This is by far my favorite Georgia installment yet. You've got gorgeous scenery, incredible history, local folklore, and wonderful local personalities and hospitality. And of course the thoughtful and insightful narrations. You videos always leave me feeling hopeful and inspired!
Loving the videos Ed. Every Thursday I play a gig in my local town. I always take a half hour of chill time before I get ready. And every other week I watch an episode of this adventure. Really entertaining and also good for the soul. I only wish they were weekly. Keep it and all the best.
Ed, this is top quality Travel Documentary making ! Following you from your original Unicycle trip it's fantastic to see the progression. As someone who is merely dabbling at Cycling film making , I find you and your films truly inspiring 😀
@@Teetuetenmogli very, very seldom, i've asked questions in the past and got no response... and for someone who's asking money to watch his videos it's very back craic imo...

I normally can't stand ads, but watching Ed tip-toe around the subject of shaving your junk was pretty entertaining. 😅 Whilst cycling in Australia I passed through the town of Hepburn Springs which has similar faucets dotted around the town. They all dispense carbonated mineral water like what you have found - completely free. I filled up one of my bidons to help stock up my electrolytes. 👍
Absolutely fascinating episode and a fantastic promotional video for Georgian tourism. This video has everything, stunning scenery and history together with human kindness and very befitting song. I almost forgot to mention those wonderful KAVKAS Caucasian Sheep Dogs.
hi ed hi ashola, I always look forward to your beautiful videos. You give me insights into a country that almost nobody here in Germany knows. The friendliness of the locals is really overwhelming compared to here. It's nice that something like this still exists. Best regards, Dagmar🥰
Very cool, great video Ed. Meteora monastery sits at 1000ft high surrounded by many others like it but nice to see this little one getting noticed too!
Thanks for making such an awesome video. I’ve never actually learned the details of this incident. It’s crazy that they did such a feat in what, 6 minutes?? Wow. Amazing individuals
Ed mate, have you ever thought to do a 360 video series? it would be different to say the least and interactive! loving the series so far. - a fellow 'somersetonian'
That’s my all time favorite of your videos. You saw that awesome church and then really nice people helped you and treated you wonderfully. I know you will remember this forever. 👍☮️🌞🚵♂️🚵♀️❤️
Thoroughly enjoying your trip so far. I certainly don't envy those hills on that heavy tandem! I have added Georgia to my list of travel destinations after seeing the beautiful landscapes and scenery :)
as much as i enjoy cycling, when it comes to mountains and large hills. give me a battery and small engine to help push up. though having a partner for 4 horsepower would of been made this so much better
The situation in Georgia has sure changed recently with the Russian invasion of young men not wanting to die as cannon fodder in Ukraine. The guy singing on the guitar was at least partly educated or lived some years in USA or Canada from his fluent North American English.
i stay at marani next to samtredia… ask for the swiss you are wellcome to stay… after the magazin about 1.5km left by the soccer field bevor church… on the top of the hill left the blue door… save journey….
You should do the same thing in south europe Albania is a very friendly biking country with its own biker lanes i was so surprised when i entered Albania during my bike tour from Slovenia to Greece Albania had the best biking road lanes
Aaahh, I did replay it a couple of times when watching the whole thing but only on using your timestamp did I pick up on the 'sulphur' in "you can definitely smell the sulphur as well, can't you" which now makes me realise he then says "smells a bit like farts" which then makes her spit-take of "how are you supposed to drink that now?!" more understandable. I'd originally heard "smells a bit like France" which left me a bit perplexed at the odd dig at our whiffy Gallic neighbours.
Oh sad to hear the priest doesn't live at the top anymore. I saw a documentary last year where he was still up there, and the visitors even climbed up. Were regular travelers allowed to go up the ladder anymore?
Do the ad companies continue to pay you the same amount regardless of how many people simply fast-scroll past the ad they paid you to hawk? Just curious 🤔
The beauty industry is sure trying hard to get men to buy all the overpriced crap they've been selling to women for decades, aren't they? 😂 That sponsored ad was a joke. 😂
So it was business like usual for britain and france when genocides where happening in russia. Its allways the vatican influenced states that commit the most crimes.
Where I live if I met up with a bunch of wild pigs, we usually call them Boars or maybe razorbacks, you would want to go far away from them because they bite. They are mean critters. May I ask you something? Did you say about the Monks "pray near a God?" He's the only God. Are you atheist?
Ed I love your unicycle across the World Series so much! Have at least 30 episodes downloaded and watched it all the way through multiple times . Have you ever thought about writing a book about it some day?
@@paddyotoole2058 I disagree completely. Not everyone has time for all the episodes and would bet not everyone knows the complete story since it’s pieced apart by episode. Also brings attention and more views to the videos for people that want to spend the time and watch after reading.

This big guy is crazy friendly and also crazy talented. How were the odds to meet such a person in the middle of nowhere.
He was speaking really good English too.

I knew of this place when I was in Georgia ten years ago but didn't manage to visit. It's so awesome that you've brought us here with you!
Glad you enjoyed it! It was an incredibly place to capture

The dogs look like Kangal Shepherd Dogs. Big breed used to protect livestock and properties but oh boy are they stubborn. 😆
Dam the big guy that had the hostel was such a good vibe good man and what a great singing voice wow if i ever go to Georgia 150% ill go to his place
I love her laugh! So heartwarming.
As a Greek this look pretty familiar. 😄 Greetings to all our orthodox bothers in Georgia.

Another great video. Thanks. The musical evening, not to be forgotten.
Wow, to make up a song on the spot is difficult enough, but in your second language? Amazing.
Georgia is a gorgeous country.
Thanks for showing me!

Looks like they drop a water bottle off the bike at 7:32 during the drone shot. Great video by the way.
cool vineyard, cool dudes.
Another great adventure! Thanks.
Amazing improvised song by Bibi (hope I get the name right). Good singing too.
11:47 - Unorthodox chain-drive on the tandem I thought 😯🧐😆

Carbonated spring water eh? Hah! Now no one can say the Earth is flat, because of Borjomi!

Was the guide told he was being filmed and paid for? Seemed a bit sneaky. Anyway, nice video.

What a shame you can't experience the church first hand. I understand it's sacred importance though.

“To pray nearer God” as he referred earlier, by going upwards they believe they are nearer God.

How on earth would a book be better than the videos which allow us to actually see it happening? It would be a total waste of time to make a book.
