Nice set man! I personally don’t like the international releases the cuts of the songs and the changes Atlantic did don’t sound as raw as the original mix but still acdc is acdc!
The International versions were polished to better suit North Amercan audiences, and make them more radio playable. Thankfully, for purists, the original versions are now available on iTunes and Spotify, as well as the "Backtracks" box set. I personally don't care, as the differences are subtle. And like you so well said, ac/dc is still ac/dc. In all honesty, I thought the original Australian version of "High Voltage" was a dud. TNT was by far superior, and that's why it was chosen for the bulk of the material on the International "High Voltage". Of course, some will disagree.
@@mark_beastpriest5539 None of their albums were duds. If you say that you are not a true fan. The Australian albums are far superior. Less edited mixing and a rawer sound in what AC/DC wanted. I am sorry to say but I strongly disagree with your statement.
@@yowodup6094 I did like the Australian TNT and Dirty Deeds. But High Voltage seemed directionless, as they were still finding their way. It did have good moments such as Baby, Please don't go, Soul Stripper and Stick Around. Angus absolutely hated Love Song, and there is no way they would record a song like that now. Artwork a little too cartoony as well. But that's just MO. I have the Australian albums on cd (I would have to rob a bank to afford the vinyl), and the Aussie version of Dirty Deeds is pretty good. But thank you for your polite response. There's always room for opinion and debate in the AC/DC camp. PWR UP was a fantastic album! Now, I just need to try the beer.
@@mark_beastpriest5539 Can't blame them for high voltage not sounding like "AC/DC". They didn't have a full band and were experimenting their music. Still a very solid album for a debut and I highly rate most of those songs on High voltage (AU). Yes T.N.T. is the stronger suit but with time they developed their style very quick off the mark. I would say I prefer Australian High voltage over Power up. Personal opinion and nothing wrong with that. Besides you can not mistake the genius that was George Young and Harry Vanda and the sound of that recording booth in Albert productions studios.
@@yowodup6094 Vanda and Young brought out the rock n' roll in those guys. The three they made with Mutt Lange were good, and did help them sell millions of albums. But for my money, Let There Be Rock and Powerage defined who they were.
