- DESCRIPTION
Owning a cat can be one of the most rewarding experiences in a person’s life. For families, they are also wonderful for teaching younger and older children about responsibility and for bringing families together. They are also, however, wildly individual creatures who value their freedom as highly as they do their domesticity. For this reason, if you’re going to own a cat, you are probably going to want to invest in a catflap for your front or rear external doors. Catflaps can be fitted to any door style (UPVC Door, Wooden Door, Glass Door, Composite Door).
Composite doors are generally built to be more weatherproof, secure and energy efficient than standard doors, which means it can be more difficult to make any DIY alterations, but not impossible. All composite doors are different and built from various mixes of wood, uPVC and metal, so please consult the manufacturers if possible and also, if possible, consult a professional joiner before even considering the job as making any alterations to a composite door can invalidate your warranty or break the weathertight seal. If it can be done, the process is very similar to the process for fitting in a uPVC door.

Thanks for your comment. The catflap was installed as the client requested. Always do as client request event when the given advice is not followed.
Now just put the door other way around so flap will be on right way :) 👍
Thanks for your comment. Yes I know, but the Client want it to be installed that way. 👍
Its the wrong way round LOL the locking controll should be on the inside
Hi, Fair enough comment. The Catflap was installed as the Client requested. I know, but Client is King and we do as the request. Thanks for watching.
Amazing finish. Thanks for all the instructions and guide. Great 👍
Thanks for the great comment.
Lovely looks easy to do, but you have fitted it the round way controls & battery compartment should be inside home not outside
Thanks for watching the video. Regarding your comment, I know but fitted as the client requested or wanted it to be. Cheers
Very interesting video
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching
No way is that gonna be waterproof from outside without Ct1 sealant etc 😮
Thanks for your comment. This model has a sealant rubber around it that why I didn't mention it, but very good point. It is always good to be on the save part, so adding an additional Ct1 sealant is also fine.
So you have to be outside to set the controls, and the cat needs a chip to LEAVE the house, but all strays may enter !! LOL
Fear enough comment. The job was done as the client instructed to install the product. Thanks for watching the video and for your comments. Regards
Waouuuh, very nice job. Congratulations 👏🏾💪🏾👏🏾👍🏾🙏🏾👍🏾💪🏾💪🏾👍🏾👍🏾🙏🏾

You put it in the wrong way round lol
Thanks for your comment. Yes I know, but the Client want it to be installed that way. 👍
@@AacornsMaintenanceServices for what reason lol? It won't last 5 minutes that way, the battery compartment isn't Weatherproof either. Some strange people about lol
It's good to see Woodglut have new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
Yes Sure, Thanks for your visit and for watching the video.
The client is not always right and you should take the time to explain why the flap shouldn’t be installed backwards.
If that was the case and it wasn’t a mistake I wouldnt tarnish my reputation by putting my work online
Thanks for your comment.
It’s the wrong way around 😢
Thanks for your comment. Yes I know, but the Client want it to be installed that way. 👍
