I have a 2011 Zuma with 17k miles. I did an iron butt with it last year, which was 1000 miles in 23 hours 45 minutes. It was a beating, but I had a blast. Three months ago, I rode it from Dallas to pikes Peak and back. I will say it didn’t like the altitude and steep grades. Max speed was as low as 15 mph. I’m like you and my Zuma gets more use than any of my other toys.
I own three ruckus. First one bought in 2016. I love them. I load them up and use them to do short camping trips. However, they are just so dang slow I ride them less and less because I’m concerned about getting run over. May have something to do with how aggressive drivers are post Covid. What he said is 100% correct. 35mph you’re lucky with a tailwind. Thinking real hard about the zuma due to its utility and bigger engine. I have a Yamaha xt250 dual sport and it’s proven to be very reliable. I still, always gravitate to my ruckus. Some think I’m crazy, but I just enjoy the scooters a bit more.
I’m in Crosby and might go get one again. I’ve had the older version before. Had a ruckus as well. The ruckus looks great and live the glass headlights and stuff but they are issues outside of a neighborhood
Yep we go to skeeters all the time and sharkeys when we take the boat out after going to the sand bar. I want the 2024 Honda adv 350 they haven’t brought to the states.
How much did you pay for it? I went to the Yamaha dealer yesterday for a pricing. The website list price was 3200, but somehow it got to 5k OTD. Not sure if they were trying to scam me as I am new.
I'm in the market for a scooter and the Zuma is in my price range. I'm 6 foot 215lbs with 33 in. inseam and I was under the impression I'm to big for the Zuma. What do you think? Thanks for the great video 👍
What does a service cost on one of those? I have several bikes, including Lance 125 and a Vespa 300 scooters. I tend to put about 10,000 miles a year on both scooters combined. I understand that the engine in then new design Zuma 125 is super complicated and service is really expensive.
i have a 2019 zooms and yep all u say except no way on the 65 mph as'22 same enhine or what? i also have a ruckus and for city or countrty rd driving, best chill ride there is.
2019 is a gen 2 with a 52.4mm bore and a 57.9mm stroke at 10:1. The 2022- is a gen 3, changed the bore to 52.0mm and stretched the stroke to 58.7mm at 11.2:1. The final gears are also different. I've had mine at 63mph, I can see 65 if I pushed it. The 2019 is an air cooled and the 2022 is liquid due to the extra heat produced by the 11.2:1 compression.
Looking to get one for my wife and I, my only concern is about the weight capacity. Do you think they handle well with a passenger? we are going to be towing it on the back of an RV, only using it for camping runs, etc. Not a daily, Im 215lb, wife is 150lb
I have seen many people ride these 2 passenger with no problems at all. I was riding today on a kymco agility 125cc between 45 amd 50 mph easily with my son who weighs about 150# and I weigh about 210 so 360# combined and I didn't even notice the extra weight. It accelerated just fine. I believe it would have went close to 60mph fairly easily on flat ground. At 45 and 50 I still had more than 1/2 throttle left
I have a 22 model with over 13k miles. I love it. However I'm 205lbs. I have the clutch spacer removed and my max speed flat out ,level ,calm 62-63 tucked. So your telling me you can hit 65? Sir I must call bs. Show me the video, and I will trade it for a new 24 model. I hope your correct btw.
I have a 2019 125 with 10,000 miles. What I like about all reviews of the new Zuma is how everyone overlooks the ugly front end carrier thing. What an eye sore.
It's all about the weights. Honda ruckus is actually pretty peppy if you put 5g slider weights in. The 7g stock rollers are way too heavy for the ruckus.
@@everydaybladesinc I have the same scooter.. have 6500 miles on mine and it’s been great.. only other downfall is that it requires a valve clearance check every service .. can get a bit pricey
I got mine serviced the other day. The Yamaha dealer said it wasn’t necessary every service. Do it every other. I love this scooter. Best I’ve ever owned.

Thanks for watching please subscribe!!!
You can also get side crash bars, then pit highway pegs on those
I've own just about every scooter there is. Zumas are my favorite
Even vs a vespa 150?

I have had a Zuma 50cc 2stroke since 2003! Only thing I have had to change is the battery. I really want a 125cc
Just bought a new 2023 for $2800 OTD… picking it up on Saturday and am so excited
They are great bikes. I have had multiple bikes. 3 very nice harleys. I love my Zuma more than all of them.
I’m buying one tomorrow, used, 1500 miles on it and looks brand new , here in Puerto Rico they are expensive I’m paying $4,000 for it.
I’m in Crosby and might go get one again. I’ve had the older version before. Had a ruckus as well. The ruckus looks great and live the glass headlights and stuff but they are issues outside of a neighborhood
Your not far from me. I’m in kingwood.

I have a 2018 with the stock battery 10k miles and it starts instantly like its brand new, you dont need a kickstarter
Good for delivery
Mine is about to touch 10,000 with just regular maintenance
Hope to have the money to buy one soon
I heard you mention Galveston, so I'm assuming you're near Houston also. Can I ask where did you happen to purchase your Zuma from?
I bought them at the Yamaha dealer near I-10 west and beltway 8
They have several in stock every time I go there.
No kick start on the gen3 Zuma's........
Yes sir I realized that right after I uploaded the video.
Where did you find the side foot extenders? I'm a big guy too and I'm wanting a Zuma 125 so I know I'll need those installed. Thanks
I can try to look it up, but I don’t remember
@@everydaybladesinc it's ok. I should be able to look it up. I'd also want highway pegs and a small windscreen.

$5000 out the door.
What are the helmets with the radios called?
I believe it’s a Sena helmet. The radio is built in.

I’m 6’6” tall 300 lbs. I ride it very comfortably

The service cost was minimal. I did it myself. Maybe 20-$30 at most.
i have a 2019 zooms and yep all u say except no way on the 65 mph as'22 same enhine or what? i also have a ruckus and for city or countrty rd driving, best chill ride there is.
My wife is a small person and she regularly does 65mph. On hers.

@@everydaybladesinc just msg you said hi, I'm Brian.
Nice bikes, man! Is there room to switch for slightly larger wheels? Looks awesome but needs just a touch larger diameter
I don’t think so. Not without suspension mods.
I'm about to do a wheel swap on mine, 14" front and 13" rear. Should make for a smoother ride on asphalt.
You still riding your zumas? I just got a 22 as well matching to your wife's
Absolutely. It’s a little cold right now but when the weathers nice we ride them several times a week.
Do you know how do ajuste thé clock?
I haven’t figured that one out yet.
Take a look at the Honda trail 125 😜
We did consider them but when we bought these there were none available anywhere
Zuma are still great. I own ‘22 and ‘17.

I don’t think riding 2 up on this scooter is a good idea. Maybe every once in a while but not often. It’s not big enough
I have seen many people ride these 2 passenger with no problems at all. I’m 6’6” my top speed is 60mph. My wife is a lot smaller than me and she can do 65 in optimal conditions
my aircooled one with 30000 miles tops out at 54mph via GPS
I have a 2019 125 with 10,000 miles. What I like about all reviews of the new Zuma is how everyone overlooks the ugly front end carrier thing. What an eye sore.
For me that's why I like it over past year zumas!
How much it cost?
We paid for ours cash. They were right at $5000 each after fees.
It's all about the weights. Honda ruckus is actually pretty peppy if you put 5g slider weights in. The 7g stock rollers are way too heavy for the ruckus.
Where did you get the side floorboard extensions for your feet?
I can’t remember where I ordered them from. I just googled Yamaha Zuma 125 accessories
Yamaha zuma istiyorum lütfen yardımcı olun Türkiye den
Sure need bigger wheels like the Honda CT125 Trail. 125 cc scooter is everywhere in Vietnam.
5/5💪😀😃✨
There is no kick start
You are correct. I didn’t realize that until after the video. That’s the only bad thing about this scooter.
@@everydaybladesinc I have the same scooter.. have 6500 miles on mine and it’s been great.. only other downfall is that it requires a valve clearance check every service .. can get a bit pricey
But does it? I read people 10k with no valve check. I’m prob checking mine every 6-8k
I got mine serviced the other day. The Yamaha dealer said it wasn’t necessary every service. Do it every other. I love this scooter. Best I’ve ever owned.
Yes, 500 dollars for a valve clearance service.
No way these go 65 mph. Check the speed using your phone's GPS on a maps app.
My wife easily does 65 on hers. Mine does about 62. But I’m 6’6” tall and 285 lbs.
These do not have a kickstarter. I was mistaken. They absolutely should have a kickstarter. That is the only negative I’ve found about these scooters.
if it's not raining, which bikes do you take to dinner?
We only have the Zuma 125s now. We take them everywhere if weather allows. We love them.
