I was able to get my manual rack in without removing inner tie rod and bellow but man was it a bitch lol im glad you made a video because there was none on the newer civic actually being swapped everyone just loops them not even cloae to the same im excited to see how it feels driving (still building the car lol)
Have new tie rods on my Del Sol but was told when I got an alignment that they couldn't get it dialed in as well as they would like because my rack was worn, had a spare in the garage been waiting for free time
Thanks for the part numbers huge help!
Great video! And the parts list! I mean good content man!! Thank you! I have an ek hatch
Hell yea, glad it helped, get after it!
Thinking of doing this to the '85 N 720 truck i "scored" for a G. It's PSF is like drool from a bloodhound's lips.
Full Love bro. great video as usual.
Hi @SwishLifeGarage, are the tie rod ends different or could I re-use the ones from my power steering rack? Thanks for the helpful video!
part numbers are different so i wouldnt try re-using them
Passnger side Bracket/Bushing swaps over to manual rack?
So the stock powering steering U joint swivel cant be used for the manual rack?
Nope won't fit
@SwishLifeGarage I found a junk yard with a 95 hatchback with manual steering.. would that work? If so I'm gonna go pull it off today
@@JohnWilcher562 I'm about 90% sure should fit
Is the car THAT much more difficult to steer with the manual steering compared to the power steering?
when trying to turn when not moving, like in parking lot, its at its toughest to turn. not too bad just got to put some force with it. once get about 2mph its not so bad, remove your power steering belt and see how you like it, its maybe 10-15% easier once fully converted to manual since not pushing fluid in the system. on heavier cars though prob wouldnt recommend deleting maybe convert to electric power steering if anything
Would that work in my 99 ex? With same parts?
Yea mine is ex as well
@@SwishLifeGarage mine is coupe no matter?
@@homarbaez16only part differences between a couple and sedan would be taillights and like 3 other things, front end is all the same across the line
Good video bro, we produce LEDs for auto. By any chance collaborate with our brand on an LED lighting review?
