They love shallow and murky waters especial if u have trees and plants in the water. We call the Pikes in Germany (Hecht) its the most common predator fish we have. There very Lazy fish doe, after 3-5 min they uslay out of breath. The biggest i ever scored was in the place i was Born with just 11years old...120 cm = 1,2m = 4 feet. It around the same sice as me back than xD.
Congratulations on your biggest musky.. Mine came in November 1992 on Trout lake outside of Minocqua Wi. It was 54.25in and weighed just over 40lbs. I should have put it on the wall but I let it go. Didn't have cell phones back then to get a picture. . Was just out walleye fishing after deer hunting one morning and saw the fish surface. Second cast it hit and man was that a fight..

Love this channel. Brings back the fun in fishing. Reminds me of how I used to fish growing up and how much I enjoyed it. I remember thinking back then how much better things would be if I only had a nice boat and a bunch more gear, but sometimes, all that additional equipment takes away from the overall quality of the experience. It’s just too easy to hook the boat up and go to the same places everyone else is going fishing with a boat and often the same places over and over again. I take all the big muskies in our little rivers for granite in WI. Right now the salmon are moving into the tributaries. WI has so much great fishing but I would rather watch this channel then some of the more popular fishing shows from around here. This channel is more fun

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Yes, it was hooked right outside the mouth, could I see the fish when I set the hook, no. It wasn’t intentional. The fish was not spawning. It was stuck in a spillway.

Keep saying it's right outside of the mouth but everyone watching the video can clearly see take the lure out of the fishes head. Also the fish was in the spill way because it was running up the creek to spawn. No it wasn't gonna spawn there but it was trying to get to a lake to spawn. It’s extremely common for pike and Muskie to get hooked on the top or bottom of their mouths. Not saying he did or didn’t snag it, but that’s a pretty normal occurrence for pike and Muskie fishing
Get a livestock watertrough and some screen and rope the screen down so it can't jump out, and a air pump for fish aquarium, and move both of them to a river or lake! It will make a great video and a great thing to do for the fish! And you need a bilge pump and some hose to fill the tank! We moved a lot of fish out of ponds like that later brocephus! 😎💨 P.S. and get someone to sit back there to make sure it doesn't jump out!

While I appreciate your concern for that fish there are too many unintended consequences (disease, genetics, predation etc) that could follow relocating it. Flossing would require you to rip the line and lure through the mouth, he straight up snagged it in the head

They spawn in the shallow water. They will be fine, make there way down stream when they are ready
This is a different scenario. They are trapped in there. The creek turns to ground further down, even when the water is high. 😢

Yes, the first catch was a disaster, through and through. Caught me way off guard, and I was scared if I played it, he’d have a lure in him for awhile. So this happened.. 😢
