Me as a kid and now: so lisa owes 386.. So she sells all her clothes and shoes. Which means she is left with nothing. So at the end of the day her dad is gonna have to buy her all new clothes and shoes. Which will cost him like 4x more than what she charged in the first place.
Nice deep dive! Even as a kid, I knew that velroing food to a tray would never work. I wish SBTB hadn't relied on some of their cheaper gimmicks and gags. Even in the 1980s, on Saturday mornings, we cringed while watching some of these gags. I wasn't aware that Lark was about to be fired during that season; where does this info come from? To be honest, Lia/Lark was one of the highlights of the show, and they would have really harmed the series if they had fired her.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives thanks for that info! One of the things I like about Lisa is that she's a princess, but she's not a snob. They didn't go for the "mean girl" character, and instead ended up making Lisa far more interesting: someone who was fashionable and pampered, but who was still approachable. Lark did a great job in portraying Lisa. I'm wishing Lark much luck in her continuing health-improvement journey.
So does Zack being Zackman explain his "Time Out" power? Loved Carol Lawrence as this teacher character.
I posit an explanation in the Special covering "Who Shrunk Saturday Morning?", but nothing canon is ever explained.
Loving this series! I also love how you pepper in SNL references in almost every episode!
Thanks! SNL is another institution that simply fascinates me.

It's either really dumb or a genius move.
@@savedbythebelldeepdives yeah as a kid I thought it was genius because now she gets an entirely new wardrobe and she doesn't get in trouble.

The info comes from Peter Engel himself in his book. And I agree (which you will see sprinkled throughout future videos): I friggin' love Lisa.

Just found this series, love it!
Welcome to the party!
9:39 Don't leave home with it.
I mean, he's not wrong.
Lark Voorhies was in one episode of Deep Space Nine.
I have some Dustin Diamond deep dives prepared. Maybe I can do one on Lark.
Lisa’s dad was also a psychologist on “Stepfather II”
Stepfather II? I didn't even know there was a Stepfather I. Any good?
@@savedbythebelldeepdives very good I don’t recommend the 3rd one tho lol
Broooo that’s where I know him from. First one is great
For the record, that $386 would be around $958 today. Yes. Nearly a thousand dollars for Neon Green. Why, Lord? Why? 😩
Kids just don't know the value of money.
😂
I love Lisa too. I had the biggest crush on her over Jessie & Kelly.
Just a consistently great character.
Yes, yes, even though they were dating in real life the characters screech never really gotten a little cookie, and then scared to go to die
I'm curious how much of his book was legit.
Nice Feldman burn 😆
That man is an enigma! I must have more of him.
Dr. Turtle eh? Zack is also Canadian
This is still such a mystery to me. Zack knows Lisa's last name is Turtle. Why would just her dad be Mr. Fancy Pronunciation?
SEXUAL TENSION!!!!
I really need to find a place to use that phrase again.
Too much wokeness in the narration blah
Just wait until you see the Running Zack video then!
