    Kind of ironic that a video touting advice about SOUND has such terrible SOUND. A microphone might have been a nice choice for this production. :-D

    Don't you listen before a review? We all already know what's out there and no one says I can hear it at 70mph or not.Useful info to make buying easier.

    I just went on cyclesounds website and found that their product is way to expensive, you can find the shark speaker system on ebay for half the money and with all the perks as well. you know what i'm buying...oh and you can find tutorials on youtube as well for the shark sound.

    Rumble Road amplified speakers are good, but not the best. I have less than $100 in my sound system and it's by far the best I've heard yet. I got the 600w Sharks amp, with 5-1/4" speakers. Now that's some serious power. And the FM radio, SD card/USB port works great. The equalizer is there to customize the sound and it comes with a corded remote, so I can change radio stations, and adjust the volume with my hands on the handlebars, which is a lot safer too.

      UPDATE: The Shark systems are not very good from my past experience. I've gone thru three of their setups and all of them have failed the first year I had them. They just quit working. The speakers are alright but the amps all quit. I had the 250 watt system and two of the 600 watt systems and they're junk.

    Cycle sound are over priced don't sound all the good on the highway. I had one of their systems and one speaker finally quit the second season. I tried a few of the Shark systems and they all failed too. Now I have a Boss MC500 system and love it. I is made with better quality and sounds amazing, even at 80 MPH! And it was a lot cheaper than some of the other systems.

    Nice review. I wish you could do an audio comparison of the bullet style speakers (for metric cruisers) to see which perform (sound) better. I'm thinking that with a smaller speaker and air-space, it might not offer a full range as the larger ones. With so many options, it's hard to buy one without hearing the comparison first. Trying to choose between companies (UNiQ, Cycle Sounds, DWG, Rumble Road, Kuryakyn...) is even more difficult.

      I recommend the Boss audio system. The 500 or 600 systems are both good and have great reviews. I have one on my bike now and it's plenty loud and sounds great!

    Which is the best speakers for highway speeds without fairing

      +DjChocolateChip Size does matter. Smaller diameter speakers will lose bass tones and distort more because you'll tend to crank them up to hear better. I've found that 4" to 6" dia. speakers work best as long as they've got decent amps powering them.

    Wire a usb port using your battery.. Or get a cigarette lighter style and just use a car charger.

    the cell phone holders you require something added to mount your phone. none of them are complete which is kind of rediculous. surely you sell better options than theese

    Stay away from Shark. I bought a 600 Watt system from them and it was garbage. The sound was distorted, and my right speaker blew out after 4 months, and the amp blew out in less than a year. You get what you pay for, and I'm never taking the cheap route again.

    • @spanky522
      @spanky522 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You got that right. I've had three of the Shark systems and they are all junk. All 3 of them failed the first season I had them. I had one of the 250 watt systems that worked well for about 6 months before it quit. Then the 600 watt systems I had (two of them) both quit also. I switched to a 600 Watt Boss system and it works better, louder and hasn't quit on me.

    Limited and Premium? Don't you mean Passive and Active? Passive and Active are terms that have been used in the sound system industry for years. Learn the language.

    dont buy any of this crap the speakers suck and will stop working. instead get some speaker enclosures that will mount to your handle bars and buy a decent brand speakers like jbl, kicker, jl, etc and a decent amplifier, if you have saddlebags you can put the amp there like i did. i dont water proof cause i dont ride in rain anyway i live in California so not much rain here and my bike is in the garage when its raining. my sound system sounds killer but i also added a sub-woofer in the other saddlebag and a amp.. i cut out my own bags and customized them, they sell saddlebag lids but why buy them when you can cut out your own lid think about it your not going to use the lid anyway once you buy their lid your lid will sit in storage for the life of the motorcycle so save your money and do things yourself..
