminish the crimes that do happen, but it's human beings who commit them, and I think people want to know very clearly where the law and where society draws the line. I think a lot of people think women are lying not just in situations where they're not lying at all and rape has happened, but in situations where poor communication has happened and a woman has wound up doing something they weren't comfortable with and wondering if they were coerced somewhere along the way. Sometimes they were sometimes they weren't, but this is how poor men and women can be at communicating with each other. I know there are a lot more different kinds of situations, and and it doesn't help when anybody muddies what happened in a given situation. I know sometimes women do lie about being assaulted, but we sort of need to get to the bottom of why that is too, and not just spit venom. But people want to make it black and white in situations where there's any nuance, and I kind of hate that. We need a solid vocabulary for all these things.
civil court cases are decided based on "balance of probability" not "beyond reasonable doubt" the stats on the number of women who have experienced sexual harassment v the stats on the number of men who have had false allegations made against them personally means that on the balance of probability these allegations are true. I'm still undecided on this case, but overall, I am going to believe the women over the men because the stats say they're the ones that are most likely telling the truth
Look how YOU and others treat women who come forward. It has been statistically proven (and common sense) that women don’t lie about these things! What is wrong with you?!
The key word here is "allegations". Anyone can accuse anyone of anything but don't jump to conclusions people. The fact that she's now removed the tweet doesn't help her case either...
But...but they're not the ones being accused of the crime , that's Franco, if you wanna make an argument for them go ahead but at least make some sense.
:S even more reason they're innocent until proven guilty! If someone is the victim of murder, they're not assumed to have manipulated & incited the the person who murdered them - until proven otherwise, so why is a victim here guilty of manipulation & deceptive actions to harm the perpetrator - until they prove otherwise? You're not making sense! Statistics here are VERY clear! EVERY woman on the planet has at numerous times in their life experienced sexual harassment! How many times have you been falsely accused of sexually harassing a woman in your life? On the balance of probability (which is the requirement for a ruling in a civil case) the statistics show that the woman is telling the truth & the man is lying (unless there is additional information to counter these stats in an individual case. In this case there's not, but rather there are multiple people supporting the women's claims & only 1 person who is not)
Yes they should both be treated equally, but in cases where that is not possible, just like with everything, the favouritism should go to where the statistics say the truth lies - and that's with the women. Just because men have got away with saying "oh but there's a 1 in 100 chance that a man might be disadvantaged, so 99 women must be required to suffer to ensure that one man is kept safe" for so many years, doesn't make it ok or something that is going to continue into the future! If there's a 99% chance that one side is right, that side is now considered right until proven otherwise - the way it should be!
Liam Murray yep they have I mean they just accused Stan Lee of the same damn thing, STAN FUCKING LEE ARE THEY FOR REAL HE JUST LOST HIS WIFE A COUPLE MONTHS AGO & HE'S BEING ACCUSED FOR WE ALL KNOW IS BULLSHIT! It's sad but at the end of the day Hollywood needs to clean up their act but leave Stan Lee out of this.
If he did it, would he come on this show in front of an audience? His movie is already over promoted he doesn’t need to risk his career for an appearance on the Seth Meyers show.
You have to be reallllly dumb (for lack of a better word) to think that needs to be stated. When did anyone ever say any accusation raised against a person is undeniably true? However, that does not mean all accusations should be immediately dismissed and that no attempt should be made to look into any matter of sexual assault.
Seth: "There were other people and different perspectives for things we experienced." James: [sharp, impressed nod] Internally, he's gotta be like "Those are the words I needed to say. Man I suck at this."
some body on Twitter of all places! It's like as if reporting to a local authority is 'old fashioned' or inappropriate. Then you have the blind heards of sheep following every account of sexual abuse with no inkling of research or questioning..
amanda I'm happy that being a woman you're concerned about this very serious issue. But please don't belittle women in general and yourself in particular by posting these kinds of comments. While the current empowerment of women is helping unveil the truth behind a lot of these people, you don't just label someone a pedophile based on deleted tweets from someone. I'm not saying that he is the epitome of gentlemanly behaviour. But I'll hold my judgement till a clearer picture is obtained.
He is the only one of the celebrities with allegations that actually had the balls to sit down IN PERSON and adress it without coming with some cheap half ass apology on a tweet.
Dude is brave, so he was sorta silent in his response because he respect thr movement of women speaking up against this stuff. He respects it so much he is not going to defend himself in a rush
I just don't see how, if he defends himself, it would affect the movement of women speaking up against this stuff. That just sounds pretty dubious to me. Perhaps he really thought it would help the movement; but I think that if you know your own career is going to be ruined by a few tweets, regardless of how much you support the movement, you'd try to defend yourself. It's probable that there are some half truths in the tweets, and James does not want to reach a definite conclusion or a stand on it. He doesn't know the best way forward.
I agree, by refuting he puts the spotlight on him instead of allowing other people who are victims from being heard. I think he is doing what he feels is right. Who knows if the claims against him are true or not, but at least he has the balls to appear on TV
I think that defending himself and proving them wrong, may discourage other women from speaking up regardless of whether or not his accusers are making false claims. Can be perceived as his word having more power or what not.
To those in the comments saying that James seems guilty just because he isn't outright denying these claims... just remember that our society is very sensitive especially on the topic of sexual allegations. If you're accused and you deny it, they'll say you're lying and you're victim blaming. If you don't say anything, people still assume you're guilty. As far as I've heard, there is literally zero proof other than the words of a few women that he's done something inappropriate. It's ridiculous that you can make a claim, whether it's true or not, without any proof, and ruin a persons career.
Trung Le There’s a great deal of hypocrisy in your comment. You won’t take “the words of a few women” but you’ll take the words of one man as fact? And sexual misconduct, abuse, rape cases are notoriously difficult to prove because often they leave no physical marks and are carried out in private places where there is no CCTV footage. There’s no incentive for these women to step forward. They do so at the risk of their careers/being blacklisted, they do so with full awareness of media scrutiny and social media abuse. The mistrust of women in this comment section is appalling.
for the sake of the movement, if i were falsely accused of harassment i would vehemently fight the liars, because we want to give the voice to real victims, not liars. franco is innocent until proven guilty, but his way of dealing with presumable fable is really cringing me out.
civil court criteria for guilt is "balance of probability" on the balance of probability, far more women experience sexual harassment than men experience false allegations against them, therefore, by court criteria on this case the woman is innocent until proven guilty, therefore the man is guilty until proven otherwise
Lilac Lizard that’s not how it works. In s court, the person being accused is innocent until proven guilty just as much as the victim is innocent until proven guilty. You talk about it like it’s only men sexually assaulting women when men also get sexually assaulted. We don’t just believe one person over the other without any evidence supporting said person . That’s not how the justice system works.
they gave one to casey affleck and his accusations were much more publicized. james certainly still has a chance-whether that’s morally right or wrong, though, I don’t know
WhereisZEMBLA woody allen and roman polanski are living proof that hollywood doesn’t care about victims or removing power from abusers. in the wake of harvey weinstein and the me too movement, actresses like meryl streep and kate winslet continue to praise and defend two proven abusers. kirk douglas, who had been accused of raping natalie wood, just received a standing ovation at the golden globes. james franco is being accused (emphasis on accused) of sexual misconduct. this will go away until they announce the oscar nominations with him on the list and then they’ll probably give it to him anyway, depending on whatever facts come to light by then. what sucks is that morally there is no right way to approach this situation. false accusations can ruin someone’s career, so he should remain innocent until proven guilty, but not believing victims results in the enabling of a vicious cycle. it’s complex and shitty for everyone involved
WhereisZEMBLA i totally see where you’re coming from and franco’s accusations are definitely not weinstein/spacey’s level! sexual misconduct is (in my opinion) something that you can redeem yourself from, which i think he’ll do. the world will forget because the public generally enjoys james franco, then he’ll probably be nominated at twitter will go crazy with anti-franco stuff, and he’ll still probably win considering the weak film year we’ve had. this story won’t gain the same sort of traction as spacey/weinstein, who will hopefully never work again, because sexual misconduct is not the same as assault/harassment. that’s sorta what i was trying to say when i compared them-i did a terrible job. EDIT: we also have to remember that social networks do not represent most of the general population. taylor swift, for example, is the most hated women on twitter-she just had the highest album first week sales of 2017. donald trump is most hated man on social media-he somehow became our president. bernie sanders was favored by twitter/tumblr, who both have a lot of users-he lost to Hillary. young people, social media users, usually tend to be more progressive than the older population. the academy is a bunch of old people who have probably done a lot worse than Franco. no matter how the Oscars choose to approach this, there will be a huge amount of social media criticism. i want to clarify that i’m not usually in the business of defending people who are accused of this stuff, but i just have a gut feeling about these accusations being more opportunistic than anything. he’s def a little bit of a creepy dude tho, that’s for sure. if more facts come out i will have no trouble dropping james franco from my life LOL
See this is how you do it right at the start awkward yes but it's good that he talked about it. He's not a monster, he's not a predator some people just wanted to ruin his career because he won a Golden Globe. That is all
"Do your research" Says someone that dindn't do it. Are you talking about the 17 year old girl that was flirting with him? Something that is legal in New York? You might not like it, but older men like young women same as older women like young men...
Bojan Babic Flirtling is not going to bed. Not even close is he on trial no? Is this in a court room? Is their more important things to discuss. Yes like Harvey Weinstein should go to court and spend the rest of his life In prison or electric chair same with Kevin Spacey. Those are examples of men who have used power to sexually abuse people. We need allies and James Franco is trying to be an allie but oh no he made a mistake he didn't break the law. He was wearing the pin. He got called out to be made an example and he might be ruined he might not be. But we'll see how this plays out. So in Conclusion stop being whiny about the men that actually want to help and don't throw them in front of the bus and say. Hey there is your fucking bus.
I agree to some extent and I do love James Franco but please let’s not forget that a few years ago he tried to get a 17 year old Scottish girl to come to his hotel room after she went to the theatre to see him in mice and men.
Hi Algiark, I would suppose his Lawyer told him to not publically admit guilt or he would lose his house, cars and what's left of his career. Its not like Men are being offered Immunity if they fess up and say they're sorry. You know, as great as this Me Too movement is for Women, a lot of men's lives are being destroyed for behavior that was not really considered all that bad just last year. Franco was just being a typical Hollywood Playboy, no worse than anybody else. Its nice that everyone is learning their Lesson, but do we really need to Put their Heads on Pikes and burn them alive?
How can he deny an accusation when they haven't given any details. Did you do that thing? What thing?! Need actual details, not just vague accusations.
Ok I am not a fan of James Franco and I support “me too” movement but according to what I read about the accusations on him (if they were ever true), that’s disgusting but also of the women willingly did that and now starting to act like they were forced I believe that’s something unfair about this whole thing. Unless you really didn’t want to do it and you were force to then it’s a bad thing. Alright wrap it up, ladies or men, if you willingly did that and now want to say you were forced then shame on you. If you were sexually abused without your will then shame on them.
I listened to the women. I listened good. Basically, they did things they NOW CLAIM to feel uncomfortable with, and blame him, because he's this guy they all didn't want to disappoint. That's it. And it's bullshit.
Agreed. It's all an attempt to ruin a mans career and life because things didn't go their way. Those text messages were also a clear case of entrapment.
Sokami Mashibe Well, no...don’t forget that the purpose of the movement wasn’t this. The atrocities committed were the start of everything, and #MeToo made some things better, but also made “victims” try to “out the perpetrators.
I don't know how you think you've informed yourself but you apparently haven't done it very throughouly In a sex scene (orgy scene) he pushed a way the women's vaginal prostates while simulating oral sx, he pushed a woman on the ground after she had to hit him in a scene, he got mad when no of the women present agreed on taking their shirts off for a scene. Those we're all things where not only the women where present but the director and rest of staff saw.
Recently, recordings came out with Amber Heard confessing that, yeah, she is the one who beat Johnny Depp, not the other way around and making fun of him, because no one would believe him. All of those people slamming Johnny Depp as the abuser shut up. No apologies, no back tracking. They just shut up and pretend they never attacked him at all.
I'm confused as to why some are shocked. Not about Franco(which is not surprising, has overtly flirtatious, not malicious though) but how many. Yes sexual assault happens everyday and many of us have done it and not known. Rather hide, apologize. Now if you raped someone, you need to go to prison, but if you slapped a girls butt or kissed on the cheek without asking, apologize, then change your behavior.
Everyone has Skeletons in their closet. Yet everyone on twitter acts like they live in a glass house. As someone who drives for uber/lyft I cannot believe how many people are verbally abusive to us drivers... male, female of all ages. I have been hit several times in the arm and been fondled and sexually harassed by only the women though. Just tonight a girl n the backseat began pulling on my long hair then asking if she could braid my hair as she ran her fingers through it... so imagine if a guy did this?? it'd be assault. here are far too many double standards in Hollywood.
It's NOT a double standard, it's more someone hitting on you. But if they grabbed you inappropriately, it didn't back off when told to, then that's the assault. Men are not as likely to back down from a woman pursuing them as women do men, nor are they as apt to report it. I also must say that though women do get aggressive with men, I don't think they're as apt to. But there point you're making is there's a double standard in Hollywood, but based on what? Your example is of women in your car. We're those people from Hollywood? If not then even though it exists, it is NOT Hollywood. And who's saying it's okay for them to do it? Nobody! It is NOT okay for ANYONE to force themselves in another person! And there have been men who've spoken out against other men who've assaulted them in Hollywood - Corey Feldman reported it happens to him, and that's also why Kevin Spacey lost his job, because Hollywood says it is NOT okay for men to be asualted either.
Newcastle Music Studios Also, I'm VERY sorry you've been treated that way!!! Punching is never okay, not is vernal abuse, or fondling! But are you saying some woman running her hand through your hair is sexual assault? It is not. It is hitting on you, a bit too forwardly, but still not groping. And I'm not saying it's alright, but that's hitting on you, not groping. And if you tell her to stop and she didn't, that's not alright either, and makes what she's doing even worse! But still not groping. But If she reaches down between your legs, that's groping for sure! And if you can stop her ahead of time, it's not getting, but an attempt to grope. If she stops, even though it's inappropriate to attempt, it's still only attempted. But you aren't groped unless she grabs your crotch. The reason I'm saying this is because there are much worse levels of assault, and I don't know what you've experienced, but as a woman who's been hit on by a lot of guys, I also know trying something and forcing something are two completely different things! Trying is just that, trying. Sometimes it's inappropriate, but it's still just trying. And forcing is never okay! It might seem similar, I'm guessing mainly if you've never experienced them both, but I have. And there difference is HUGE! One is a nuisance that just happens because people try to get sex and stuff and that just happens, but the other's an outright offense and completely wrong!
Beanie Green... Women by far have it much worse and men are more aggresive without question. I lived in los angeles for 5 years n worked n the movie/tv industry and from what I saw on a daily basis was both sexes offering business favors for sick n twisted sexual favors.... what I mean by a double standard is women call out men on it but when men say something no one seems to care... Not to mention growing up in foster care I constantly was sexually harassed and told I had to undress in front of women/foster moms etc I didnt know and was uncomfortable with nevertheless no one gave 2 fucks abput how mpst foster kids are treated. There are many boys and men who are abused and it gets overlooked... outside of hollywood the best example is probably the catholic church. I feel although there are far more female victims... the male victims to do not receive an adequate amount of representation in the media. There are several shelters for female victims to retreat to for things like domestic abuse.. yet for men there are are from what I last heard almost none. Another part of the double standard is women who may be aware another woman is beijg victimized or even introduces her to the Perpetrator is in fact conspiring in the Crime. As Seal called out Oprah via a pic on twitter where Oprah has some girl sandwhiched between her n Crazy Old Harvey Weinstein... anyway I am only to heighten awareness that both sides are perpetrating these things despite media representation that seems to single out men etc.
As a woman, regarding "perspectives"...if a guy catcalled or was inappropriate..it was uncomfortable. However, I also knew he wasn't a bad guy (typically), he was just a young guy doing what he thought was ok, I never took it personal. The only prob (90s, my experiences) is when you confronted them & they STILL did it. But for the most we just knew it was about them, not us, and we moved on. My BIGGEST memory in this vein is when a boy in high school kept grabbong at me & the female teacher did nothing. He was just a boy testing his boundaries....but she was an adult meant to establish those boundaries.
Wow. Now that is a rich experience one can learn something and discuss about. Man here. I guess a lot of women experience what you had. Testing the boundaries, yep you hit it in the nail. I see it simplistically --- if someone feels uncomfortable or violated with what another person does to him/her then the violator should be penalized. In due time this becomes inculcated into the values/culture of the society and the violating behavior is removed/changed. Thanks for sharing your vivid not so pleasant experience.
It was actually multiple people, and they probably did that because they thought that scummy people who use their position of power to manipulate others into performing sexual actions shouldn't be publicly praised.
For those wondering, James Franco admitted that the allegations were true. I was nervous to watch this because I admire Seth and was worried he might disappoint. So I'm glad that he kept the tone right, was critical enough, didn't defend Franco for the sake of making a guest comfortable. Good on him for addressing it and not being a 'not all men'/'my colleagues would never' type.
It's a sad day when late night hosts are the ones asking the hard hitting questions while "journalism" organizations are the ones going for the easy thrills.
Crazy reading the comments on this video from when it was first released especially after the news coming out this past week. This is coming from a guy who used to really like James Franco and his work, I think it’s weird that people are quick to take the side of an actor who we don’t know at all but superficially like and praise him for his response even though multiple women at that time had already come out against him but are otherwise fine accepting the women’s accusations.
Leah Dijon only girl he leveraged into doing ANYTHING for him was a young girl named Maryjane Watson. he’s different now and made amends with her. you can clearly tell he’s innocent and bitches are clout chasing. it’s sad that this is some women’s form of trying to relevant by ruining another mans life and career.
Some women will do anything for magic five minutes in the spotlight. Funny how these tweets came up as soon as he had won a Golden Globe right?!?! I feel bad for Franco, as these allegations have probably cost him the Oscar nomination...
It’s unfortunate that it’s such a difficult situation to judge. You don’t want to ignore the fact women get hurt. However you don’t also want to ignore the fact that some women have some dark motives. I remember when I was younger a girl made up a rumour about me raping her. We’d never slept together, we hung out at a party and I never spoke to her again. However I heard that she’d been telling people this awful story about me for months/years after the fact. I couldn’t wrap my head around why? To what end does this validate you as a person. What do you gain from this? Sympathy, empathy, a story to tell on a dark and gloomy night... still baffles me to this day. However it passed and although I often see her in the town we live in I try to forget about it... I try to chalk it up to the stupid lies some people tell to make people listen to them... and I walk on by with my head held up.
you're an idiot for just accepting those rumours. people like her should be in jail... these things are serious and ruin peoples lives more than most rapes would. that word has such impact in the current generation that people rather worry about a rape that was concensual but afterwards it wasn't, more than a murded or a assault that left the victim permanent damaged both physically and mentally. prioritizing like this really shows that humans are scum that never deserved to inherit earth. in my country a guy who stabbed his 2 children and threw them off a balcony got 2 years. while "minor" rapes almost always give double that amount.
Chris D James Franco is one of my favorite actors, yes! But I do not idolize him, it is just sad to see him put himself in this predicament. Also, I don’t know you if you identify yourself as a moron and assume others are as well, but that’s not how it works. But thank you for letting me know what you are, I can respect that.
Adrian - There is no good response to name-calling other than to throw it back. You did that gracefully. I think it's sad that people like Chris D, who don't have very good debate skills, start with name calling because they can't think of anything smart to say. Unfortunately TH-cam is full of people like him. Though I am impressed that he is able to string a sentence together. Also wondering how his teacher gave him access to a computer during nap time.
Seth is a really good interviewer! He asked insightful questions that probed for more details and explanation without being accusatory or reactive. Well done.
Um...what planet do you live in? People DO make false accusations when really bitter. i saw it in highschool, in college, and I STILL see it in the workplace.
If she wanted to go public without wanting to speak to James first, then he doesn't have to speak to her to reconcile with her. She was the one who decided not to first resolve a possible misunderstanding they had in the past.
Liked the way Franco conducted himself during this interview, completely confident with his stance on the issue but not so confident as to appear arrogant, bravo 👏
Canceling a person just because of some wild allegations?? And they extremely mild. The things i've read are: 1) he pushed a girl in the show "Freaks and geeks" who played his girlfriend when he was 19. It was improv and she touched or slapped his arm in some way and he screamed "Never touch me again" and pushed her. I'll admit its not right but she should've told him beforehand+ maybe he had a traumatic experience? He apologized btw.. 2) he was giving acting lessons and at one point you also have to exercise sex-scenes. Look at Game of Thrones, spartacus or the Wolf of Wall street. Sex is omnipresent and i'm sure most actors have played or will play some sex scenes. The girls he teached (who willingly signed a contract) said afterwards it went beyond the "industry norm". Very unclear but one thing is certain: none of the sex scenes are comfortamble for anyone but if you think it goes too far, you just stop. They didnt say anything but complained afterwards. 3) he directed movies and one had some sex scenes in it (OMG it must be the first movie with nudity). After that they complained the compensation was not worth the work. They signed a contract and were able to work with a very famous actor. 4) he wrote with a 17 year old and invited her to his hotel. A grey area in my eyes because a lot of modern and civilized countries like Germany or France allow men to have relations with girls up to 16 year old. As long as they dont have a special bond like teacher-student or trainer-player. Why should Franco be penalized if she turns 18 in a couple days? I don't think that he did something wrong here 5) some women said he gave them a weird vibe. Like what? Aubrey plaza gives me a weird vibe. Will i spread some false rumors about her? To summarize: Except pushing a girl when he was 19 (who should've consulted him beforehand) HE is the victim of diabolical and twisted women who will say anything to further their "career". No proof, no explanation just nothing. Reminds me of the countless cases where women accuse an innocent man of rape and when the truth comes out they get a slap on the wrist. If I were him I'd film and monitor everything around my house to always have proof, because you can never trust them...
They get a overview of the topics he going to talk about before hand so he had to approve it before hand it not like the news talk shows give you a heads up
All talk shows have a pre-interview where they discuss all the topics together and decide what will air and be shown to the world before they actually do the “real” interview
Too bad he won’t be in Dr. Strange 2 or Spider-Man 3. He was definitely that dude that made the show along with Toby McGuire. MCU has literally invited all past snd former superhero actors to do cameos in their movies lol
I have to say, he speaks like a politician where he says a lot without substance. The fact that he looks away or down as he speaks shows he is being really cautious which means he is really lying. He should definitely run for office. He will win because most of us Americans have been dumbed down. Look who is leading us
Thank you, Seth Meyers, for asking these questions. I don't think James Franco handled this very well, but I hope he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
I commend you for bringing this discussion to your show Seth, and I hope more people in your business will follow suit. I love how you didn't go too easy on him.
It sickens me that he even has to defend himself. The alleged sexual misconduct was nothing more than a nude scene in which she signed a contract agreeing to be in, and got paid for. James Just happened to be the director. She is just seeking attention and sympathy.
"I believe that we should listen to the victims of sexual abuse SO MUCH that I'm not going to refute the accusations that I'm a serial sex abuser" is quite the take, honestly.
Huge fan of James Franco’s WORK. “This is the End” is one of my favorite movies. We went and saw “Sausage Party” for my bday and I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Same with Louis CK. Funny, Uber talented guys. But we gotta remember these guys get paid to act like someone they’re not. They’re just people - total strangers to most of us. People who make huge, f’d up mistakes, who can and do use their fame and fortune to influence others.
A lot of people need to grow up. The whole point of gaining power is using it to get what you want. Men have always, and will always use power to get sex. That's how they are designed.
Sam Coates Not all men have to use power to have sex. If the only thing you’ve got going for you is wealth and power, you’re lacking a lot and sex will never fill the void.
blake sanchenuss yeah, I think you’re having a reading comprehension issue. I’m saying that people tend to trust celebrities and discount sexual abuse accusations because of some idea that these celebrities are who they appear to be on screen, that people forget these are people who are paid to pretend to be someone they’re not. Get it now?
He did say he won't defend himself "because he respects the movement alot" so can be he has no other option and just trying to save some reputation or hes thinking smart
Truth does not eventually come. People come to a consensus which is not the same. And by all this comment section the consensus is he is okey actually, and ignoring all the reports, truth is not as easy to find, many times something is true that you will never find any proof for it. People like actor people defend actor till its gone and there is no real aftermath, while continuously spreading fearmongery about false acusations, and how they eventually come for all, this awful women. So that we continue to never believe in the basis of what if Im the next, and keep choosing the consensus of not guilty. It happens even with the ones that are proven guilty, and they will ask "is there no forgiveness.
That is what is called a true gentleman.. Mr James Franco my respect to you, even if you did it or not that is a separate issue that i am not trying to deny could had occurred or not, what i am recognizing here and applauding from you is the gesture of showing that is ok for this type of news to be public, it is ok to talk about it, what is not ok is jumping on the scandal wagon and scream bloody hell without thinking on the consequences that this allegations will bring not only for the victims and perpetrators but to the innocents at home. It is ok to stop it, as long as there is no more collateral damage. All parts of the story need to be heard in order to have all the details of what happened. Mr. Franco again my respects to you for not jumping on the scandal wagon and for showing the world how a true gentleman answer when he is questioned about his intimacy and love life. Trully your mother and grandmother should be very proud of you sir.
lovely it's a hard time for the world now, we are all going through a dark phase but we can only win this war over this pandemic if we stand together, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep practicing self hygiene and wash your hands and keep supporting my career we will bounce back strong #staysafe #stayhome.
Can we please call out what exactly Sexual Assault is before this becomes a joke. If a man touches you inappropriately and you say. "That's inappropriate dont do that again" and he does it again That's assault. If a man whistles at you and jokingly says "looking good" and walks away and you are like "I gave him no permission to that, That's not a compliment to me" but its a compliment to him! Its perceived differently. You have to understand that. If there is no line drawn in your relationship, someone cannot guess what you may or may not take offence to. Obviously there are default lines everybody knows not to cross but for other instances please speak out. Then there's not of this. "False accusation"..."how were we suppose to know" its a simple "I told him not to and he did it again" even if its as simple as a hug. James thought he had a great relationship with this person and from his perspective it might have been so but she could've found some things he did inappropriate and said nothing at the time. If I had a lets say "flirtatious relationship" with my co worker and she reciprocated it or seemed fine with it. Only for me to find out years later it made her uncomfortable, I would feel terrible but also confused as to why she never brought it up. Speak out ladies. Draw the line. You'll be surprised how many guys perceive thing differently and every women is different. Some dont mind. Some are just as playful, friendly & touchy with both genders. Gotta let people know if something makes you uncomfortable.
stigma oftheripper2 Me : "Obviously there are default lines everybody knows not to cross.." You: "WhaT DruGs ArE yOu oN" And yes there are some guys who think whistling at a women is a compliment because there's not enough women or men in there lives who have this conversation and thought them otherwise so my point is it needs to be addressed instead of people assuming everybody should know the right & wrong way to compliment a women.
Val Kilmer? Sexual harassment can be just saying "damn girl" to a woman on the street. This causes alarm and annoyance. Hence it is criminal sexual harassment. Cry more about that free speech
I’ve never seen James Franco so serious in my entire life 😂
DAY KON you knew him
Yep
DAY KON he's furious and not guilty so?
Watch the Spider-Man films...
Alexander Hamilton howd you like that spidey
Crazy, this is 3 years old and I never heard ANYTHING about this.
Yes the #metoo started in 2017. I remember all hell broke lose.
Sameeeeee its crazy!
He has amassed quite a record now. Very lengthy sexual harassment section on his Wikipedia page. Def a serial offender
YOU TOO?!
I didn’t know who he was until now
The man's been accused of sexual assault, is being questioned on international television about it, understands how quick public opinions about him can change because of it, and is thinking about the implications it will have on his life. Whether the allegations are true or not, he's scared. The whole "he's scared because he's guilty" argument isn’t really an argument; an innocent person can be scared if they’re accused, as can a guilty person. If he’s guilty, he needs to own it and face the consequences.
Or he can be guilty and feeling like the allegations will ruin his career. No one truly knows. This is basically a guessing game.
This is the only guy who played Harry osborn perfectly
We now understand why
"I'm ruined! I've nothing left
Except spiderman"
Dumb comment. He was trash in those.
Should have play spider man he got the same built as Andreaw Garfield and hair .
I did not hit her, I did not!!
Oh Hai James
Oh Hi Mark
This is the best thing I’ve read all day
DoctorDoctor hahahahahaha
I can’t! Hahaha!! That was too good!👆🏽
*OH HI, CONTROVERSY*
HAHA What a comment, Ellis
Hi spammer
Anyways how is your sex life?
FTFY: OH HI,CONTROVERSY
Hi doggie.
It’s bullshit, he did not force her, he did noooot. Oh, Hai Seth
You are tearing me apart, Ally Sheedy!
Good One!
He's so fucking smug and a total asshole from what we can actually see. DOn't need him to be a sexual assaulter to dislike him
tbd I met him when he filmed an upcoming movie at my college and he’s a dick.
haha whatastory
@@chloehammond2836 what do you mean?
In a sex scene (orgy scene) he pushed a way the women's vaginal prostates while simulating oral sx, he pushed a woman on the ground after she had to hit him in a scene, he got mad when no of the women present agreed on taking their shirts off for a scene. Those we're all things where not only the women where present but the director and rest of staff saw. Say what you want about him but I find it hard to believe that all these people made that up only to destroy his career.
@@harleyquiinnnn false
you can tell seth is uncomfortable having to ask these questions
sumguy8 damn right
Nah, he didn't have to ask those questions if he didn't want to, it's his show and he knew doing that to James Franco would boost his ratings.
Kevin Frimpong he was obviously uncomfortable, he didn’t have to but he knew it had to be asked, doesn’t make it any more or less comfortable to ask just cause he chose to ask it
@@maplelu9514 it didn't have to be asked, he could have kept the interview nice and light hearted.
Kevin Frimpong obviously it was possible for him not to ask but realistically he would have been massively criticised for that decision because it would seem like he was just ignoring allegations in order to help out a friend
I am not prepared to live in a world where James Franco isn’t an actor
James Franco is my favorite modern American actor.
My world will be more dull and unrelatable without Louis CK.
Pack your episodes of Freaks and Geeks and The Deuce and hide em away before they come for you.
Milo O'Rourke FACTS 🙌🏽
Hope Seth Rogen isnt into this
I don't think that the women are completely lying, and I don't think that James Franco is completely guilty.
Jeremiah James one of the more logical views to sexual assault and also just very well said.
Easily the best response to this ongoing situation i have seen. Impressed to see it on youtube also
James is probably a womanizer and this makes him come out as inappropriate but I believe he is sincere in the fact that he did not use his power or did not realize he had some power to get perceived as harassing the person.
Leah Dijon so what if he had sex with a younger woman? does he force her or did you saw him to force her? Not all man are evil just as not woman are angels
Sounds like bullshit to me @Leah Dijon
+Kal Kent "Leah Dijon so what if he had sex with a younger woman? Does he force her or did you saw him to force her? Not all men are evil just as not woman are angels."
You men are straight from hell. The bowels of the earth, the earth's own crust opened up and fire came out, and then men came up. Did I forget to say how dark it was outside and that the sky was filled with bats and the air smelled like sulfur?
I'm being stalked right now what are you high on?
Aidan Yelsma your pfp is fye
Aidan Yelsma same. I love osborn
Wow. I didn't notice they were the same. o_o

Aidan Yelsma hi rick
Facts: there are no charges or even accusations of assault being made against Franco. We have to come up with a very clear definition for what "sexual misconduct" is before we start trying to ruin people's careers over it
Anything sexual in nature that is unwanted, harassing, makes you uncomfortable, feel threatened, etc. And a person should really know the boundaries of what is appropriate, especially in the workplace. Treat women with respect. I think people wanting clearer definitions or worried they will get in trouble for anything are perhaps unwilling to change certain behaviors or recognize the problem at hand.
Your comment makes me uncomfortable, you should be arrested and have your career ruined!
IIIIII LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU JEEEEESUS CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIST
@Patsy Honestly, every single human being on the planet faces that sort of a situation at some point in their lives, regardless of gender.
I mean, he did get busted hitting on a high schooler when he was 35 years old. And it was very well documented. Normal 35 yo men do not do that.
civil court cases are decided based on "balance of probability" not "beyond reasonable doubt" the stats on the number of women who have experienced sexual harassment v the stats on the number of men who have had false allegations made against them personally means that on the balance of probability these allegations are true.
I'm still undecided on this case, but overall, I am going to believe the women over the men because the stats say they're the ones that are most likely telling the truth
Look how YOU and others treat women who come forward. It has been statistically proven (and common sense) that women don’t lie about these things! What is wrong with you?!
*James franco after seeing the allegations:* "I'm ruined! I've nothing left
Except spiderman"
LOL 🤣🤣🤣 omg that was great.
The key word here is "allegations". Anyone can accuse anyone of anything but don't jump to conclusions people. The fact that she's now removed the tweet doesn't help her case either...
Sonny Etchell yeah it’s not like people like you don’t treat women who come forward horribly. Weird. 🙄
The women are innocent unless proven guilty & they deserve to be treated as such!
Did America forget innocent before proven guilty?
ProjectFlashlight612 Feeling upset because race isn’t the issue?
There are literally thousands of other videos you could be commenting on.
Presumption of innocence is a legal right in criminal trials. This is not a courtroom.

Love it, absolutely true
Accused DOES NOT mean it’s true.
The Man this one does.
If he did it, would he come on this show in front of an audience? His movie is already over promoted he doesn’t need to risk his career for an appearance on the Seth Meyers show.
Nope. It doesn't.
You have to be reallllly dumb (for lack of a better word) to think that needs to be stated. When did anyone ever say any accusation raised against a person is undeniably true? However, that does not mean all accusations should be immediately dismissed and that no attempt should be made to look into any matter of sexual assault.

Steph I IKR? And they wonder why people are becoming sceptical of this "metoo" movement? Vague allegations on twitter =/= rape of minors.
some body on Twitter of all places!
James Franco is bisexual
He is the only one of the celebrities with allegations that actually had the balls to sit down IN PERSON and adress it without coming with some cheap half ass apology on a tweet.
😂
I don't believe he did this
Michaela Marie maybe he did .Its hard to tell the truth
Greyson Wayne nope I stand by him
Michaela Marie and if he did it?
Greyson Wayne He didn't. You have your opinion and I have mine.
Michaela Marie Its not an opinion..its a question. What would you do if he did it?
Dude is brave, so he was sorta silent in his response because he respect thr movement of women speaking up against this stuff. He respects it so much he is not going to defend himself in a rush
Thats pretty dumb

Simple solution, don't read them🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
To those in the comments saying that James seems guilty just because he isn't outright denying these claims... just remember that our society is very sensitive especially on the topic of sexual allegations.
If youre accused and you deny your case becomes a he said she said and they usually take the accused word and the victim doesn't get anything
@@ohwellwhateverr Is it women in general? Or is it that in this case, the women accusing him aren't credible?
A few women not just one is alot of proof you know
@@ohwellwhateverr this is why if I was abused or rape I would keep quite. Too go through that and then have men say you are lying hurts to much
for the sake of the movement, if i were falsely accused of harassment i would vehemently fight the liars, because we want to give the voice to real victims, not liars. franco is innocent until proven guilty, but his way of dealing with presumable fable is really cringing me out.
Does "Listen and believe", not cringe you out?
I totally agree
civil court criteria for guilt is "balance of probability" on the balance of probability, far more women experience sexual harassment than men experience false allegations against them, therefore, by court criteria on this case the woman is innocent until proven guilty, therefore the man is guilty until proven otherwise
I feel like he just docent want to speak about these allegations until he's actually talked to these women and hear there side of the story.
Rape/Sexual Harassment is horrible.
But it still needs to be proven.
(Not just blindly believed)
Because false accusations are horrible, too.
Wow.
No one ever accused him of rape lol just sexual misconduct
It’s sad because prior to all of this, true or not, I really thought this would be his year to win an Oscar. Now, I’m not so sure that’ll happen
they gave one to casey affleck and his accusations were much more publicized. james certainly still has a chance-whether that’s morally right or wrong, though, I don’t know
WhereisZEMBLA woody allen and roman polanski are living proof that hollywood doesn’t care about victims or removing power from abusers. in the wake of harvey weinstein and the me too movement, actresses like meryl streep and kate winslet continue to praise and defend two proven abusers. kirk douglas, who had been accused of raping natalie wood, just received a standing ovation at the golden globes.
james franco is being accused (emphasis on accused) of sexual misconduct. this will go away until they announce the oscar nominations with him on the list and then they’ll probably give it to him anyway, depending on whatever facts come to light by then.
what sucks is that morally there is no right way to approach this situation. false accusations can ruin someone’s career, so he should remain innocent until proven guilty, but not believing victims results in the enabling of a vicious cycle. it’s complex and shitty for everyone involved
He doesn’t deserve it anyway! Yeah sure this is why he won’t win the Oscar and not the fact that he sucks.
Roman Polanski got an Oscar and he was guilty of being a pedophile.
See this is how you do it right at the start awkward yes but it's good that he talked about it. He's not a monster, he's not a predator some people just wanted to ruin his career because he won a Golden Globe. That is all
John Smith do your research.
and you do know this how exactly? just wondering
SETH :"I am very glad you are here!" JAMES FRANCO : " I am not"
Who else just now found out about this because seth rogen doesnt want to work with him anymore
I'm guessing there's something else at play here that prevents him to be unable to just straight up confirm or deny the accusations.
Guilt .
Algiark the fact that it would hurt the credibility of other allegations he strongly believes in maybe?
How can he deny an accusation when they haven't given any details. Did you do that thing? What thing?! Need actual details, not just vague accusations.
yeah, his lawyer and pr rep.

Agree they had a choice of walking out. Why would they stay?
you should watch interview with these women, they lie
Sokami Mashibe It ruins things on both sides.
I don't know how you think you've informed yourself but you apparently haven't done it very throughouly
Respect to him for asking the awkward questions
was gonna like this but it has 69 likes *nice*
Franco is not a tough guy and I would've asked away.
Newcastle Music Studios i’m sorry to hear that. more than anything nowadays people have lost more of their self respect and respect for others.
As Seal called out Oprah via a pic on twitter where Oprah has some girl sandwhiched between her n Crazy Old Harvey Weinstein... anyway I am only to heighten awareness that both sides are perpetrating these things despite media representation that seems to single out men etc.
aMEXICO2010, thanks! I agree self respect is vanishing.
“Addresses with non-answers”
ensayofr probably because it could have been fake?
the temp is hot despite the cold weather
accusations with no follow up, aahhh too bad
Probably cause this could be a legal matter. It's intelligent to evade these questions.
I don't get why he doesnt just talk to her in private
I'm not fixing those typos! They stay.
Thanks for sharing your vivid not so pleasant experience.
thank you for sharing. some men are listening!!
Is there a point because I didnt get it.
The guys an idiot for not knowing peoples boundaries in high school, but the teacher is awful for seeing it and not doing anything
I find it really weird that the accuser would come out with this after James won a Golden Globe on Sunday
It was her plan all along. mobile.twitter.com/VioletPaley/status/904093185248346112
It was actually multiple people, and they probably did that because they thought that scummy people who use their position of power to manipulate others into performing sexual actions shouldn't be publicly praised.
I support him 100%, he has been treated very unfairly. I hate lynching mobs.
You just made me lose my lynch.

Michelle Yr yeah that’s right. The “u just didn’t who u r working for” Escobar
No he doesn't.
Young homey is innocent
Leah Dijon what do you mean?
Leah Dijon only girl he leveraged into doing ANYTHING for him was a young girl named Maryjane Watson. he’s different now and made amends with her. you can clearly tell he’s innocent and bitches are clout chasing. it’s sad that this is some women’s form of trying to relevant by ruining another mans life and career.

Damn. Seth just went right into it, he's like forcing him to talk about it.
Isnt it a host's job to make his guest feel as comfortable as possible. Wtf Seth.
Some women will do anything for magic five minutes in the spotlight. Funny how these tweets came up as soon as he had won a Golden Globe right?!?! I feel bad for Franco, as these allegations have probably cost him the Oscar nomination...

Guilty til proven innocent. Unfortunately. #metoo MOMENT out of control. Dont support
This aged well
It’s unfortunate that it’s such a difficult situation to judge.
Yep, that's how it can be.
@@Sleviron You... You're a sad little person with that response alone. 😭

This guy has all the cards tf would he force himself on women for??? Sounds like bitter scorn women who got played to me
Ultimate Keyboard Warrior yup
Huh? Men with "all the cards" have forced themselves on women since forever. BUT, Franco does seem sincere.
Um...what planet do you live in? People DO make false accusations when really bitter. i saw it in highschool, in college, and I STILL see it in the workplace.
Leah Dijon u are a fool if u believe this
Leah Dijon I sincerely hope you were being sarcastic otherwise you’re in desperate need of a reality check
My man is scared out of his life of losing his career. I've never seen someone sticks so heavily to talking points.
If she wanted to go public without wanting to speak to James first, then he doesn't have to speak to her to reconcile with her.
She was the one who decided not to first resolve a possible misunderstanding they had in the past.
I wonder how many women inappropriately through themselves at him. Just the other side of the coin. Not condoning
"I'm the other guy"
Winks eye*
I don't think that he did something wrong here
5) some women said he gave them a weird vibe.
C'mon, really Seth? Asking a dude LIVE about his sexual harassment allegations??
Yeah, so not fair.
you know he probably agreed to it before the interview
They get a overview of the topics he going to talk about before hand so he had to approve it before hand it not like the news talk shows give you a heads up
All talk shows have a pre-interview where they discuss all the topics together and decide what will air and be shown to the world before they actually do the “real” interview
This is the moment every ounce of comedy left this man’s body. Every single interview he’s done since then has been extremely serious. It’s bizarre
Too bad he won’t be in Dr. Strange 2 or Spider-Man 3. He was definitely that dude that made the show along with Toby McGuire. MCU has literally invited all past snd former superhero actors to do cameos in their movies lol
He was in Spider-Man 3. It came out in 2007.
If you have any questions do contact me @ jamesfranco6045@gmail.com
Sam Coates Thats an Overstatment asf
Sam Coates Not all men have to use power to have sex. If the only thing you’ve got going for you is wealth and power, you’re lacking a lot and sex will never fill the void.
keep justifying rapists asshole ryan douchebag
blake sanchenuss yeah, I think you’re having a reading comprehension issue. I’m saying that people tend to trust celebrities and discount sexual abuse accusations because of some idea that these celebrities are who they appear to be on screen, that people forget these are people who are paid to pretend to be someone they’re not. Get it now?
Such a mature and controlled way to talk about such a delicate issue from Franco. Really impressed.
Gonna cry ?
NOBEL PRIZE
IM CRYING LMAOOOOO 😂😂😂
Good bye Oscar
At least a nomination?
I think other talk shows should do the same, Seth was brilliant. Talking about something so important, that most people don't wanna talk about.
I know right
Hmm there is always two sides of the story and eventually the truth will finally come out. Let’s see how it will.
Even if It does no one will believe James which is not okay James is in a position where he’s guilty without any evidence this can happen to anyone
Mr Steal your cat: and have him castrate me like he did you? Haha no thanks.
Mr-Steal-your-cat is definitely a Belieber
Mr Steal your cat how weak does your ego have to be to hate gay people that much? you just come off as fucking pathetic, dude 😂 but hey, you do you.
He seems like he really wants to flame these accusers but he’s holding back.
Is Seth Meyers Hollywood's guidance counsellor ?
Respect to franco for showing face and not going into hiding

Wow he didn't say anything but he got away with it easily...
If it happened, that's unfortunate, but this seems to becoming a national sport.

Me : "Obviously there are default lines everybody knows not to cross.."
You: "WhaT DruGs ArE yOu oN"
And yes there are some guys who think whistling at a women is a compliment because there's not enough women or men in there lives who have this conversation and thought them otherwise so my point is it needs to be addressed instead of people assuming everybody should know the right & wrong way to compliment a women.
Val Kilmer? 👏🏾👏🏾Very fair point!! There's definitely more than one side to this
Val Kilmer? Sexual harassment can be just saying "damn girl" to a woman on the street. This causes alarm and annoyance. Hence it is criminal sexual harassment.
Cry more about that free speech
"Gotta Rape Fast!"
his heavy breathing and chest going up and down show how anxious he is here
Thank you Seth! Keep holding men accountable!
