Why does no one ever think of giving sanji a blaziken? It's literally a fire chicken that specializes in kicks. His mega form even looks like the diable jambe pose
That's right. However, I wanted everyone in the Monster Trio and all Supernovas to only have 1 starter Pokemon, from their region. The starters from East Blue are from generation 4. That's also the reason why Apoo doesn't have a Rillaboom. He's from the Grand Line, which means he had to have a Generation 5 starter Pokemon.

I'm happy if people like this video and engage with it, because no other video has cost me so much time. I want to try to answer a few questions for you:
Many characters have Pokemon from their region or sea. Kid and Killer come from South Blue, which is home to Pokemon from Gen 2. In the Pokemon world, in my imagination, the 11 Supernovas would be like the main characters of their region, so each of them has a starter. And they are all rivals. And it's rare for a main character/rival to only use Pokemon of the same type, which is why Kid has a mixed team.
I can't explain every Pokemon or Team because I don't want to write a novel, but I will explain a few things:
Law has a Woobat because I wanted him to have more than one Psychic Pokemon and because of the heart shape on its nose. Katakuri has a Musharna because of its ability "Forewarn". He also has a Huntail because he was often mocked as an "eel".
Bellamy mainly uses his fists in battle, which is why I chose Hitmonchan instead of Hitmonlee.
Doflamingo's attack "Overheat" reminded me of a fire attack, so I gave him a fire Pokemon. Plus, he's from North Blue, so he definitely needed a Gen 1 Pokemon.
For Lucci, it was important to me that he had Dark-type Pokemon because he is a representative of dark justice.
Palossant for Bege would have made sense, but Bastiodon already represents the "castle".

The short answer is: Because he is too weak.
The long explanation: The Black Augurite that allows Scyther to evolve into Kleavor only appears in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Since I based the Land of Wano on the Hisui region, the Black Augurite only occurs in Wano. So X Drake was able to have his Scyther evolve into Kleavor.
