Menoly was missing her top half, Orihime can effectively restore life, there is probably a limit, like maybe if her whole body was literally dust in the wind maybe she could not restore it, but Orihime is WAY more clutch than any healer.
Grimmjow saved Orihime in return for the favor even though he didn't have to and just as you said he wants to bring Ichigo back so that he can fight him, he wouldn't let anyone take his prey from him and this is why Grimmjow is my favorite character

Before watching, last arc 'TYBW', I will recommend you to have fun of filler arc 'zanpakuto arc'. It's story is argued to be best among all filler arcs and comparable to canon arc 'Fullbring Arc'. Though you may not like to watch filler when you know more canon episodes are ahead of 'fullbring arc'😅. There are some crap or some free time enjoyable episodes after main villain dies in filler arc 'zanpakuto arc'. Avoid that and save time. For most people, only last 2 filler arcs are tolerable. Tolerable for some and very enjoyable for some. Bad luck you watched first two filler arcs.😅 Maybe by second filler arc, you mean, that means 'forest menos' arc. But I mean 'new captain Shusuke Amagai' arc. Maybe you haven't watched it yet. And I am not going to recommend to watch it. Just 'Regai Arc' after arrancar arc which begins at episode 317 and ends at episode 341. And then after watching all canon arcs before TYBW, watch 'zanpakuto arc'. Because let's have ultimate fun of last canon arc in last😅.
So your guesses for the top are Nnoitra (the one that took down Chad), Starrk (sleeping guy) and Barragan (the old man), right? Let's see. Grimmjow and Ulquiorra are more iconics and more popular also because they are more present on the scene, in close relation to Ichigo, but while I like them too and I find the majority of the arrancars great as characters (not you, Yammi), my favorites there are Starrk and Aporro. As you stated, the scientist is basically Mayuri's counterpart as arrancar, I let you guess who the sleeping guy looks like. About the episode, the Uryu-Renji collab is one my favorite parts here, but I suggest you, if you want, to take a look at the manga after. Sadly, censorship is always present, but regarding the battle against Aporro, even more. In the manga (chapter 276) he didn't turn his Fracciòn into an energy ball, he literally chewed his head and devored like half of his body, and this is nothing compared to what comes next.
Many episodes ahead and still guessing 😅 But yeah the similarities are very interesting. Somebody mentioned the censorship before, I'll definitely check the manga, as I wanted to check a few parts that happened after the filler (bount arc ), so it'd be interesting to check the censorship differences as well
